Female Voice Needed for Webtoon: Wake the Will, Episode 1
Project Overview
Auditions are closed for Karmen. Thank you to everyone that submitted an audition. If things go well, Wake the Will may open up additional posts looking for more voice actors! In which case, there will be many more characters that need voices!
Introduction:
Wake the Will is a webcomic series on Webtoon. I write and illustrate for the story. This is an ongoing project that I am doing for fun as a hobby, as the general idea for a card game-based series has seen numerous drafts over the years. With this, I'm telling the final, definitive version of the story I always wanted to tell.
-Summary taken directly from the Webtoon Episode hub: "To avoid the harsh reality that is life, individuals escape into a virtual reality game based around a trading card game named Wake the Will. One girl enters this world in order to set things right and stand against this false utopia. However, her plans derail, as she immediately encounters a boy around her age, whom is one of many that has given up on life."
What's going into the project:
-I am looking for one voice actor to play the story's main character, Karmen. Please see her details below.
-I will be handling the role of Evan, as well as the other minor roles that are within Episode 1 of the Webtoon. I'll also be responsible for the creation of the video. I only need a voice for Karmen.
-This will be a video posted to my YouTube channel, where we will be dubbing over shots of each panel from the webcomic. This will be used to promote the Webtoon. I'm looking to put my own voice work out there in a unique way, with your voice work joining it.
-For now, this is a one-off deal, where we'll see how things go, as we just dub Wake the Will's first episode. If viewers like it and I feel the drive to continue with possibly the rest of the series, Karmen's chosen voice actor will be asked back if they enjoyed playing her. Just note, the story is quite long and Karmen is the lead role. She may be in every episode. The Webtoon currently has 10 episodes released, with the 11th in production.

This story focuses around players in a VR game playing a trading card game with each other. Players will dramatically play out and announce their moves, as done in Yu-Gi-Oh!, Cardfight!! Vanguard, or Shadowverse. Character Summary: Karmen is the main character of Wake the Will. She is an 18-year old girl who logged into Wake the Will's VR game in order to eject the other users, ending their permanent retreat from reality. She believes people should not run away from their lives and to always push themselves to overcome their obstacles.
Personality: Karmen has a somewhat cold personality on the surface, with a soft and caring layer mostly hidden within, especially for the story's secondary character, Evan. The intense feelings she has for Evan are what prevent her from going and ejecting Evan from the server at this time. She is headstrong and continues to push forward with her pursuits, always looking to make progress with her plans. She welcomes challenges and always looks to learn from her failures. She usually speaks more brief sentences with the other characters, reserving longer "speeches" for Evan when she tries to encourage him while facing an issue.
Voice: I envision Karmen having a feminine, calm, and confident voice. She'll primarily sound monotone, letting out a pinch of extra emotion in certain situations, primarily during card battles where she can act more dramatic. She should be soothing to listen to, probably could even pass for an ASMR. Picture a goth-like girl in her teens, or early 20s. I'll also provide links to some examples that I feel come closest to what I'm looking for:

Sadly dub clips were hard to find for Yami, so this seems to be the best I can provide. For Yami lines, skip to 1:23 for a longer stretch of Yami speaking. 0:09 - 0:14 for an additional line, or two.
