Walpurgisnacht: Hatred and Despair [LIMBUS COMPANY FANDUB]

Project Overview

Hello! My name is Isme Maslow, and I am an experienced voice actor and online content creator! For the past year, I have been creating content on youtube for thousands to see and enjoy. While I do like to create entertaining, comedy focused content, I also like giving actors a chance to flex their creative sides too. Especially in their deliveries.

That is why I am setting out to fandub the "Hatred and Despair" Walpurgisnacht VI event from Limbus Company!

For those who do not know, Walpurgisnacht/Walpurgis Night is a special event in Limbus Company where a limited time gacha is made available for people to roll for. The ID's that are released with this event are often callbacks to previous Project Moon games and feature a unique chapter with dialogue for fans to enjoy.

If you aren't a fan of Limbus Company, that's okay! While it isn't necessary, I highly implore that you get someone acquainted with the lore, as this project's line delivery requires context previously established in the game to be effective.

(DISCLAIMER: Sinclair and Tiphereth (who makes an appearance during this event) have already been precast)

My requirements for this project are simple:

  • You must be 16+ to audition.

  • Please deliver lines in an AA-BB-CC format. 2 Takes Minimum. 3 Takes Maximum.

  • In the description/comments of your audition, list your discord tag so I may contact you if you get the role.

  • Your quality must be static-free, minimal reverb/echo, no background noise, and either raw or with minimal edits (meaning no pitch shifting, AI modulation, etc etc.) If you see your audition has been rejected, it is because it violated this rule specifically. Reauditions are allowed if the quality of the audition improves!

  • I am NOT looking for anime deliveries. I am looking for actors who can portray a wide range of emotions separate from that of the stereotypical anime deliveries.

  • In the comments/description of your audition, please list your discord and age so I may add you if you are cast.

If you want me to review your audition, please ask for it in your description!

    Hello Auditioners!

    As we near the final 12 hours before the deadline closes, I just want to thank everyone for coming out and giving this project their all! I have A LOT of very talented auditions to choose from, so thank you for making this a difficult process on my part!

    Do note that, even if you do not get cast in this project, there will be more casting calls in the future where I may reopen these roles for further auditions.

  • Update #2 - 08/15

    Over 100 auditions wow!!! In all honesty, things have been a bit busy for me. So I haven't had the time to give active critiques. In light of this, I'll be doing one last big round of them this weekend.

  • Update #1 - 08/07

    Hi everyone! First off, thank you to everyone who has auditioned so far. The support is greatly appreciated and I've had a blast listening to your takes on the characters!

Known as Sinner #1, Yi Sang (Pronounced Yee Sawng) was previously a researcher who helped developed "The Mirror," a technological marvel that allows people to gaze into alternative realities. Often quiet, he possesses an air of apathy, cryptically speaking in proses and without much emotional investment in anything. He only ever contributes to conversation when he is interested or has something to weigh in on. Despite this uncaring attitude, Yi Sang does have a strong moral compass, and does speak up when something bother him.


Voice: Yi Sang has a medium-low voice with a slight rasp. He speaks without much emotion, often like he's talking to himself even when in the middle of conversation.

  • Her management appears to be quite the source of stress, it seems… (A self-observation regarding a newly met individual)

Known as Sinner #2, Faust (Pronounced Fowst like 'Fowl') is an incredibly intelligent woman, often approaching problems with an enigmatic gaze and a know-it-all attitude. As the sinner responsible for recruiting the other members and constructing their vehicle, her intelligence does come with merit. Due to her position as the company's informant and overseer, she can often seem standoffish, speaking with high confidence in a soft, cold, condescending manner. 


Voice: Faust has a soft, medium-high voice, speaking coldly and analytically.

  • That explains why this phenomenon is taking place here… Walpurgis Night... It is not a theoretical impossibility. Certain major parts of the technology forming its engine have been shared with Hohenheim; it is within the realm of possibility that the engine's influence may be transferred there as well. (Observing, taking note of a new occurrence she has not seem before and explaining it for the others to understand.)

