Project Overview
STORY SYNOPSIS
A strange phenomenon called "Perfect Possession" is taking place. A phenomenon where one is taken over by a completely different person, not only in mind, but also in body. But have no worry: Reimu is already on her way to investigate the cause behind its occurrence.
"The strongest duo have joined forces."
"Something bad may be in store for us humans."
"An opponent impossible to defeat by anybody alone?"
Ludicrous rumors are circulating, seemingly out of the fear in human villagers' hearts.
The so-called Urban Legend Incidents, yet to be resolved, have bestowed unsubstantiated rumors with a tendency to manifest in concrete forms. And this time, the Perfect Possession is obviously yet another Urban Legend Incident.
This story is about those who keep watch on Perfect Possession, those who exploit it, those unwittingly dragged into it, and those working to expose the threat behind it...
Those who have made the mistake of seeing themselves as the strongest duo. This is a bittersweet story about them.
WHAT IS THIS?
For those who don't know what this is it's a Touhou Fighting Game Spin-off. Touhou is a series that needs no introduction as its generally popular not only in Japan but has attained at least a cult classic status in west. Fan dubs however seem to be lacking for this series, generally on account of the minimal story in the main games So I decided to give one of its more story heavy spin-offs this treatment. This dub will cover all the stories in a multi-part series that I plan to upload to YouTube.
GENERAL NOTES
A few notes to mention right off the bat:
1) This game has some names that are very hard to pronounce, The Touhou Wiki has audio pronunciations on just about all of these characters and I will help out as needed with the pronunciations. It doesn't have to be perfect but expect a few weird hard names.
2) The story is all ages however the project is more like 15+ for some minor swearing (nothing stronger then damn or hell).
AUDITIONING NOTES
1) Good Audio Quality - This Basically means having a good sounding mic with little to no background noise. It doesn't have to be professional grade microphones but still good enough that you can be clearly heard and again reducing external noise as much as possible.
2) Discord is Required - My method of communication is Discord. So you will need a discord for this project so I can get in touch with you throughout it. I will give my Discord privately in the CCC PM's when the time comes around.
3) An Introduction is Preferable - Introducing yourself in an audition is something I generally like but it by no means necessary. I generally like it because I believe it helps me get a sense of who I'm working with. Again not needed or will factor too much into the audition, I just think it would be nice.
4) Feedback - I will give feedback if you want it but let me know that you want it. PM me on CCC and I will provide it. I will also likely provide it if I have it. Though if you want it specifically PM me or you can even comment on the audition/project.
5) Voice References - The game has no voice acting and any voice acting the series might have is exclusive to Japanese. I openly invite different interpretations and variations to the role. There is a lot of flexibility so have fun with it.
6) Deadline - I will not do casting until the around the time of the deadline, I also generally won't extend the project unless absolutely needed.
7) Availability - I will try to available for my crew as much as I can. I would respect similar treatment in kind. You don't have to be available every second of everyday but I would like to be able to readily able to reach.
8) This is Welcome to Everyone - By this I mean that you don't have to have read this story/ have a lot of experience with the series. Experience might help but I welcome anyone to try for theses role no matter your knowledge of this game.
9) Everyone has a Major Role - The game is split up into multiple stories with each story staring a pair as they go through the incidents. This means everyone will be in the staring role. Everyone will also have a few instances where they will appear in someone else's story as a fight so there is no shortage screen time for everyone.
10) Have Fun and Be Nice - If you enjoy what your doing chances are you'll give a better job, so please keep comments civil and try not to stress. I want this to be a good project but I welcome all matter of people to try it out. And for those leaving comments on auditions I do ask you be respectful.
A FINAL NOTE
This is a passion project of a small game from a series I genuinely just enjoy. And it's a project I want ultimately have fin with while putting out a good quality product. You don't need to be the best in your craft with the best equipment for this project as as the end of the day it's really just meant for fun. And so your passion will be noticed and heavily appreciated.

Plays a major role in: Reimu and Kasen's and Reimu and Yukari's Story.
Synopsis of her role: The incident solving shrine maiden working right away to figure out how to solve the new incident in Gensokyo.
Vocal Range, Tone, and Other Notes: Any Range, Every character is important but Reimu is likely the most important of the heroines and appears a lot, not as much as the Yorigami sisters but a fair amount. She is usually somewhere between snarky and jaded, to a bit more laid back and motivated.
(Snarky and playful) You two are too egoistic to cooperate. That's where the problem is.
(Accusatory and rather annoyed) You do look like it! You look way too much like you would! It would make no sense if you were not involved!
(Motivated and Determined) If I get swallowed up by this, I'll lose for no reason! Pull yourself together! I'm the incident-resolving shrine maiden!
Voice Actor
Plays a major role in: Reimu and Kasen's Story.
Synopsis of her role: One of the Sages of Gensokyo helping Reimu on her initial investigation of the new incident.
Vocal Range, Tone, and Other Notes: Any Range, Kasen acting in the way of a wise hermit is fairly down to earth and acts fairly calm, even taking most of her time to explain or theorize rather than small talk.
(Explaining and to the point) To know our enemy who spread this rumor, first, we must know the inside out of this incident they caused. To be specific, we're going to use Perfect Possession on ourselves to fight.
(Pondering and Serious) Perfect Possession could take place by mutual consent, just like what we've been doing. But now we know that in some cases, Perfect Possession could occur while bypassing the master's consciousness
(Angry and Passionate) Ha! What kind of advice from a celestial leaves so little impression?! I'll return those words right back at you! When you throw away the light of Heaven, it becomes garbage!

