Hello everyone! I'm Jaeppai, the creator of a relatively new BL Webtoon, called "Videogame Lover"! I've been interested in creating a dubbed series for my work since before I even launched it, and now I'll take my time to get that project properly started - with your help!

In order to create a dubbed series, I'll need competent, motivated, and good-spirited Voice Actors! I'm a very ambitious person, and as such, I like to dedicate all of my time, effort and resources into a project once I start it. Ofcourse, I'll still be working on the actual comic alongside this project, but I hope whoever applies for this, would do so with a passion for creating dubbed comic content, and preferably a passion for either the BL genre or LGBTQIA+ works of fiction!

Since I'm a musician and I create songs occassionally, an affinity for singing, even if you're not "a professional", is a huge plus! I might end up making some tracks or such for the comic, so if you're able to sing, it would be nice!


Also, the more interested you are in socially interacting and cooperating with your future VA Colleagues on this project, the better as well! I'll be making and inviting the VA's I end up choosing to a Discord Server, and I'd hope you'd all be interesting in strengthening relations somewhat to each other, as I'm a firm believer that good chemistry can shine through in your work. However, this part isn't necessarily a "must" - rather just my own wishes for a happy work environment for us all! :)

If you end up joining the VA Crew, I'll be showcasing episodes not yet released to the public to you as well, and I'll be giving you the full run-down of the story, the full script and all plots, turns, twists and information included.

  • CCC Auditions Closed.

    Hello everyone! This will be the final update before I’ll update and announce the final VA’s for the project.

    Thank you so much to everyone who showed an interest in this project. 500+ submissions was definitely way beyond my expectations. I’ll be honest, a lot of you were incredibly skilled voice actors, and turning you down for the role felt unfair - but the competition for these roles were just so incredibly high that I ended up having to be super nitpicky with everything from intonation, the finest emotional depth and even just…. scrutinizing audio quality.

    As such, many of you didn’t get the chance for a second audition, but I’m thankful to all of you for auditioning and showing interest in my project regardless. A lot of you left very nice comments about either my characters or my comic, which I treasure very much and made me smile. Thank you for your passion and your kindness. I wish I could’ve responded with encouragement or feedback to all of you, but… with 500+ submissions, I had my hands full. I apologize.


    I wish all of you much luck in your future VA endevours. For now, all of the final shortlisted VA’s have been contacted, and I’ll take a break before getting back to assessing their second round of auditions. The Final VA’s for this project will be announced around the 2nd of April.

  • Shortening the Deadline Further

    Hello everyone! Once again, thank you so incredibly much for the massive amount of interest you've all shown in this project of mine! Because of the continued overwhelming, and unexpected amount of interest you've all shown, I already have my hands full with incredibly skilled and talented VA's to choose between.

    Because of this, I've decided to move the Deadline up to the 2nd of March! That's only 1 week, and 4 days from now.

    I've decided to instead utilize the last month up until April, to contact everyone I've put on the shortlist, to give more information, ask for more information and request a second audition - all in order to help me better assess who I should hire for this project.

    If you've auditioned, please keep an eye on your inbox (either here or on Discord) between the 1st of March and the 7th of March. If you haven't received any message from me before the 7th, I've unfortunately chosen to proceed with other options.

    I'm aiming to announce the final VA's for this project on CCC around early April, and announcing them publicly as soon as possible after that.

    Regardless of how everything turns out for all of you individually, I would still like to give you all a massive thanks. I'm really just a workaholic freelance artist trying to make my dreams come true - the interest you all have shown, the support and compliments that quite a few of you have left as well, are all fueling me, and driving me continuously forward. Whether I end up being able to utilize your vocal talents for this project, you've all made an impact on me!

  • Shortening the Deadline (and further information).

    Hello everyone! Due to a surprising amount of auditions already, and a high level of competence and quality between a lot of applicants, I'll be moving the "deadline" forward by a month, for the 2nd of April. (The 1st of April would feel like a bad omen, lol </3)

    Unfortunately, despite massive interest and skill within most roles, there haven't been many applicants for Crave, who's probably the most important character of Videogame Lover. If you've already applied for another character, but not Crave, or you haven't applied yet, please consider him! The more options I have to choose between all roles, the more confident I am that this project will turn out great!

