True Vault Escapades: A Fallout Audio Drama (Season 7 Auditions)

Project details: Greetings, everyone! For those that don’t know about True Vault Escapades or the Walter & Bunny series, it’s simply an audio drama formatted like an authentic 1940s radio show, taking place within Fallout. The series began on YouTube in 2016 and has more recently moved to the podcast platform with much more success. It was created with the black and white era in mind with direct inspiration from the popular forties radio show, Nick Carter, Master Detective. Guest stars like Ryan Alosio (Deacon from Fallout 4), MrMattyPlays (YouTuber), and Lane Compton (John Donovan from Mafia III) have even been featured. It's a podcast that has over 600,000 streams and is growing quite rapidly.
Synopsis: Taking place sometime before the events of 'Fallout: New Vegas', follow the story of a tough-as-nails wasteland detective, and a blonde-bombshell vault girl as they solve some of postwar America’s biggest mysteries. From the harsh lands of Texas to the war-torn deserts of the Mojave, Walter & Bunny risk it all to expose sensational murders, crime syndicates, and even cold cases from over 200 years ago. All of it draped in a 1940s noir blanket. Includes the full package: Trans-Atlantic accents, vinyl grain, and even era-appropriate music. All created for the A-bomb Radio app/web station.
Technical Requirements: Although I am not picky about mics, I DO care about recording quality. That being said, I will not consider auditions with low volume, pops & clicks, static, etc.

A California-based environmental scientist and the best friend of the protagonist. He’s a loyal companion, but extremely anti-confrontational. Mercer’s strengths are in the lab, and that’s about it.

We were so gullible: so much goodwill among neighbors for once that we really considered his offer of “protection” as genuine. Come to find out, paying for his “services” meant another week without his boys rampaging us.
And now, I wish I were gone, despite the progress. One moment, we had order and boring routines, the next…we’re slaughtering each other and risking life and limb to get irradiated Fancy Lads from the nearest dumpster.
A wasteland settler and the love interest of the protagonist. Carmen is a quiet and timid young woman who only wishes to live a life of peace in the harsh wasteland, but is also hiding a concerning disease from everyone around her.
VOICE: Young, General American. Usually speaks in a polite/shy tone.

A Raider/mercenary, part of a larger outfit in California. Out of his two compatriots, Ned takes on a leadership role: organizing jobs, barking orders, all the while carrying a smug attitude.

Shiloh, who once served as an accountant, is an extremely smart and savvy settler from California. Shiloh is professional as she is firm when she needs to be. Although she’d rather busy herself with paperwork, she will not hesitate to grab a gun and defend her friends with extreme viciousness.

Safety codes are dead, Howard. Let’s just see how far we can get. Besides, I’d rather lose a leg from a roof collapse than a mutant biting it off.
Yeah, caps. Bottlecaps, especially from Nuka Cola, are being traded as cash if you’re not bartering. It’s only word-of-mouth for the most part, but we did have some travelers try to pay with the stuff back home a few times. If I were you, I’d put aside time to construct a treasury.
‘Was an accountant before and after the bombs. The last settlement was easy work compared to this, but it wasn’t just money I was in charge of: I’m good with just about anything a terminal can do, if not, better.
Big, brash, and a little bit paranoid, Howard was once the greatest handymen in the southwest, but now offers his services to rebuild a massive settlement. Howard embodies the blue-collar country uncle: a thick beard, pot-belly, but an extremely dedicated work ethic.

Yes! Not everybody got blown apart by the bombs, and this neighborhood had a plan for those who couldn’t get into the vaults. It worked for the most part…but we’re losing to the elements day by day.
Trust me, handymen with careers as long as I have get to be members of the family in many homes. Most of them were destroyed, but with the amount of people still breathing in them, I couldn’t be happier.
We’ve got a broken bunch of structures, sure. That’s just a puzzle half finished. It won’t be perfect, but hey — it’ll be better than half the matchstick houses you’ll see out there. Give it time, Ray: ‘We keep up like this, take in a few more builders… this place might look like it never got touched at all.
Josh is a relatively new raider with a notorious violent streak and a cocky attitude. Although a bit green, Josh has amassed an impressive gang and has successfully sacked settlements.

A high-ranking member of the Powder Gangers with ambitions of glory and legendary status. He’s slightly smug and always believes the outcome will turn in his favor.

A Mojave outlaw known for his gunslinging and violent crimes across the wastes. Mannie is the subject of an ongoing public rivalry with another local outlaw that has escalated. He plays tough, but in truth, his rival scares him to death.

One of the West’s most notorious and deadly warlords, Shogun is a calculated killer who specializes in melee combat and swordplay. Although locals depict him as a mindless savage, he’s actually an intelligent tactician with a wide knowledge of history and survival (think Caesar from Fallout: New Vegas)

Head Paladin of the Mojave chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel. Hardin is extremely loyal to the BoS but carries an ongoing grudge with his Elder, Nolan McNamara, particularly for his reclusive handling of the chapter.

Excuse my forwardness, Elder, but could you imagine if The Citadel got word of our current state of affairs with this little scrabble outcropping? Considering we have practically NO presence here as it is, just think of what it says when our oldest enemy has us biting our fingernails from beyond the grave!
The entire reason we see the ruins before us is BECAUSE the right tools were placed in the hands of the wrong people. There’s not much of a science to it because it doesn’t take a scientist to know these things.
You see why we do what we do, detective?? In the pursuit of technology THEY think they have dominion over, they’ve utilized even more dangerous technology to get a hold of it!
