Veil of Venom | GLMM
Project Overview
Project Title: Veil of Venom
Project Description:
Veil of Venom is a compelling prequel installment within the expansive Aeternum narrative universe. This story delves into the complex past of Maven Reinhold, a pivotal side character, set a decade before the events of the main series.
The project explores Maven’s journey from a haunted young mercenary to the formidable figure known to fans, unveiling the experiences, betrayals, and struggles that shaped his identity. Through rich world-building and emotionally charged storytelling, Veil of Venom deepens the lore of Aeternum while standing as a gripping tale in its own right.
We seek dedicated voice actors who can bring nuanced performances to life and embody the multifaceted characters of this dark fantasy world. Professionalism and passion for storytelling are highly valued.
What to be aware of:
This is a Gacha Mini Movie, so if you're uncomfortable working on Gacha centered projects, then this isn't for you, and I understand.
This will have some swears, but nothing too explicit. The only characters shown swearing are Maven and Fortuna, so if you'd like to work with this project and dodge the swearing, consider another role.
This is a small chunk of the greater Aeternum lore, so if you'd like to retain your role for a later appearance, notify me.
This will not be animated using Live2D, but as the project evolves, there will be plans to look into animation.
The video editing process is already underway, so it won't be a long wait for the video to be posted after line submissions.

Role Type: Supporting / Major Side Character (not a lead, but present in multiple key scenes)
Haven is a kindhearted yet determined elven villager who ventures beyond her comfort zone to save a dying friend. She’s not a fighter or mercenary, but she’s willing to face dangerous people and situations for the sake of others. Haven is practical, quick-thinking, and not easily intimidated, even when speaking to someone like Maven.
While she doesn’t possess combat skills, her courage lies in her willingness to take initiative and stand her ground when she believes she’s doing the right thing.

A lead told me this was the place to come to if one were to need something taken care of?
Are you the guy people come to when they need something taken care of?
Do you deal with… tainted blood?
Role Type: Minor Role (appears in one key scene, establishes tone and information for the main plot)
The Bartender is a gruff, no-nonsense tavern owner who’s seen just about everything pass through his establishment. He isn’t easily impressed or intimidated, and he sizes people up quickly. While he’s not hostile, his speech is blunt, direct, and tinged with local flavor.
The role is small, but it’s important — the Bartender is the one who sends Haven toward Maven, setting the entire plot in motion. The right delivery will give him authenticity and a lived-in personality despite brief screen time.

What’ll it be fer ya?
Depends on who’s askin’. (pause) The job?
He’s in that room over there. But… mind whatcha say. He can be… particular about what is said.
Role Type: Major Antagonist / Supporting Role
Aubin is a high-ranking noble with an inflated sense of self-importance and a talent for manipulation. He presents himself as a concerned political figure, but beneath the polished exterior lies someone self-serving, willing to lie, betray, and shift blame to protect his own interests.
He can be sharp-tongued in arguments, feign politeness when it benefits him, and turn hostile when cornered. The voice actor will need to balance the refined, dignified veneer with flashes of venom and desperation when the truth catches up to him.

You can’t be serious! While our land is dying, you get the jovial idea to… to hold a feast?! Have you gone mad?
(defeated) I suppose. But… we need to find a way to reverse the land’s curse.
You’re still alive?! (catching his slip of tongue) We- we thought you died the night your parents did.
Supporting / Important Side Character — not the lead, but emotionally pivotal in Scene 2 and in Maven’s backstory.
Deirdre is warm, maternal, and composed under pressure. She’s trying to hold her household together while the land around them dies — optimistic but quietly terrified. In public she offers calm reassurance; in private she carries the weight of fear and exhaustion. She’s a loving mother first, a practical hostess second.

We proposed the idea through the invitation to ease our minds for just a moment. We figured we’ve stressed enough about Sala’s decline and deserved a moment of clarity to just live.
Supporting role — key family figure with important lines but not a lead character
Rhys is the steady, pragmatic head of the household who tries to maintain order and calm in a time of crisis. He balances his wife’s warmth with measured, sometimes stern reassurance. He is protective, cautious, and values family loyalty above all else. His tone is gentle but firm, a voice of reason amid turmoil.
In public, he is gracious and diplomatic, especially toward guests like Aubin, but his subtle frustration and concern for the declining land show through.

Nobody forced you to come, now did they, Aubin? We figured you especially needed the break.
Lead Role — central character with emotional depth and extensive dialogue
Maven is a mercenary shaped by tragedy and survival. He’s sharp-tongued, confident, and ruthless when necessary, but beneath the tough exterior lies deep pain and regret. Maven is fiercely independent, haunted by the loss of his parents and the destruction of his home, yet he channels his rage into action and self-reliance.
He possesses a complex mix of sarcasm, guarded vulnerability, and fierce determination. His voice should reflect a hardened warrior who rarely lets his guard down but occasionally shows glimpses of his humanity.

(deflated) Pointless. The land is dying, and there’s nothing we can do.
(slight cough) Shit… what happened here?
Same as always; accept my next contract.
Supporting / Recurring role — an important mentor and mysterious ally
Fortuna is a seasoned mercenary leader with a sharp wit and a no-nonsense attitude. She is confident, pragmatic, and somewhat playful, often masking deeper layers beneath her casual exterior. She commands respect and loyalty from her team, balancing toughness with a rare warmth reserved for those she trusts.
Despite her mercenary life, she shows moments of genuine care, especially toward Maven, acting as a protector and occasional maternal figure. Her voice should convey authority tempered with dry humor and subtle kindness.

That was some beating you took.
Don’t worry about the bastards who threw you in here. Xiao dealt with them.
Don’t mind her. Speak freely with us. In fact, tell me how this all began.
Supporting / Minor Recurring Role — part of the mercenary trio aiding Maven
Coru is blunt, tough, and not one for pleasantries. She’s a hardened mercenary with little patience for complaints or excuses. Though her exterior is gruff and sometimes abrasive, she respects strength and loyalty. Her delivery should feel sharp, clipped, and confident, often cutting conversations short with biting remarks.

Can it. Be grateful we saved your life.
Minor Supporting Role — pivotal for plot setup but limited lines
The Adventurer is a weary, desperate individual who recently returned from a cursed land, suffering from a mysterious, magical infection. Their voice should convey physical weakness, confusion, and growing hope when Maven appears to help.
The role demands emotional vulnerability and the ability to sound genuinely ill and in pain, balanced with moments of fragile hope.
