In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep.
And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, *Pause for God* and there was light. And God saw that the light was good.

Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?
You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.
