Playthrough and Voice Act Pokémon Rejuvenation on Discord
Project Overview
Heya! I'm Phillip Le, aka HorizonVA, and I've been doing a Let's Play Series of the Fan Game Pokémon Rejuvenation on my YouTube and Twitch channels, where I voice all the characters. The story of this game is so gosh darn good, I figured we could do it justice with an actual ensemble cast! This will be the first casting call for the theoretical first 2 episodes. There will be future casting calls with more characters!
What is Pokémon Rejuvenation?
Pokémon Rejuvenation is a 10 years in the making Fan Game created by Jan and developed by The Rejuvenation Team on RPGMaker XP. To sell you the game, it is essentially a Pokémon game with deep characters akin to modern JRPGs like modern Final Fantasy and Tales Series. The game also features 18 badges to collect and an entirely new region to explore, a truly globe-trotting experience.
The Goal
I want to introduce Pokémon Rejuvenation to more people! On top of being a fan game, the game itself can be quite difficult at times, both of which can deter people from playing it. I want to create a new way to experience the game's story with voice acting.
Cast members who haven't played the game will especially be able to experience it for the first time in an immersive way. You who have clicked on this audition page have, in a way, also helped me accomplish my goal!
What will the project be like?
We will begin an entirely new playthrough on the latest V14 update of the game, from the beginning.
Everyone will be on the same call on the dedicated Discord server I had created while the designated pro gamer is playing through the game as normal. As our gamer is going through the game, we'll voice our character dialogues as well as take turns with NPCs. We're sticking pretty close to the script, but in-character adlibs are welcome.
Session day and time will be voted on in the server once the cast has assembled. Future additional audition pages for the project will include this time.
After a session, I'll take the voice recording and the gameplay recording to edit down an episode for the series to be uploaded on my YouTube Channel.
Audition Requirements
Please be 17+
Have decent internet and Discord
Good mic quality (I'll ear test)
Submit at least 2 takes per line in any format you'd like
Have fun with your characters! They've never had a voice before, so you should really make them feel like your own. All interpretations welcomed.
DISCLAMER
I can't guarantee everything will be a smooth process; it's my first ever project after all, as a member of Casting Call Club. Things might take a bit to get going, or they might not. I hope you'll be patient with me! Thank you for checking out my project!

A hard-working and bright young girl who adores her friends and Pokémon. She’s incredibly kind and welcoming.
However, push comes to shove, and Melia will step up to the fight. She’s a capable battler and quick thinker. She was also raised by a Professor of Pokémon, so she’s well educated.

A generally friendly guy, but he has a stubborn side to him. He often works on his goals alone and refuses to do things differently from how he intended. When his way DOES fail, he blames his own weaknesses rather than asking for help. He also has a competitive side.

A very loud and spunky girl who cares little for authority or what others think of her, including her own mother.
Despite her rash personality, Venam is friendly with everyone she meets and quickly becomes friends with the protagonist. She also has a strong sense of justice.

Lead scientist of Gearen Laboratory and the adoptive father of Melia. He's quite laid-back, albeit a little awkward, and loves Melia more than anything.

An enigmatic antagonist who is full of dichotomies. He’s snarky and quick-witted but easily irritated. He’s casual on first impression, but is cautious and calculated when doing his job.
He also has the power to open rifts, portals to other dimensions that mutate Pokémon.

A sadistic antagonist who enjoys inflicting pain on others. She keeps up a facade of a flirty femme fatale, caring little for others and simply wanting glory and to be beautiful. However, she’s sort of a self-obsessed girl failure who is known to occasionally act erratically and in unwise ways.
She, however, has a soft spot for children, likely due to losing her little sister as a child.

A cold and calculating man who will do whatever he deems necessary to keep those he cares about safe, regardless of how it may affect others. He holds grudges and is sadistic in the way he enjoys toying with those he despises.
He used to be a sailor with a happy family until something caused him to join Team Xen. He has the “sailor’s instinct.”

Mysterious and highly intelligent. She is the most powerful of the Team Xen Executives, controlling the Mythical Pokémon Deoxys. Her intentions are unknown even to her own peers at Team Xen. However, she does seem to care about her colleagues, often going against orders to help them.
She has a casual demeanor and can be sarcastic at times.

The main character's mother. She's a strong trainer in her own right. She always wishes the best for the MC and often imbues them with hope and aspirations when things are dire. She also has moments of awkwardness when trying to appear cool.
Later on, she is revealed to be a brilliant scientist

A certified gremlin who’s a tech genius and heir to the richest corporation in the Region. She adores her friends but constantly teases them whenever she gets the chance. She goes with the flow and approaches every situation without a single ounce of seriousness.

There are a plethora of characters that rarely appear but will repeatedly show up. I will assign these to the main character cast members who are willing to double/triple up on roles, but we might need more voices! You'll fill in any empty roles each session of recording.