Plays a major role in: Marisa and Koishi Story.
Synopsis of her role: The fun loving magician teaming up with Koishi to master Perfect Possession to become a master of it. However when the situation turns more serious she in turn helps to resolve the incident.
Vocal Range, Tone, and Other Notes: Mid Range, Marisa is generally carefree and fairly casual through out the whole game not taking much too seriously, so a more energetic tone is best for this role.
(Confident) A meaningless option as always. Who would turn back after getting this far.
(Despairing, Slightly Overdramatic) Ahhh! I was possessed by the Povery God. I'm finished! I'll be miserable forever!
(Determined) We're part the point of no return. So we're gonna crush your dreams here.

Synopsis of her role: Teams up with Marisa just to have fun
Vocal Range, Tone, and Other Notes: Mid to High Range. Koishi is basically an overexcited child. She is constantly peppy and upbeat ans very rarely does this chance. And the rare times ti does change it's more being confused and oblivious.
(Happy and Excited) I'm going to enjoy this without a care in the world!
(Obliviously Carefree) I know, I know! Because you have no firends, right? How sad.
(Matter of Fact and Excited) But we know who's gonna show up, right? The Prismrivers With H, right? We can't miss this! You're gonna regret it!

Synopsis of her role: One of the religious leaders working with her rival to investigate the Perfect Possession Incident to help resolve it.
Vocal Range, Tone, and Other Notes: Mid to Low Range. Hijiri as a head monk of a temple is very relaxed and mature, and is very kind and gentle as well, rarely ever raising her voice or getting angry.
(Sincere Apology) Sorry for startling you. An experiment on compulsory perfect possession can't be performed without a surprise.
(Confused) This conversation is impossible. I seem to be having a conversation with someone from a different world.
(Sounds Serious, but overdramatic) You've just been possessed by an evil spirit! You'll die unless you resist it!

Synopsis of her role: One of the religious leaders working with her rival to investigate the Perfect Possession Incident to help resolve it.
Vocal Range, Tone, and Other Notes: Mid to Low Range. Miko while female is generally an androgynous character, aside from that she is rather eccentric and can be seen as full of herself and in contrast to Hijiri being relaxed, Miko has very high energy.
(Pondering and Confrontational)You... If I recall correctly, you're the one they say rules Gensokyo from the shadows. What are you here for? Surely you're not here to see the concert.
(Dramatic but also Serious) That's far enough. The Perfect Possession incident led us to you!
(Judgmental and Annoyed) I see. I was afraid of that. Celestials were supposed to be far more powerful than that. You're pathetic. I don't even want to look at you.

Synopsis of her role: Servant of Hijiri, works together with Futo to investigate the incident
Vocal Range, Tone, and Other Notes: Mid to High Range. Ichirin is very similar to her partner in being serious about the goal but a tad dramatic, though unlike Futo she speaks plainly and is more level headed.
(Matter of Fact)This was Lady Hijiri's plan. We're researching perfect possession together.
(Pondering Heavily) Is that how it is? I thought everyone would prefer seizing power as the master.
(Starts Overly Excited but Calms down pretty quick) Yeah, I think we can win! Ah, I mean, against the plague and poverty god combo. Obviously.

Synopsis of her role: Servant of Miko, works together with Ichirin to investigate the incident
Vocal Range, Tone, and Other Notes: Mid to Low Range. Futo is very similar to her partner in being serious about the goal but a tad dramatic, though unlike Inchirin she speaks in old archaic English and is certainly more theatrical.
(Excited) Salutations! Let us have a perfect possession duel!
(Contemplating) We won! But thou usest none but mysterious attacks I've never seen before. Who art thou?
(Happy with Increasing Excitement as she speaks) Not bad at all. We have bested the hermit and shrine maiden combo. I feel as though we won't lose to anyone!

