Project Overview
Hi!
My name is Birdwitch, and I am currently in the middle stages of putting my senior capstone project together.
For my project, I’m creating a trailer for a short animated film about an isolated woman who falls in love with a roach in her apartment. The style is heavily inspired by Madoka Magica's Gekidan Inu Curry, Infinity Train, and other horror/cartoon media.
Right now, I’m in the process of animating various shots and planning to have voice actors from my program record a few lines. However, I’ve realized that I’d love to have a narrator with a deep, compelling voice to help set up the beginning of the video.
I need this material by the 10th at the latest to allow time for editing the lines into the audio. The narrator character will not be seen, but their voice will play a key role in establishing the atmosphere. I understand this is a quick turnaround, but since the project is due soon, I can promise results!
The cover image is a background from the project so you can get a sense of the style and determine if it interests you. If this turnaround is too fast but you like what you see, feel free to send an audition my way—I’d love to collaborate on another project down the road!
Thanks for your time, and I look forward to hearing your submissions!

Interested in hearing a wide range of voices. In my head, this is a sort of deep, storybook-like voice introducing a scary story, or an old man by the fire, or the devil. Someone with a sinister quality to their voice that is subtle.
Genuinely open and willing to hear many different voices, however, women included! It will be overlayed over Waltz of The Flowers, and a soundscape.
Wow, what an enthusiastic crowd—thank you, thank you! My name is Mike Gorbal and I’ve come to you today…with a heavy heart. For too long, I, Mike Golbarty, suffered in silence, surrounded by an overwhelming presence that’s taken over my home, my life, and even…my pantry. …ROACHES!
There's a saying—you’ve probably heard it before. For every roach you see, ten more are hiding in the walls. They nest in coffee makers, slip behind drapes, vanish into the dark where you’d rather not look.
Anything you would like, introduction, etc.
Nasally, sort of menacing but genuine. Looking for charismatic, snarky.
I’ve actually been pretty concerned about your mental health the last few months.
(gasping for air) My life flashed before my eyes. It was so clear. All the times I ate. All the times I slept. I just did that over and over and over again. (horrified) What a lousy life.
