Virtue Sin Rehabilitation: Pilot Audio Drama
Project Overview
Virtue Sin Rehabilitation is a project I eventually want to turn into a point and click visual novel game, but just to get the idea down and experiment with the characters, I decided to write a short audio drama of the first chapter. It takes place in an alternate universe where the earth was destroyed and only high productive members of society could be up in new earth, while everyone else is left on old earth to die or mutate due to the radiation. The premise of the game is that to keep up the perfect society, anytime a person stops being valuable to society, they get sent down to rehabilitation where they are forced to go back to old earth for a period of time.

Our main protagonist. A 30 year old lady who is serving probation from her job as a scientist on new earth, due to an incident. On the surface level, most people would question why a ditzy klutzy woman like her would have such a serious job for a big corporation, but despite how she presents herself there's a bit of fakeness about her cheerful personality that no one can really place. She often daydreams and talks to herself.
In terms of voice direction, she's very feminine but also has a bit of a cool aunt type nature. Her voice is warm and a bit awkward.

Cosette is the most anxious girl you'll ever meet. She's very sensitive and takes everything very seriously. She's only 25, and was sent down to old earth due to her anxiety and severe paranoia stopping her from getting a job. She's one of Marie's closest confidants and trusts Marie the most. Her mind always goes to the darkest places, almost comically so.
For her voice direction, like I said she's very anxious and she chooses her words very carefully. Think someone like Toko Fukawa from Danganronpa, or Kobeni from Chainsaw man.

Romeo may seem like a man who has his life together, but in reality he's a total boy failure who tries to be a mature adult but it only takes him one small comment to rile him up and get him all flustered. He's a 30 year old divorced man who was sent down to old earth due to the fact that after his divorce, he had an identity crisis and fell behind on work.
As for voice direction, he has a gentle voice that get's a little high when he's flustered or embarrassed, but most of the time he tries to stay calm and encouraging.

To put it simply, Daichiro is an asshole. He's very straight forward and sassy, and no one really likes him. Unlike the rest of the cast, he's not someone in rehabilitation, but he chose to work as their guide on old earth. He claims it's because he wants to see people suffer but its clear there's another reason he's hiding. He's rarely phased by anything, except for when you comment on how feminine he looks, then he gets angry.
For voice direction, I'm pretty set on wanting him to have a Brooklyn accent, however I want it to be something he clearly exaggerates since he's a bit of a Americaboo and disregards the fact that he is fully Japanese.

Tuyen is the youngest of the group, only being 18 years old. She thinks she's smarter and better than everyone when really she's very socially unaware and often comes off as awkward anyway. Think Rachel Berry from Glee. She marches to the beat of her own drum because she thinks she's always right, and she genuinely is very smart having graduated high school early, but she's not all there when it comes to social interactions.
I don't know exactly how I want her voice to sound so you can take free range with this, but I do know I want her to speak very "know it all" type of way.
