Project Overview

With me being on a spree of drawing nothing but Guns of Gamara au stuff, I've accidentally made fake screenshots. Due to this, I wanted to do a test run of a small GOG series. I wanted to start with some videos in the style of the Vlogs Voltron has run. If all is successful,  I should be able to get these out in late February every Thursday. These will most likely be like storyboards but I can get some tweening and animation in.

  • WHOA I LIVE!

    Heyo! So I decided to change the direction of the project and I will be putting out a new casting call with a video explaining everything. This will include the same characters but will also have some additions to the cast of GUNZ characters. This will include both characters that show up around season 1 and characters that pop up further down the line. Also, some of the characters(Hiro for example) have different voice claims than before either due to a canon change (Romelle's situation) or a preference and character rework(Hiro's situation) so yeah! New update with the new casting call soon!

  • Pushing the deadline up and clearing up some confusion with Hiroshi

    Hello all! It's me! With the first update! First off I hope everyone had a great holiday and new year! 2018 is gonna bring a lot for us. Second, off I would like to bring to your attention that I moved the deadline to 2/9/18. Not all characters have been auditioned for so I want to give time for that. I would also like to ask that you promote the project. It would help me get VAs for this. Remember, I can't animate without some voices to sync to. The last thing I wanted to bring up in this update is the confusion with the voice claim I have for Hiroshi. A lot of people thought that I was referring to VLD Pidge. Akira is the half Altean leader of the Guns Of Gamara. He is Guns' equivalent to the black paladin. He's usually kinda like a dad to especially Hiroshi. 

The voice I'm looking for with Akira is a more matured version of Keith's voice. Akira shouldn't sound too different from Keith. He's one of those characters that doesn't really need a lot changed for him.

  • "If Sven doesn't get some sleep, I'll kick his ass."

  • "You got to enjoy the little things in life, like blowing bubbles."

  • "When the rest of the team found out...about the whole I'm half Altean thing, I thought I was going to be rejected. Kicked out of the team, or even killed. God, I don't even know why I thought that."

Hiroshi "Darrell" Suzushi

Hiroshi is the head tech officer of the Guns Of Gamara. He Is half human and half Baltonian. Hiroshi grew up in Japan and was actually orphaned as a child.Hiroshi was later adopted by an American family and lived in Ohio for a few years until he was 13. At the age of 13, he entered the galaxy garrison thanks to his large intellect.  He actually was sent with Sven, Isumu, and Tsuyoshi to originally go on a similar mission to the Kerberos mission. 


The voice I'm looking for with Hiroshi is actually something similar to Voltron Force Pidge. The voice just felt right for my 15-year-old son.

  • "Whoah, hold on is anything going to happen to me over there?!"

  • "So I'm basically hitting alien puberty is what you're saying?"

  • My parents left me when I was about 3 or 4. I vaguely remember them. Nothing ever really crossed my mind that I was well, an alien? I mean I guess Akira can relate but he's not part of some extinct species that he can't really get answers about."

Isumu Kurogane

Isumu is one of the engineers of the Guns.  He likes to tinker a lot with Altean technology making him be one of Hiroshi's best friends and assistant. He's relatively young, only being 17 years old making him the second youngest of the group. He's usually very happy go lucky but he can be very serious if he needs to.


The voice I'm looking for is either a lighter version of Lance's voice or something close to Deku from Boku no Hero Academia.

  • "Oh my god! Hiroshi! This looks amazing!!"

  • "Behind the mask of ice that people wear, there beats a heart of fire."

  • "If I'm going to be completely honest here, I think coming to space, getting captured by the Alteans, and then being rescued by Akira and Romelle, god, I think this entire experience has been one of the best things to happen to me."

Romelle

Romelle is the founder of the Guns of Gamara and is the equivalent to Princess Allura on team Voltron. 


What I'm looking for with Romelle is something close to Allura but a little softer. Romelle is a little younger than her so I felt it might be better.

  • "I created this group after I found out about what my people were doing. We plan to stop this and avoid any future issues like this. We are, somewhat successful. Well, we would be. I Sven didn't constantly get shot."

Tsuyoshi "Mukokki" Seidou

Tsuyoshi is the hotheaded brawler of the group, being one of the most skilled fighters. He is usually aggressive unlike Hunk( who is the purest of cinnamon rolls ) but he does have a soft spot for the team.


I don't have a particularly specific voice in mind for Tsuyoshi. All I'm really looking for is a more aggressive version of VLD Hunk.

  • "So you're expecting 3 teens and one adult to go to a planet that nobody has ever been to, collect an ice sample, and fly all the way back? Yeah, I don't think that's going to happen."

  • "I'll murder them with my bare hands if I have to!!"

  • "When we got out here, I never really expected to be captured by an alien species and then join this group that fights against them. It's honestly pretty badass!"
