Trojan War

Trojan War

Project Overview

It is said there are stories that are so powerful, they transcend time. We all know the stories of the Trojan War, even if we don’t realize we do. The dashing Paris, whose love was so strong, it starts a long, terrible war that kills tens of thousands. Brave Achilles, whose exploits as Greece’s greatest warrior are overshadowed by his infamous end. Prophet Cassandra, whose accurate visions of Troy's end go unheard by those around her. These stories and more make up the Trojan War Cycle. But these stories have never been fully explored entirely in a single project... until now.

Over the course of the next 5-6 years, my team and I will be producing four 8-10 episode seasons chronicling the entire story. The series will be animated using Unreal Engine 5, with live voice actors supplying scripted dialogue for the characters. If you are interested in helping us with this project, you can submit an audition for any of the roles below or contact me at [redacted] for more information. Thank you, and I hope to see you soon!

The most beautiful woman in the world (a Margot Robbie type). However, her beauty is more a curse than anything, as she lives in a world where she has no agency of her own, and must bend to the will of the men around her. She is a frustrated woman, unhappy with her marriage and circumstances, and is desperate to flee from all of it.

  • (angry, betrayed) All this time, I put up with him because I thought I had chosen him. But I hadn't. You chose him. Justify all you wish, I don't care what your reasons were. Stay away from me, both of you.

  • (open, casual chat) Sounds like Menelaus. Causes some accident in his drunkness, and doesn't bother to check if I'm okay. Hell, that's literally any man in Greece.

  • (losing it, manic) No need to worry about me. Not like my opinions really matter. Oh, by the way, Menelaus is doing fine. All is well in his world. Menelaus, Menelaus. The man I picked. I picked him, didn't I. What a happy couple we are. Just as long as he's happy, that's all that matters, isn't it? It doesn't matter what I want. It doesn't matter if my feelings are taken into account. I'm the prize. The most beautiful woman in the world, the envy of all men. What kind of thoughts would I possibly have? No one needs to care about my well being. I have everything I could possible ever want. Just smile and be pretty, and don't ever give your opinion, because your husband might not like that. Just be a good little wife and make your husband happy, like you were taught to do from birth.

King of Sparta. Loud, raucous, trusting. Menelaus is a man of his times, and a brave one at that. He is a deeply trusting man, almost to a fault. He is unaware of his own surroundings, and is best described as a caveman husband, treating his wife Helen as a trophy rather than as a person. However, he's not without his positives. He deeply loves his family, and is your most loyal friend when he deems you worthy of such loyalty.

  • (oblivious, joyous, thinking he's romantic) No, no, no! You need to look stunning, just like the day I met you. I want the Trojans drooling over you. You're the most beautiful woman in the world! I want the Trojans to know it! Now go! Change! I'll meet them and bring them to you while you do.

  • (having a good time) So, his herald hands him this enormous goblet of mead. He's already had a few packed away. And we're all telling him, don't do it sire, you can't hold it. And of course, the old man roars out something like "My liver is as good as yours, young man". He snatches it up, downs the entire goblet, and it looks like he's alright for a moment. And then, without warning, he vomits up the entire thing all over the herald! (laugh heartily) Ah, Tyndareus. May that man rest in the realm of Hades.

  • (angry, hurt, betrayed) I trusted him. I invited him into my house. I showed him and his men all the hospitality that was within my power. And he repays me by stealing my wife, robbing my treasury, and setting fire to my palace, with my daughter inside of it! I want blood, brother. I want HIS blood, and I will not rest until I get it!!

  • (encouraging, inspiring) Brother, look me in the eye. You are Paris, son of Priam. One of the most talented negotiators I have ever seen. Everyone you meet likes you, wants to talk to you. • (commanding, weighing a heavy decision) You will take him out into the forest. No one must know you are there or what you are about to do. You must return to Troy before dawn. I know you will not fail me, Agelaus.

  • (on the verge of tears) For eighteen years, I have agonized over you, and the decision I made. The greatest regret of my life was giving you to the forest. Our son has come back to us!

  • (Longing for old days) I was only sixteen, not even a man grown. There wasn't as many of us as there are of you and your brothers, but there were still plenty. I was the youngest out of at least 12 brothers and sisters, so no one really payed much attention to me. And with my mother dying soon after my birth, and my father too busy running the city, I was raised by the nannies. Everyone ignored me. I was the runt of the litter, who cared what I did. I was irrelevant. Except for one, my sister, Hesione. She acknowledged me, played with me when I was a child, came to my room when I was scared, comforted me when I needed it. She was the only one who I could truly consider family. Which was why I pleaded and begged with my father when the oracle decreed her death to assuage the anger of Apollo and Posiedon. Had it not been for a passing Hercules, I would've lost her forever. Of course, in typical Greek faction, the man wanted compensation for his noble efforts. My father, the proud man that he was, scoffed at him and told him to return to his lands where he came from. He did, and the following year, he returned to Troy, except this time, with 20,000 soldiers, personally trained by him. The war did not last the year, for despite our formidable defenses, my father was a poor general. Hercules personally killed my father. His soldiers massacred all of my brothers, and was about to kill me too, when my sister stepped in. She offered herself up to him as his hostage and concubine in exchange for my life. So she went with them, and I was spared, the new king of Troy. The last gift my sister gave me was my life, and so I wish to repay the debt.

  • (stately) Welcome all, great lords of Greece. I am honored to host you all for this special occasion. As you all know, my eldest daughter, Helen, has celebrated her 18th year on this earth, and she is now ready to be married. Every man here in this room helped in returning her back to me after she was abducted by the fowl Theseus of Athens, which is why I have invited you all here to make your case for why you are the best suitor for her. By the end of this festival, one of you will be coming home a very lucky man. May high and mighty Aphrodite smile upon the best man!

Odysseus's archnemesis. A passive-aggressive opportunist bordering on sociopathy. Though he manages to carry favor with the Greek elites, there is an air about him that makes you wanna punch him in the face. He has no regards for the safety of anyone, and relishes in psychologically tormenting Odysseus. Just the very sound of his voice makes you wanna choke him out.

  • (venomous, cruel) Oh yes. Quite an episode he put us through to get him here. Did you know he tried to avoid his call to service. He tried to feign lameness to excuse himself. You put on quite the show to, didn't you, Odysseus. Got fully naked for the ruse.
