VA Casting Calls For The Bright Side

Project Overview

This is a small project I've been working on for the past week... I've had no sleep for the past 4 days-BUT ANYWAY! This is an animation i've been working on and it's supposedly about a little girl whom just to happens to find herself in the 'dark' parts of town and meets an interesting cast. BUT the real story is about everyone BUT the 'main' character. I hope you enjoy, but if not, just know it's hard to make animations with nothing but a chromebook and a strict budget of FREE. If you would like to help out, there are voice acting roles and more to come, and if you'd like, there are roles for animator, concept artsist, etc


PS I apologise for not having pictures,. They're all on my instagram and I can't seem to get them on here.

PPS The origonal name was Sunny Nights... but that seemed to be a book... I hate when people steal my ideas before I can think of them!

  • The Bright Side (Sunny Nights) Project is being canceled

    I am sorry to say that the animation series by the name of Bright Side (Or Sunny Nights for my beginning followers) is being canceled. Too many complications had come up and I am currently unable to continue my work. A few of my major complications are as follows; 1: I did/do not have the correct materials or hardware in the first place that are needed to create a functional animation 2: I've had many complications including internet. My internet was shut down around a year ago and I've been having to actually travel around town in order to find free wifi. My search was... unsuccessful. 3: I was not cut out for this in the first place and I rushed into this project without any preparations other than an idea. These are only a few of my major complications. I am extremely sorry that I let all of you down and I was so heartfelt when I checked my CCC account to find that I still had people auditioning. You all have amazing voices and I would have loved to have you all in the show, or at least know you as a friend. Perhaps, in the future, I could try again. Perhaps then, I would be prepared. Kyara is the main character, an innocent and optomistic seeming child, but she never personally reveals anything about her other than her given name, so technically she's the most mysterious character-or I'm just forcing you to read to much into it, but whatever.

Jamie is Mei's childhood friend and also the only bartender at Mei's favorite bar. He's a very quiet male whom seems to be like a motherly friend. He's very protective over Mei, the only one he considers family because the rest died, and can see though most facades. He'll do whatever he has too.

  • Mei, please stop dancing on the table.

  • Mei, stop trying to give the child alcohol.

  • ... I should thank you, miss Kyara. Mei's not one to open up to most... But I know that your intentions aren't positive, so a 'thank you' will not come easy. I'm not going to ask you to stay away from Mei. I'm going to brutally murder you if you get /too/ close.

Mei is one of the first charcters Kyara meets and also one of my personal favorites. She's a big siter figure and also a raing alcoholic. But, she isn't an alcoholic for no reason. As the story progresses, you come to know that she has some sort of ties with almost everyone and most aren't very good. She has a bad reputation for causing trouble and being a party animal... in a bad way. She really doesn't like her ex.

Vylet is Mei's older sister, though she does seem to look around the same age as Mei, she's deffinitly 36 years old! She and Mei lived in Yorkshire, United Kingom, until Mei ran off at the age of 17 and lived her life as a travling free spirit and Vylet left letf Yorkshire at the age of 30 and moved to different places each year from then, until she ended up finding Mei, where she hopes she and Mei can stay together and live happily as sisters once again. Mei isn't really up for the idea.

Mei's ex, and the one sleeping the the demo reel. He's a major drinker, which is probably how Mei and him hooked up. He's got an extremly light Irish accent. He looks and sounds like the type to buy drugs and hookers off a street vender, hense the nickname 'Stoner'. The fact of which whether he actually does may or may not be explained in the series.
