Napstablook

Unpaid
Role assigned to: Josefumi

Napstablook's design is that of a simple ghost: mostly black and white, a long white body, two eyes with black sclerae (the white parts of the eyes on normal eyes), white pupils, and a mouth. A thin black line separates the eyes. After encountering Napstablook in Waterfall, they wear a pair of generic black headphones for the rest of the game.

Napstablook is a dour introvert with low self-esteem. Napstablook cries in battle, which may indicate some form of depression, anxiety or sorrow. Despite this, Napstablook is courteous to others and treats the protagonist as a guest when they visit Napstablook's home (even if attacked in the Neutral Route). They often employ self-deprecation and apologize for any inconveniences to be polite.

Napstablook blocks the protagonist's way in the Ruins and pretends to be asleep by repeatedly saying "Z" out loud. If the protagonist cheers them up, Napstablook thanks the protagonist for being so kind and then leaves. If fought, Napstablook admits that they were lowering their HP to be polite before leaving.

Doggo

Role assigned to: JamingGaming

Doggo appears to be a bipedal dog monster. He wears a cotton-candy-pink muscle shirt with a picture of a dog on the front, a ninja-like mask, and leopard-print stretch pants. He also has a brown belt, and white tail. His lower paws appear to be bare. He dual wields short swords similar to the typical King playing card.

Doggo's most notable feature is his inability to see stationary objects; he can only sense things that are moving, and he dislikes things and people that appear or transport themselves without physically moving (such as Sans). He seems to be occasionally unsure of himself and, if he sees something, checks to see if it moves again.

His in-battle description notes that his hobbies include "squirrels," which refers to a common dog's habit of chasing squirrels. He enjoys being pet by the protagonist, which can compromise his job as a sentry. It is hinted that Doggo smokes dog-treats similar to the conventional cigarette.

Dogaressa

Role assigned to: Brumbss

If the protagonist first slays Dogaressa, Dogamy's attacks become weaker; conversely, if the protagonist slays Dogamy, Dogaressa's attacks become stronger.

Their yellow text in the credits of the game list them as being "finally" #1 Nose Nuzzle Champions; the previous number one champions (Toriel and Asgore) presumably being unable to participate in subsequent championships due to their divorce.

They primarily use their sense of smell to detect others, but not much else, implying their eyesight is inferior, much like Doggo, who either of them may be biologically related to. Despite this, they love each other dearly, and this is shown in their attacks in battle, using heart-shaped attacks and coordinating their axe strikes to form a heart-shape with the gaps between their blades. If either is killed in battle, the other's shirt is shown to have their spouse's picture on it, proving their love further. Each Dogi reacts differently towards the death of the other, with Dogamy falling into hopelessness and despair, while Dogaressa makes threats in a fit of rage, though both show their resentment toward the protagonist by growling and refusing to be pet.

Glyde

Role assigned to: VioletJosh

Glyde is an optional miniboss that can be encountered outside of the Mysterious Door in Snowdin Forest. It was designed by Mike Reid as a bought-in character during Undertale's Kickstarter.

To encounter Glyde, the protagonist must enter the Mysterious Door's cave and move for at least two minutes. This encounter must happen before the fight with Papyrus, and if any fleealbe Snowdin enemies were not killed. Otherwise, Glyde does not appear. Alternatively, if at least one monster was killed, the encounter must happen before the date with Papyrus and before Snowdin Forest's kill counter is exhausted at 16 kills.

Glyde is excessively pretentious and rude, which is present through its actions and words. Glyde does anything to get the protagonist's attention, and even gets jealous of itself at times.

Mad Dummy is the seventh miniboss in the Neutral and Pacifist routes. The protagonist can find them idling at the end of Waterfall's Garbage Dump. Once bypassed, the Mad Dummy becomes enraged. They begin an encounter to seek revenge for the Dummy in the Ruins.

Mad Dummy uses small dummy replicas that shoot projectiles to attack. However, these projectiles can damage Mad Dummy. Due to being a ghost, Mad Dummy cannot be damaged by FIGHTing.

In the Genocide, Mad Dummy is so livid that they become corporeal. Out of gratitude, Glad Dummy spares the protagonist.

The Royal Guards are a mini-boss duo the protagonist encounters in the upper levels of Hotland. Shown by their names, they are members of the Royal Guard. Royal Guard 01 experiences romantic attraction towards Royal Guard 02, as portrayed in the dialogues during the battle.

Royal Guard 02 has a softer voice, while Royal Guard 01 is a typical surfer dude. Their voices are differentiated in the audition lines with the way they're typed. RG-01 has proper grammar, while RG-02 has all lowercase.

You're welcome to try for both voices, or do one voice separately. I will more than likely be casting one person for both voices.

Monster Kid is a young monster and major character in Waterfall who stops at nothing to see their idol, Undyne, in action.

Monster Kid is a yellow monster with no arms, a tail, and spikes on the back of their head. Having no arms and frequently running everywhere, they trip and fall often. They have bags under their eyes. One of the bags are bigger than the other. They wear a shirt with two towers and a plane.