    By the 2nd of April at latest (unless I move the deadline further forward again), I'll choose a VA for every role, and get in touch with the relevant Voice Actors. As mentioned, there's going to be a private DC server for us to interact in, and by that time, there will be content for more than 30 "Episodes" (by Webtoon standards) to record, so you'll definitely have work to get started on immediately!

I know Indie Projects aren't always the highest paying or the dream job for most of you, but I hope at least that the pay I'll be able to offer, the experience from auditioning and working on this project, and the memories the future VA team and I will share, will be enjoyable!

Crave is *the* MC of Videogame Lover. The story majorly takes place from his POV, and is centered around him and his experiences. He's part Filipino, and has a few lines in Filipino, so if you're savvy with language or you're Filipino yourself, this would definitely come in handy.

Crave plays the "archetype" of a bad-boy rebel, an anarchy lover and rule breaker. However, his actual personality is much more of a shy, loving guy, someone who can joke around with friends but is sort of socially awkward and who's "fun to tease" - primarily due to him getting frustrated or flustered whenever someone does so - especially when that someone is "Peach".

Peach is the second main character, and the object of all of Crave's affection. His exterior is that of a very soft, sweet guy, and "the Game" (as well as people around him), sometimes have a tendency of 'twinkifying' or 'infantalizing' him, due to his young, soft looks.


However, Peach is a brass guy, who has a tendency to curse unapologetically, and who flirts with Crave until the latter is beyond flustered. He has yougner sister, and a twin sister (Melba), however she, alongside most of his family, doesn't play a major role in the story. He's fascinated by Crave's crazy gaming skills, as he's someone who grew up in a "critically offline" family, where he was forced to touch grass, whether he wanted to or not. Peach does have some anxieties and fears, especially correlated to "being a bother/annoying" or being perceived "too feminine". As the male lead, he plays a big supporting role to the issues Crave face throughout the story, but he also has his own moments of weakness and faults, needing support from Crave.

East is a main character as well, however for the beginning of the story, he doesn't take up as much space - as the story goes on, his presence and character becomes more and more relevant in the plot, and gets an increasing amount of lines.


I can't say much about him here without a bit of spoilers, but he is a very troubled character. He is the one that struggles with mental illness the most, and he's a bit complex - being able to articulate complex emotions vocally within a wide range is definitely a major need for this character.

Grey is a main-character, who's role also doesn't become as relevant until about halfway through the story. He's very invested in East and is East's main support in his journey through-out the story. Grey has a bit of a complicated life, but unlike some of the other characters, most of his struggles have been processed already, and doesn't particularly affect him to a great degree, outside of occassional annoyance/frustration.


Grey is definitely a very assertive, dominating character, and I imagine the confidence in his vocal presence and general presence would absolutely come off. I imagine Grey specifically to have a pretty deep voice, but as with all of the characters, I'm interested in hearing anyone's interpretation, so feel free to give it a shot, even if your voice isn't deep!

Prince doesn't have a bunch of appearances, and most of his lines are "cursed one-liners". He's sort of the comedic side-character who often shows up to say something embarrassing or agitating and then he fades back into the background. He's mostly present in the start of the story and the end of it, however I may be working on a spin-off after the end of "Videogame Lover", where Prince and Aqui will be in focus - so if you're still interested at that time, you will be able to receive more work!

Aqui, also known as Aquilles, is the rest of the cast's Literature Professor, and also involved privately with Prince - he's a side character, however I most likely will be working on a short spin-off after the main story is completed, which is centered completely around Aqui and Prince - in this case, you'd be getting more work after the completion of "Videogame Lover", if you'd be up for that!


He's a pretty serious guy, relatively indifferent towards most things, except Prince - who is somehow the only one who has as much emotional control over him as he does. He takes his job, and his responsibilities seriously, and tries to act professional as much as possible.