Synopsis of her role: Researching perfect possession to try and make it marketable
Vocal Range, Tone, and Other Notes: Mid Range. Nitori is somewhat arrogant and a bit cocky but is dedicated to her craft and serious about her research, even if its just for making profits.
(Excited Realization) Oho! It's all coming together! With this, there are no more obstacles to making artificial perfect possession a reality.
(Passionate) That's right. Technology should be able to explain it soon enough, and you two will be one of our samples!
(Nerdy Pondering straight into Cocky Arrogance) As I thought, when people perform perfect possession, they share a portion of their feelings. It seems that's due to sharing a portion of their spirit. This is all because of your ability to see emotions caught my eye. Ergo, I am amazing.

Plays a major role in: Nitori and Kokoro's Story
Synopsis of her role: Working together with Nitori for seemingly no reason
Vocal Range, Tone, and Other Notes: Mid to Low Range. Kokoro is very emotionally muted, not emotionless but her emotions are more subtle, and her tone can be monotone most of the time.
(Objective and Monotone) They're joined together by their strong desires. In this case, sharing feelings through perfect possession was a weakness.
(Objective and Monotone) Even though they lost the battle, it gave rise to feelings of solidarity.
(Panic) Oh no! I can't read this person's feelings! It's possible that the synchronized feelings don't exist.

Synopsis of her role: A fun loving Tanuki who worked wiht Moukou to become the strongest pair, seems mostly for the fun of it.
Vocal Range, Tone, and Other Notes: Mid to Low Range. Mamizou can be wise and serious at times but it mostly laid back and playful.
(Confrontation and Confident) Such a well-hidden plan, but your execution went too loud. We took the advantage from it, and we have reached our new pinnacle of strength. Now, show me what you got!
(Cocky and Accusing) By our prediction, the mastermind of the Perfect Possession Incident will show themselves here. And you're the best candidate.
(Getting Serious) I've heard of that. Here, listen, Mokou. We ain't practicing anymore. It's the time for our perfect possession strategies to get real. Stay focused!

Plays a major role in: Mamizou and Mokou Story
Synopsis of her role: An immortal taking advantage of the incident to feel some new experiences and thrills. She teams up with Mamizou to try and master Perfect Posession and become the strongest team.
Vocal Range, Tone, and Other Notes: Low Range. Mokou is likely one of the wisest, yet most reckless of all the characters. In this game she is generally laid back and excited for a fight but does have some moments where she seems to just act more serious or thinking out loud wich serves somewhat as a contrast..
(Hyped) I've been waiting for this! I'll throw this life away a million times!
(Serious) I've lived a long time, but something this fun is the first. Possessing people is pretty fun.
(Angry) Hey Master Tanuki, this one's on Gensokyo's black list. When she appears only bad things occur.

Synopsis of her role: An arrogant Celestial just causing trouble on earth with this incident.
Vocal Range and Notes: Any Range. Arrogant, self centered, and chaotic. She believes herself better than most and with full enthusiasm. A fun and rather simple role.
(Angry and Motivated) Stop muttering to yourself and fight me! I'm gonna be the ruler of Gensokyo!
(Questioning then quickly stops caring) Oh really? You can do stuff like that? Well, as long as you're powering me up I don't give a damn.
(Obliviously Arrogant) Well, it's true I was banished. But it was for such a ridiculous reason. As a natural-born celestial, destined for greatness from birth, why should I have to work?

Synopsis of her role: An inchiling princess, works with the crooked celestial Tenshi to obtain more power.
Vocal Range and Notes: Mid to High Range. She is mostly laid back and down to earth in comparison to her eccentric partner and can even had a sassy side when she's motivated.
(Confused but trying to explain) I've never seen this one before! Are you really the ruler of dreams?!
(Pumped and Excited) Tee hee, we did it! The hermit and the tanuki are the real deal, even for Gensokyo! At this point, it's no exaggeration to say we're the strongest!
(Unsure how to respond and Blunt) Um... well... At least I understand why they call you a delinquent celestial now.

Synopsis of her role: An occult loving high school girl from the outside world. In this game she finds herself a victim of the ongoing incident as it finds her in the dream world with no choice but to fight her way through until she can fins a way out.
Vocal Range and Notes: No specific range planned for this one, generally a younger sounding voice for a 16 year old nerdy girl. She can be more energetic and carefree in other routes but given her situation in her main route she's generally more serious.
(Confused then panicked) So I'm possessed? And you did it? No, no no no! Get out of me right now!
(Confused then Motivated) Why did it end up like this? Theres no way the real one will lose! Come at me!
(Confused and Mumbling) My usual dreams of going to Gensokyo turned into something strange. To fight with two of my selves... Or maybe it wasn't a dream? Maybe something is happening in Gensokyo. There is a chance Gesnokyo is a dream itself... What is a dream anyways?

