Up For Grabs: Episode 0
Project Overview
Up For Grabs is an indie animated comedy where 14 contestants from all around the world compete for a cash prize in a cheap reality show, where production is barely keeping it together with the thin budget they were given.
The show, even if it is primarily a comedy, it also mixes heartfelt character moments and societal commentary in its storytelling.
Episode 0 follows Lucy Graves (The Host) alongside Miss Tiara (The Executive) planning together their upcoming season, and as such, are the roles we're currently looking to cast.
These are recurring roles intended to continue throughout the series. Casting for Episode 0 is therefore also casting for the ongoing role; future episodes will be compensated separately.
ABOUT THE PRODUCTION
Episode 0 is currently in production, with the script completed and thumbnailed. Backgrounds, animatics, character rigs, and other assets are currently being developed. The episode is expected to be 3-5 minutes long.
The rest of the season is still in active development and is currently planned as 13 episodes, which will be released on YouTube.
No Generative AI is being used in the making of this show.
REQUIREMENTS
All actors must be 18+ by the time auditions close.
Clean audio is required. A professional studio setup is not. Please record somewhere reasonably quiet and minimize background noise, clipping, echo, etc. Consistent audio quality will be expected for official recordings.
Professionalism, punctuality, and clear communication are expected throughout production. If circumstances prevent you from meeting a deadline, communicate as early as possible.
Actors must have Discord or be willing to create an account, as it will be the primary means of production communication.
Respectful and professional conduct when interacting with production and when representing the show online.
Selected actors will sign a Work-for-Hire Agreement before recording. The agreement covers payment, ownership of the recorded performance, confidentiality, portfolio use, and other production terms.
INSTRUCTIONS
Please record up to 2 takes of each line in AABBCC format: two takes of Line A, followed by two takes of Line B, followed by two takes of Line C. Feel free to experiment with the interpretation of the character.
Please provide your Discord username or another reliable method of contact in your audition post.
Demo reels are welcome but do not replace the requested audition lines.
After this casting call's deadline, we'll review each audition, shortlist potential candidates, and may conduct callbacks if necessary before making the final casting decision. Episode 0 recording will begin after casting is finalized.
COMPENSATION
$15 USD for the completed recording of Episode 0's lines.
Future episodes will be compensated separately at a flat rate. The exact rate will be established closer to production based on the episode's workload and the project's available budget at that time.
Additional compensation may be offered for promotional material, bonus content, or other voice work outside of the regular episodes.
Payment will be made through PayPal.
SCHEDULES
Recording will primarily be handled asynchronously. Actors will receive their lines and recording instructions in advance and will have an agreed-upon deadline to submit them. Exact deadlines will be discussed with the cast as production progresses.
The deadline is in 15th October, 2026. Auditions may close early if the roles are shortlisted. A notice will be posted if this occurs.

Voice Actor
Lucy is a charismatic, crafty and persistent guy in his late 20s who can improvise his way through almost any situation and refuses to give up on his ambitions. He is determined to make Up For Grabs a success, even if his immaturity occasionally collides with the reality of production. Beneath his showman performance is someone who cares deeply about the people surrounding him, and hopes to make an impact.
Voice: Lucy is Latino, and he speaks English with the accent of someone who learned it as a second language. The accent should feel natural and consistent rather than exaggerated or played for comedy.

Voice Actor
Tiara is an executive in her 40s who oversees production. She's naturally a leader and will command people to be as efficient as possible. If someone is uncooperative, she's quick to get frustrated and won't hesitate to be sharp. Efficiency comes at the cost of human relationships—Tiara doesn't like to be the bearer of bad news, but she believes that someone has to keep things up and running. And as long as everyone is pulling their weight, she can be nice, too.
Voice: Tiara tends to speak in a composed, matter-of-fact manner. Even when she's frustrated or pleased, she rarely makes a spectacle of her emotions. She has an English accent, which can be from any region.