  • While it is unknown as to how many days have passed in these Headquarters… Ah… no. This subject can be discussed later, when its veracity becomes clearer. (Starting to state a thought to the group before pausing, realizing the information she might detail could be a bit hard to explain without context)

Known as Sinner #3, Don Quixote (Pronounced Dawn Key-Hoe-Tay) is a sinner with her head stuck in the clouds. With grand delusions and dreams about "fixers," she strives to one day be known as a hero who "upholds justice" like the fixers she hails like fairy tale protagonists. Very deluded, very separated from the world around her, almost always smiling with a childish smile and demeanor.


Voice: Don Quixote has a medium to medium-high voice that is full of energy and excitement. She often speaks in romanticized English with a theatrical tone to most of her dialogue, almost like she is speaking from a script.

  • Uh… Art thou… verily, a… veritable Magical… Maiden? (Pause) UOOOOOHHHHH!!! (Nervously, trying to inquire information from a stranger she has just met before exclaiming in excitement at their answer)

  • T-then this 'magic' in the legendary codices does exist, for truth? A-and thy most fashionable cos-tume must be, forsooth, to gather the magical powers— (Speaking quickly, asking the stranger a myriad of questions about their "Magical Maiden" traits)

Known as Sinner #4, Ryōshū (Pronounced Ree-oh-shoo) presents herself as a stand-offish, cocky, and ungovernable woman. Having multiple previous criminal connections, she doesn't fear danger and sadistically invites it. She also believes in making the most out of every syllable, so she often shortens some of her common phrases to acronyms, without often explaining what they mean. (NOTE:  She really does not play that much of a role this chapter)


Voice: Ryōshū has a medium-low to low voice with a slight rasp (please refer to reference provided).

Known as Sinner #5, Meursault (Pronounced Mare-sew) is a relative reserved sinner, often having nothing to say and only ever speaking up when absolutely necessary. Despite this, he is a reliable asset to the team and always will step up when a responsibility calls for him to do so.


Voice: Meursault has a low, bass heavy voice that is quick, succinct, and to the point. While not necessary, I have always imagined him to have a very slight French accent. VERY slight. Nothing over powering.

That was a pointless anecdote. (Initially a very serious, down to earth introduction. However, it is quickly followed by an analytical tone as he rambles on)

  • … Mm. Extrapolating from the material and the color of the truck's cover panel, it can be determined that it is the same transportation device used for the regular check-up. (Stating matter of factly, as if to point out details that someone else may have missed.)

  • You are implying that the management of Abnormalities entail something far more complicated than simply calibrating their sanity at a reasonable level. (Nonconfrontationally adding on to an observation made by someone else.)

Known as Sinner #6, Hong Lu (Pronounced Hawng-loo) is a lighthearted and naive man with a tendency for unintentionally insensitive words. Hailing from a wealthy family, his sheltered life has made him numb to the pains of the outside world, looking upon everything with a carefree, unburdened smile.


Voice: Hong Lu should have a cheerful, medium to medium-high voice with a hint of eloquence/flamboyancy (do not oversell it). Soft in tone and light on the ears.

Known as Sinner #7, Heathcliff (Pronounced Heeth-kliff) is a headstrong, blunt, and forward person who often resorts to bashing anything that annoys him over the head. However, he deep down has a soft side for the things that matter most to him, putting up his aggressive personality as a shield from the outside world.


Voice: Heathcliff has a medium-low voice with a prominent British cockney accent. He speaks in slang often and with a bold, sometimes gruff, tone.

Known as Sinner #8, Ishmael (Pronounced Ihsh-mail) is serious, straight to the point, and dependable. Previously a whale-hunting fixer, Ishmael follows whoever is in charge because that is her job to do so. However, at the first sign of incompetency, her faith quickly wavers. Though it is common for her to throw in the occasional jab or joke from time to time.

