Project Overview
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Six years have passed since the monsters have escaped their cruel imprisonment within Mount Ebott. Their human savior, Frisk, now struggles with the busy life of being an ambassador. Their desperate longing for some excitement is soon granted in a way the child never expected. With a civil war brewing back home and every timeline now at stake, will the prophesied angel manage to keep their happy ending?
WHAT IS THIS PROJECT?:
Hi, everyone! My name is Wyman, and I'm an online writer. This project aims to adapt a fan novel I'm currently working on into a fully immersive, audio experience, set with a full cast. Undertale touched my heart back in 2015, as it did many. Serving as a fan continuation, this novel looks to explore some of the game's core themes further in a thrilling adventure, as well as take these beloved characters to new places.
AUDITIONING INFO:
What is a Full Cast Audiobook without the voices of a talented cast?! Below, there are many characters waiting to be brought to life. There may be occasional notes regarding how I want some characters to generally sound, but because there are no set voices for any of them, feel free to make them your own thing! Auditions will end and roles will be selected exactly two weeks after this page goes live. (December 28th, 2023).
HOW THIS WILL WORK:
Once roles are assigned, and communication has been established, the ball will start rolling. Now, this project is quite lengthy. Both prominent characters and ESPECIALLY the narrator will have a lot of lines throughout. I advise you only select big roles if you're committed to the character/narration over an extended period of time. The audiobook will be divided into ten chapters. At the end of each month, lines will be due, with extensions available for anyone if something comes up. After, editing starts, and the public release of a completed chapter will follow on both YouTube and StoryFire. Despite monthly deadlines, each available script will be readily available, so those who want can work ahead and get all their lines done ASAP. This structure hopefully allows the VAs some flexibility with their schedules without inviting the risk of the project coming to a halt. This goes without saying, but those who participate will of course receive full credit in both the video and the description, and a link to a handle of your choice will be provided.

Don't let the excess of information above fool you. This is, by all means, a casual project being headed by a massive nerd. I want everyone involved to have fun and be comfortable. Far and away the most VITAL role in this project. The glue that holds the story together and brings this world to life in the ears of the viewer. As a narrator, you'll be providing descriptive narration throughout the story. Not much is specifically required when it comes to the sound of your voice. So long as you can read the words clearly and with confidence, you're a natural fit!
(This novel is very wordy, and with a month to get lines in, I recommend those interested in narrating to be COMMITTED to the role and have a schedule that allows for a healthy amount of recording. The narrator is welcome to edit their own audio, but if it proves too time-consuming, I am more than happy to pick up editing.)

In the end, it was not one of God's messengers, nor was it a harbinger of destruction, but rather, a small, friendly child who brought them into the light.
Her long, red ponytail blows freely against the wind. Held in her right hand is another spear composed of the very magic that fuels her soul. A black eye patch obscures her left eye. Like most law enforcers, she wears a standard-issued, navy blue police uniform. Its main defining feature is a proud, golden badge molded in the shape of a star which glistens in the sunlight. An insignia only reserved for the chief of police.
Where there was once a fascinated monster is now a small pool of white powder. The vacant car's driver-side door is completely detached, having been divided in two along with its former owner. All the while, the sword's wielder neglects to so much as spare a glance at the devastation brought on by their swift attack.
From a wandering child to the bridge between humanity and monsters, Frisk's journey has been an abnormal one. With mounting pressure to please both communities and keep their happily ever intact, they, above all else, are determined.
(This is a lead role. Also, in this story, Frisk is a teenager due to a time jump. Not looking for a gender-specific VA, as this character is non-binary. So as long as you can do a soft-spoken voice, feel free to audition!)

Once the queen of all monsters, Toriel is quite content with her career as a teacher. More so with her newfound duty as a Mother. With nothing but love to give, Toriel is willing to do anything to protect her child. She won't lose another.
(For this character, I'm open to any interpretation, so long as it sounds elegant and gentle.)

Family, morals, reputation- all out of reach for the king of the monsters. Despite the sorrowful circumstances, Asgore is not one to give up. Especially during such a critical time for his people.
(For this role, I recommend a deep, burly voice.)

Perhaps I deserve to remain down here. My people's suffering was prolonged because of my cowardice. I gave them false hope with a war I never wanted, and six innocent souls paid for it. It would've been a seventh if Tori didn't intervene. I should've listened to you. I'm sorry...
The extent to which Sans' life has been toyed with is unknown. But in truth, it does not matter, as it's an inevitability with no end in sight. Such a reality makes it easy for a monster to lose hope. Perhaps it already has. Regardless, Sans will keep fighting. Not for him, but for those who can't.
(For this role, all that's recommended is a deep voice of some kind. Feel free to have any accent you want, if any!)

Even someone of the highest status can just barely hold a candle to Papyrus's greatness. As numb-skulled as he is pure-hearted, a great person like him has to do their best to ensure everyone's safety. Something as unimportant as facts or awareness will not dare to stop him.
(For Papyrus, I usually prefer a voice similar to that of Skeletor's from He-man. But I'm open to different interpretations!)

Nothing could have prepared the former head of the Royal Guard for the immense pressure life on the surface would bring. Still, nothing will stand in Undyne's way. After all, scrawny humans aren't the only ones with determination.

Not much is known about the Scarlet Knight outside of their raw power. But one thing is certain. They will not stop until everyone and everything has been purged. An unstoppable force of nature with no weakness in sight.
(This is the main antagonist of the story. They dawn magical red armor, which modifies their voice into sounding deep and non-human. A filter is heavily recommended for anyone who auditions, and of course, this role is open to everyone due to the antagonist being genderless.)

Six years ago, Neil could have never foreseen the direction his life would take. Being the city administrator, an ocean of responsibilities now fights for room on his list of priorities as monsters continue their integration into human society. At the very least, the aid of their ambassador, Frisk, has proved most helpful.

Six years… over half a decade. I still remember when they assigned me to do routine meetings with a nine-year-old soon after the monsters were freed. I thought the whole world was ending.

Hopefully, another Emergence Day will further smooth human/monster relations. Not everyone is sold on this 'one society' thing.
No soul. No empathy. No point. While everyone else got their happy ending, Flowey lingered underground, slowly devolving into the husk he was before he shattered the barrier.

(This is a minor role. Technically, there are two versions of the same character that make an appearance in this story. A normal variation, and a corrupted form. For the latter, I recommend a voice filter, as he'll sound like a depraved monster.)