Monster Kid looks up to Undyne as a role model. They are an innocent monster who assumes an energetic attitude that pervades most of their actions. They seem to be a bit naive, as well as a bit clumsy, as they trip frequently. They also use words like "Yo," "cool" and "awesome" frequently, usually considered childlike ways of interaction.

Nice Cream Guy

Role assigned to: Isaka Lee

The Nice Cream Guy is a vendor that sells Nice Cream at various locations.

The Nice Cream Guy is a light blue furred rabbit-like monster. He has a red nose and a tuft of fur sprouting from the top of his head. He wears a bright yellow short-sleeved shirt with a single, vertical red stripe in the middle, and bright red pants. He is always beside his cart, which is grey and red with a yellow and red umbrella.

The Nice Cream Guy is an optimistic individual, who despite the lack of customers, keeps searching for business opportunities somewhere else.

Before the protagonist interacts with the Nice Cream Guy in Snowdin Forest and Waterfall, he has a downhearted expression, with closed eyes and ears drooping. However, he becomes very excited when the protagonist talks to him, and promptly offers them some Nice Cream.

Snowdin Shopkeeper

Role assigned to: saffvcer

The Snowdin Shopkeeper is a vendor located in Snowdin.

The Snowdin Shopkeeper appears to be a slightly plump purple bunny. She wears a tank top, small necklace, and summer hat. The shop itself is a brightly lit, orange store, with shelves of materials and wares.

The design of this character and her shop was done by Temmie Chang.[1]

The Snowdin Shopkeeper is friendly, allowing the protagonist to buy from her, but does not allow them to sell items to her. She is knowledgeable about the monsters' history in the Underground as well as the buildings that can be found in Snowdin, though when talking to her in the True Pacifist Route epilogue, it is shown that she did not realize the protagonist was a human. She also cares about her family as she leaves a note in her shop that says "Please don't hurt my family." during the Genocide Route.

Role assigned to: Andrews_echoes.va.

Gerson is a vendor found in Waterfall. His shop is located in a small cave east of the houses of NapstablookMettaton and Undyne as well as north of the river where the River Person is located.

An elderly looking olive green tortoise-monster, Gerson wears archeologist attire, with a pointed beard, a large magnifying glass, and a tan pith helmet. His teeth are crooked and yellow and his shell is a dark brown color with a pale cream rim. He also seems to be unable to open his right eye.

Due to living for a long period of time compared to other monsters and from studying history, Gerson has gained many knowledgeable insights about the history of monsters in the Underground, including the Delta Rune prophecy. Despite this, he seems to have trouble remembering certain information such as the location of Temmie Village and why Asgore was nicknamed "Fluffybuns." He also does not want to repeat the legend of the prophecy again if the protagonist asks him to. He was alive when Toriel also ruled the Underground with Asgore and while stating that it was tragic that she left, there was a bit of relief due to them being open to their affection to one another.

Bratty and Catty (/ˈbræti//ˈkæti/) are a pair of vendors that can be found in an alley to the right of the MTT Resort. They have several wares found from the Garbage Dump, including the Mystery Key.

Bratty is a tall, green alligator monster that wears a primarily pink shawl with yellow and blue details on the sides. She has yellow hair that flows into curls. She, like Catty, has a very heavy "stupid blonde stereotype" voice.

The Tem Shop is a vendor found in Temmie Village, which is hidden in Waterfall. It is known as the only vendor in the game willing to purchase items from the protagonist.

The Temmie Shopkeeper has the same basic appearance as all other Temmies in-game, with a few exceptions: light gray instead of black hair as well as a different hairstyle, and a sky blue and yellow striped shirt instead of a solid Pacific Blue shirt. When the Temmie Shopkeeper is paid to go to college, they don a black graduation cap.

The Shop itself shelves a branch with a leaf, a bone, a glowing purple potion and two single socks, both very different in size and design. On top of a couple of what seems to be cardboard boxes, a picture of the Annoying Dog can be seen. Although these items are displayed for purchase, they are unobtainable in the real game and serve no purpose rather than decoration. The shop's "counter" is also just a cardboard box with the words "TEM SHOP" on its side facing the protagonist, matching the colors and clothes of the Tem Shop owner.

"Burgerpants" is an employee at the MTT-Brand Burger Emporium, a fast-food restaurant located inside the MTT Resort. He is the last vendor in the game and sells the most expensive and potent healing items.

Burgerpants is a 19-year-old orange cat-like monster who wears a small hat with the letter M on it, as a part of his job working for the MTT-Brand Burger Emporium.

Burgerpants is a highly stressed-out service employee, who hates his job and his employer. He mentions that he originally wanted to be an actor when talking to him, which is likely the reason he makes many dramatic facial expressions. He can be sarcastic at times, as shown when he is annoyed. He maintains a cynical view of the world and his future, specifically about his interactions with attractive people. Despite this, he is still shown to be rather hopeful at times. He can be ecstatic and very opinionated when talking about certain topics.
