Project Overview

'Twisted' is an animated black+white youtube series which I will be making- this casting call is for the sneak peek which I will put out.


The story is about a medieval Kingdom called Eidolin, in which two different types of being live- Humans, and Twisted. The two races live separately- the humans on the mainland as the ruling race, and the twisted on an island off the shore. In effect, twisted are a type of angel, and they are kept on the island by the Queen's orders. The main storyline follows one young Twisted- Lisi, and her two companions, Sye and Sam, but there are supporting and minor human characters too. That is about as much as I can say while avoiding spoilers.

For the sneak peek only a narrator, Lisi and Sye will be cast. When it is complete I will put out another casting call for the remaining roles.

I recognise that my animations are nowhere near 'professional' however I'm hoping to work towards changing that with this series!

Please note! If you are cast it's unlikely you will be needed for further parts.

For the narrator, it's really down to whoever gives the best performance- I'm not picky as to gender/ accent etc. I will be using the audio directly from here so give it your best!

This should be spoken somewhat like a parent reading a story to a child

*helèna's second e should be pronounced like the a in "lane"

Lisi is the main character of "Twisted". She is a bubbly and enthusiastic inventor. She is generally kind, but always has a lot of faith in her inventions- which is sometimes misplaced. She has a fever for exploration, and is one of the only people on the twisted isle who really cares about what's on the outside.

For her voice I'm open to whatever interpretation you provide. I will take the lines directly from here for now- so it would be really helpful if you did at least 2 takes of each. While these lines are only for one specific conversation she will obviously have a lot more emotions to display, so if you want to say some random things (maybe introduce yourself) using different emotive tones that would be greatly appreciated but isn't mandatory! Thank you and good luck.

  • (frustrated) "What?
    .... Come to warn me?...  (mocking) Scared I'll... turn into ASH?"

  • (annoyed) "Ugh, get with the programme. It's time to
    stop believing in fairytales."

  • (angry) "HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT!?" ......... (defeated) "...crap"

Sye is Lisi's best friend and the second biggest part. She is very logical and composed, which sometimes leads people to view her as cold, but she is actually extremely caring and loyal to a fault with all of her friends.

For her voice I view it as being slightly lower-pitched and calm. I will take the lines directly from here for now- so it would be really helpful if you did at least 2 takes of each. *The i's in Lisi are pronounced like the e's in 'tree'

  • (Relieved, softly) "Come on. Let's go back."