Plays a major role in: Sumireko and Doremy's story, Reisen and Doremy's story.
Synopsis of her role: The ruler of the Dream world, with the current incident having side effects in the dream world Doremy plays an important part in it's investigation. Mostly helping those caught in the cross fire such as Dream Reisen and Normal Sumireko in the background.
Vocal Range, Tone, and Other Notes: Mid to Low Range, Doremy is a more mature and formal character in this game given the dire circumstances, but she is generally jovial and will sometimes make jokes or tease when the opportunity allows.
(Formal) I am Doremy Sweet. The ruler of the Dream World. Pleased to make your acquaintance.
(Angry) Because of the Gap Youkai, both the Dream World and Real World Sumireko are here. We were tricked. Left this way, the gap between Dreams and Reality will become ambiguous.
(Teasing) For the amount she's been oppressed so far, she's probably causing quite the scene. If you think about what you've done to your Dream World self so far, you should endure this much.

Synopsis of her role: As a result of the incident at play, Reisen's dream self has been released into the real world for the time being. With exaggerated emotions and no filter to her thoughts she simple wishes to vent her emotions and enjoy the freedom unaware what it is actually doing.
Vocal Range, Tone, and Other Notes: Mid Range. Reisen is normally a more timid and soft spoken girl, however Dream Reisen is rather the opposite. Loud, quick to anger, energetic, and fearless to the point of being completely reckless. While this Reisen is who will be making the most appearances Real Reisen does show up from time to time especially in her stories epilogue, so there will be times you need to bring down the energy a bit more from time to time.
(Angry/Annoyed) I don't care about that. I seem to be unconsciously annoyed with you. I need to fight you or this irritation won't disappear.
(Angry/ Overconfident) Everyone will be happy if you disappear from Gensokyo. I'm the hero of justice!
(Excited) Perfect timing. My last oppoent will be you - an immortal! Now, Let's fight.

Synopsis of her role: Investigates the incident and helps out in the final battle
Vocal Range, Tone, and Other Notes: Mid to Low Range. Yukari is very similar to Doremy, however she spends most of the game more laid back and teasing.
(Serious and Trolling) Forcibly possessing one's body is a deed of devils. Or I should say, the pinnacle of all evils. Do I really look like someone who would commit such an act?
(Confrontational and to the point) That's far enough. Poverty god Shion and plague god Joon, this mischief has gone on a little too long.
(Serious Confrontation into being Eccentric and Motivated) Ha... People born to be hated like you don't know even know what true happiness is. You've never known happiness, so your personalities have become twisted. But rejoice! I'll grant you the happiness they call a total loss. What joy! It's time to begin the special concert that will change your lives!

Synopsis of her role: A god of pestilence, one of the main antagonists of the story
Vocal Range, Tone, and Other Notes: Any Range. Joon is an incredibly selfish, greedy, and over all mean role. Without a doubt a bonafide villain so prepare to be mean for most of the adventure. Also they show up in the final stage of most stories so prepare for a lot of work. Generally of the two sisters Joon has more energy and takes command more often.
(Annoyed than Arrogant) Geez, what's your problem? Fine fine, we're the masterminds of the Perfect Possession Incident. I'm sure you've heard the rumors that it's completely impossible to beat us?
(Cocky and Matter of Fact ) If we run out then we just take more. That's what it means to have a fountain of wealth.
(Despairing and Belittling) Ah, we're done for! There's no way you can win on your own, sis! I mean, you're a god of poverty who's never experienced victory even once. In a one-on-one fight with the goddamned incident-resolving shrine maiden!? It's over! We lost!

Synopsis of her role: A god of poverty, one of the main antagonists of the story
Vocal Range, Tone, and Other Notes: Mid to Low Range. Shion is very low energy and despairing. A lot of her lines are melancholic and seem depressing in nature, even her more happy lines are done like that. There are moments she breaks out of that and gains a bit more energy but not much.
(Slightly annoyed and then back to sad) Hey, Joon, isn't it about time you gave me my cut? But you just spend it all right away! Either way it never gets to me!
(Shocked) What. What happened to you, Joon? I mean, I still want to dress up nice, even if I have to use other people's money...
(Serious and Angry) I've never been serious about this until now. If I let it all out, everyone will be unfortunate, including me! But I've had enough. Who cares about winning or losing? When I'm done here, we'll all be losers. The shrine maiden, me, and you too, Joon!

The Narrator, this is the person who will be announcing the story at the beginning of the part, the stage names before each name, as well as serve as the voice narrating the ending scene at each story.

What begins now is the bittersweet tale of those who mistook themselves for the strongest duo.
Video Editor
A dubbing editor, you will be given the footage and the audio to place on top of it. I will be proving the footage and will also be editing but any help makes the project faster and of likely improved quality (I'm not much of an editor I admit.) Also since I am playing the game for footage I can provide do things such as control the pace to help make the editing simpler.
