HOW TO MAKE "THEM" NOT SCARY!
Project Overview
HOW TO MAKE “THEM” NOT SCARY is a short animated parody project inspired by How to Make FNAF Not Scary, blending unsettling atmosphere with dry, situational humor. Set in the underground world of Cityfolk, it follows Mirror, a young ethical doctor trapped inside a masked, cult-like organization that operates with eerie corporate calm. They call themselves “Them”
Created as a gift for a close friend, the animation leans into character-driven comedy, awkward tension, and stylized horror rather than fear. It’s a playful yet carefully crafted piece meant to be shared, voiced, and enjoyed. Mixing parody, worldbuilding, and personal affection into a small narrative project.
This project is a gift for other close friend of mine ! (I’m the best, I know) These characters belong to them and me! This is a parody project, with dry humor and funny situations who may not be suitable for all public!
I’m planning to just make one short episode (for now), this might be a small mini-project!
Stoic, serious, mean edge. Doesn’t open up easily, she sounds like someone with few friends. Voice: Feminine, but low and grave. Smooth, serious, tired, intimidating.

“I’m not here to make friends. I’m here to get it done.”
(coldly) “Stop wasting time. Weakness isn’t an excuse.”
A kind-hearted, courteous, low-ranking cult worker who tries to act like a cool, chill guy but is actually nervous, awkward, clumsy, and easily intimidated, often bullied for his status, yet remains well-intentioned and obedient toward his superiors.
A soft but masculine voice; he tries to come across as a cool, chill guy, but he’s actually nervous, awkward, and a little clumsy. He becomes warmer and more genuine around Mirror, with a quiet inner strength beneath his vulnerability.

“Uh… was that supposed to happen?”
"Oh. Hey, Mirror. I was… uh, not waiting for you or anything.”
“For once, I’d like to do something my way.”
Mark is one of the radio hosts; he likes knowing that he isn't at the bottom of the chain; however, he doesn’t have a superiority complex about it. He's a pretty laid-back guy, not taking the job as seriously as he should.
A calm charming voice, Somewhat playful.
You know what's nice about not being the one in charge? If things go south, there's always someone else to blame
Hey, relax. You don't have to explain yourself to me. If I wanted to judge you, I would've already done it.
Me? Getting into trouble? No, no… I was just there. The fact that I somehow ended up right in the middle of it is a whole different story.
