Visual novel: Spirit Hunters
Project Overview
I'm looking for a few VAs to act in my first published Visual novel! It is complete however I decided quite late on that it would be nice to have some audio for the characters so that's why I'm here!!
Plot:
Deciding to go into her dead girlfriend's flat would end up taking Brandi into a whole new world of spirits, ghosts and possession. She must team up with two spirit hunters (or a spirit purifier and a ghost?) to save her soul and repay her debt.
This game was made as a challenge to myself before I started a slightly bigger project so it's not that long (around 2 hours ish??? Maybe less) and pretty basic in terms of gameplay but I'm very proud of it nonetheless! <3

Main character. 24yo, postgrad student, lesbian, can see spirits. She's a bright and bubbly girl who always tries to look on the bright side of things. People think she's extremely mature and elegant but once you get to know her you realise that's not true at all. She has always been able to see ghosts and spirits but has always just tried to ignore them. Her hair is dyed pink but she insists she's naturally pink.
Voice type:
Very normal, possibly slightly whiney but just an all around normal voice! Story takes place in a fictional town somewhere in the UK so honestly any kind of accent (Welsh, Irish, Scottish accents included) is fine! She moved to the town for uni and I don't picture her with any specific accent!

"Oh I love Karaoke!!! I'll go with you, Jun!"
Main character, Ghost, Died at 17 but would be almost 42 now, theater kid. He's a very loud person, loves singing and performing. He obviously stopped ageing when he died but still acts the exact same as he did when he was alive. Doesn't mind the clothes he died in but hates his hair because he bleached it (terribly) and couldn't get it fixed before he died.
Voice type:
Often Sings and shouts, once again I don't really have any accent in mind for him so any UK accent is fine! His family moved there when he was 4 but he can speak some Mandarin.

"Welcome to our office! I'll give you the tour, this is the desk, this is the window, this is the bookshelf...that's the tour!"
"If I wasn't dead I would so be a kpop idol."
Main character, 19yo, inherited his powers and the business from his grandmother, non binary (He/They). Seen as cold and standoffish but is just not good at talking to people and has never had many friends because of their powers but can mess around and tell jokes when he's comfortable.
Voice type:
More masculine, sarcastic but sometimes speaks slow. Same as Brandi, has a very just normal voice, nothing special. Again any UK accent is fine.

"You can just ignore about 3/4 of whatever comes out of Jun's mouth."
Side character, main antagonist, an extremely old ghost who steals the souls of other ghosts/corrupts them. He's the kind of villain who likes to play around with the main characters, always making jokes and teasing them.
Voice type:
Maniacal, typical bad guy/main antagonist voice but also jokes around a lot. Any accent in the world is fine, he's an old spirit I think he surpasses specific accents.

"Ooooh you're new here, tell me, what are you teaming up with them for?"
"Remember kid, I could easily take that soul of yours."
Side character, 23yo, Brandi's girlfriend. Dies at the beginning but shows up in flashbacks and other small scenes.
Voice type:
Quite deep and gritty but lighthearted. Any UK accent is fine again!

"Looks like someone's in a bad mood!"
"I'm so proud of you, Brandi, well done."
Extras:
- Monsters/negative ghosts.
- Other people who come into the shop.
- Yijun's friends (a bunch of teens in the early 2000s).
