Warhammer 40,000: The Other Side of the Imperium
Project Overview
A crew of misfit imperials travel around the galaxy getting to experience the best and worst the imperium has to offer, as well as being chased by the Alpha Legion.
The cast of lovable, narcissistic, psychopathic, self-doubting dumbasses will surely get into lots of trouble, and rack up a body count rivaling that of Kharne the Betrayer, himself.
---------------
The series will be animated using models from GW and Forge World, focusing mostly on witty banter as well as audio gags. There will be an overarching story in a short episodic format.

Hello everyone. I am amazed at how fast I received 30 auditions, it blew me away. And it blew me away how many people started following this project out of the gate. Im still on the watch for the perfect voice actors for The Knight, Dreadnaught and Tank Commander. If you have already submitted an audition for one of the unchosen roles, feel free to submit another with a different take, or; a 5 minute demo reel of a bunch of voices. I look forward to listening to all the new auditions that come out, and Im excited to work with those casted as the actors, and pleasing those that want to watch with quality content.
The Knight Pilot will be the main source of auditory gags. He is previous royalty, now a free blade, seeking adventure. He is loud and proud, a little bit pompous even, but very honest and upfront about how he feels and what he is thinking. He is ex-royalty, but not painfully snobby. He is a new free blade and looks at the world with bright, adventurous eyes; even though he stays in his knight. He has a deeper voice, which is made deeper by the speakers on the knight, so you dont need to drop your voice too far.
Loud and very proud:
"Why would I want to come down? There is a Coffee maker up here!"
The Tank Commander is the leader of the group. He rides around in his mighty Leman Russ battle tank, of which; the horn is broken, and it was replaced with an Awooga horn. He is rather uptight, and more serious than the rest, but a bit insecure due to him being a little younger.
After just being woken up by very loud music:
“So YOU went from fog horn to THAT garbage!? Okay, no more mister nice tank. Fire Main Cannon!”
(Bonus points if you add sound effects)
[Annoyed]
"Bloody Hell! The tracks fallen off. Now I actually need to go and do something."
The Spacewolf Dreadnaught is 8000 years old, and a bit of a boomer. He is very straight forward, sometimes too much so. He is also a bit of a bumbling idiot, and a bit situationally unaware. Similar to the DAWN OF WAR 2 Dreadnaught, as far as the voice goes.
[Your great enemy has just escaped]
[Quiet and spiteful]"I will destroy you yet, Mariah... your days are numbered."
[Very mater of fact]
“I do not know. But I slept just fine. I can turn off my ears, I use it often when I don't care about the situations around me, or whenever I hear Mariah Carey over vox around Sanguinala.”
The Cadian is normal human soldier, who, along with the Scion; was picked up by the crew after a battle, as they were the only survivors.
Go wild with the accents, on the more tame side. Looking for a Euro-trash accent of some kind.
[Very sleepy, and drained. You have not slept for 2 nights.]
“I couldn't get any damn sleep. Knight has that dumb fog horn on all night.”
The Scion is an elite soldier, picked up with the Cadian after a battle where they were the only survivors. They are armed with a plasma gun, and speaks through a small speaker from their helmet. They are a bit more eccentric than the rest of the crew.
Looking for something exotic here. Anything from spanish, indian and australian to russian, swedish and german. Go crazy with the accents.
[Losing your patience]
“I will overcharge this damn plasma gun if you do not tell me what you had in mind.”
Psyker is the oldest and quietest of the crew. He is rather withdrawn, speaking little, and is usually the fall guy for any failed plans.
Psyker is rather old and worn, speaks in a bit of a raspier voice. Slow and intelligent, but he is starting to lose it a bit.
[Becoming angry]
"I am tired of being treated like some joke. I fly this ship through hell every single day so you all can run off and have misadventures while i sit here twiddling my thumbs. I am coming with!"
The techpriest is an all-service mechanic. Lots of techno-jargon, technophillic, shenannigan filled talking, and bursts of binary. He/She is a bit on the flat side, but very quick on their feet.
"From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the blessed machine. Your kind cling to your flesh as if it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass you call a temple will wither and you will beg my kind to save you. But I am already saved. For the Machine is Immortal."
[Warning the Cadian]
"I would be careful how you treat a machine and its spirit. They always have their revenge."
The Alpha Legion Leader is a smart, intelligent and intimidating figure. He has planned for everything, every time, and even has back up plans for the stuff he didnt plan for. He does not have a deep and gravely voice like other chaos marines, but he has a powerful voice and a large presence. He is the main antagonist.
[After taking over the ship, you are rounding up the captured crew, commanding your men]
"Go and fetch me the knight pilot. His weapons are disabled, but I dont want any funny business from him."[Proudly, slowly, gloatingly. Everything has happened exactly as you wanted.]
"You have fallen, stumbled and crawled through every trap I have set. And, now; broken, scared and tied like a pig you still have fight in you? Your prayers to the corpse on his golden throne fall on silent ears, you are alone as humanity was in its infancy. The universe cares not for your plea's, nor will anyone hear them as we set this craft adrift, as the oxygen slowly drains- your fate: inescapable. And your foolish shenanigan's cease, giving us peace... and trophies, as was the goal of our hunt. You are no more than game in our questing, and you will die as such; forgotten amongst the endless slaughter in the amphitheaters of thirsting gods.
The Alpha Legion Astartes are the bad guys. Many voices, and anybody can go for it. Variety is the spice of life. This is one of a few roles that multiple people can apply for and get.
[Glee filled, with a rising crescendo dropped off by disappointment and slight sadness]
"I cannot believe these simpletons have not noticed that I am not a statue of their corpse emperor yet, and that I am, in fact; a spy amongst their ships innermost- ah forget it. Ill write that in my dream journal later. Such a good speech for no-one to hear... my brothers will appreciate it when I get back."