Known as Sinner #9, Rodion (Pronounced Row-dee-on) (more commonly referred to as Rodya) is a lighthearted, cheery woman who tends to stay away from serious conversation. Once a member of the Yurodiviye, an organization working to correct injustices within the city, Rodya yearns to prove herself whenever she feels inadequate. Whether that be through standing out, succeeding at her job, or making a good impression. Otherwise, she's rather relaxed and has an almost childlike tendency to get excited at things.


Voice: Rodion has a medium to medium-low perky voice that regards most things and people with a friendly tone.

Known as Sinner #12, Outis (Pronounced Oh-tihs) is former general who, like Gregor, previously fought in "The Smoke War." She is assertive, commanding, and has a tendency to look down on others based off of her previous experiences and skills. Despite her assertive demeanor, she often "sucks-up" to the manager, Dante, offering them guidance and praise even though she may not mean it. All the while, she'll scold and berate the sinners for any mistakes they make.


Voice: Outis has a medium to medium-low voice full of bold strictness. Though this is not always the case. The best Outis impression is one who can balance a commanding voice while also knowing when to tone down the "commanding" aspects (TLDR, as stated previously, I do NOT want a caricature)

  • … Hm. According to the reports, when the Headquaters crumbled and fired that skyward light, it was… (Pause) … we might even be able to experience that day. (Taking the lead on an observation, pausing before remarking curiously)

  • Well… that didn't take long. We're here to take care of some 'Ordeal' or something again, aren't we? Tsk, but we have so little time… I must prepare a more intense training regimen to make up for lost time. (Stating like this is a common occurrence, before lamenting that she won't have time to do something after dealing with the current situation)

Known as Sinner #13, Gregor (Pronounced Grey-gore) is laidback, casual, and tries to not take things too heavily. Previously a soldier in "The Smoke War," Gregor keeps in amicable spirits with the other sins, often calling them nicknames or cracking friendly jokes at them. He can be competitive, but tends to react to things by burying his true emotions rather than confronting them.


Voice: Gregor has a medium-low, gruff tone with a general friendly, easy going vibe.

  • Ah… tsk, this one's uh… this one's kinda elaborate, huh. (In the middle of a fight, tense, trying to make light of a more dire situation)

Saude is the current manager of Limbus Company's "Before Team," or the LCCB. As a previous work associate, the Sinners know her relatively well, as she is a hard working, gentle, and amiable to collaborate with. She comes off as cheerful, always smiling, but can instill diligence into anyone she barks a command at if she chooses to do so. 


Voice: Saude has a medium to medium-high pitch voice with a cheerful tone that seems to linger even when she is upset or angry.

  • That's because it's not a public-facing vehicle. This is a research vehicle used by the LCE Department. You've used this once before, remember? (Butting in to a conversation to help quell worries, reminding the group of their previous encounter with such a vehicle)

  • LCB's bus—Mephistopheles, right? The report said something about using the Backdoor of that bus as a reference to equip this vehicle with various functions. (Inquiring partially about a part of a report she had been given, relaying info to the team)

The Queen of Hatred (O-01-04)

The Queen of Hatred, also known as "Magical Girl," is an abnormality that makes an appearance this chapter as an NPC and ally for the sinners. Is is as stereotypical as magical girls come. It believes it was chosen by a higher force to "enact justice" and "defend the weak." Excitedly taking on anyone who dares oppose the peace with glittery theatrics and all. However, what it fails to understand is that just because there is peace doesn't mean that there is villainy out there running amuck. Which often leaves it feeling like everything is out to enact injustice, so therefore it must vanquish it. While often cheery, it is prone to fits of hysteria and depression.


Voice: "Magical Girl" is intended to have a high female voice with plenty of energy and volume, parading itself like it is the main character in everyone's lives (or an anime).

Mark the hateful beings who stand before us; let your strength merge with mine, so that we may deliver the power of love to all! ARCANA SLAVE! (Quietly yet confidently chanting as she powers up her "signature move," growing in volume before letting it all out)
