Treasure Island - The audio drama: Extra character!

Treasure Island - The audio drama: Extra character!

Project Overview

Hi, and thanks for checking out this casting call!

Treasure Island the audio drama is currently in production with 3 episodes currently released on Youtube, with each episode running 5-10 minutes roughly.

This project will be covering around 25 chapters of the Treasure Island book, and is released in episodes. The 25 chapters will hopefully be released by the end of the year.

Once cast, I will contact the actor directly with a script. It's up to the actor if he'd prefer a personal skype call, so I can direct him, or, if he feels comfortable tackling the lines on his own, he can do so. If lines are not correct, or they don't fit well with the product, re-recording sessions may be required.

The goal of this show is for it to sound like, "a movie for your ears". I'm looking for top notch acting talent, with high-quality audio. Poor acting and audio will lessen the storytelling and overall quality of the project.

A 45 year old loyal gamekeeper of Squire Trelawney. A good man, grouchy, shy, and easily made uncomfortable by people he doesn't know, but is totally loyal and caring to his friends, especially to the Squire. Open to English, Scottish, or Irish accent.

  • (A bit overwhelmed, uncomfortable) "Calm yourself young master! (Humph!) Now,
dear Livesey, I write from Old Anchor Inn, Bristol, on March 1st."

  • (Uncomfortable, disappointed) "Ehh..It does look that way, doesn't it?
    Fantastic."

  • (Placing down a very heavy crate) "Errgh.....My, that there is a mighty heavy lift. that is."
