''You think you can just run off whenever you want, Sophie?! You’re 13 years old, you can’t keep doing this!''
“I just… I’m trying to keep you safe.”
Sophie is a kind, patient, and compassionate soul, embodying a quiet strength rooted in integrity. Despite the challenges she faces, she approaches life with a calm and understanding demeanor, always striving to see the good in others. Sophie values honesty and fairness, often acting as a mediator in conflicts and a source of comfort for those around her. Her patience allows her to endure hardships without losing her warmth, and her integrity drives her to stand up for what she believes is right, even in difficult situations. Sophie’s gentle nature makes her a light in a dark world, but it is also what makes her loss so devastating, leaving behind a ripple of grief and shattered hope in those who loved her.
“Maybe if you actually cared about me instead of yelling all the time, I wouldn’t want to leave!”
“You just don’t want to admit that you don’t know what to do with me. I hate it here. I hate you!”
Phase 4 is a mysterious and haunting character who exists as a ghostly presence, bound by the curse of hate that once consumed its host. Initially a human who was the first to fall victim to the curse, Phase 4 is now trapped in a pitch-black, formless body, an eerie, shifting silhouette with no distinct features, only a faint outline that flickers like shadows in the dark.
Phase 4’s appearance is unsettling: its body is fluid, almost liquid, and it moves with a weightless, gliding motion. Its form is constantly shifting, as though it can never find true shape, reflecting the torment and confusion of its existence. Though it has no clear facial features, its presence is marked by a soft, eerie glow of white or faint blue light that emanates from within, symbolizing the remnants of its humanity before it became trapped in this unnatural form.
Despite its formless state, Phase 4 communicates through whispers or soft, distant voices that seem to come from everywhere at once, often filled with a deep sorrow or longing. It holds a deep connection to Alyce, whose presence seems to stabilize it, making them an unlikely pair. Phase 4 watches over Alyce, offering guidance in its own way, even though it’s lost much of its own identity. It’s torn between the curse’s destructive pull and a desire for peace, making it a tragic figure trapped in eternal limbo.
In essence, Phase 4 embodies the haunting consequences of the curse of hate, a soul that was twisted and consumed, yet still yearns for freedom and redemption.
