[Canceled] Tomo-chan Wa Onna ko! A Manga Fandub!

Project Overview

A fandub for the 4-koma manga, Tomo-chan Wa Onna ko! Just a fun project seeking interested voice actors! Planned to be edited and posted onto Youtube!

Series Synopsis

"Tomo Aizawa was able to successfully confess to her crush Junichirou Kubota. There is only one problem: He just sees her as his buddy. He even thought that she was a boy until they went to middle school together, because her grade school was in a different school district. So, Tomo-chan's struggle for Jun's affection begins." ( Source: MF )
Prerequisites:
 - A good microphone. ( Decent/Clear sound quality + Preferably no feedback/static/background noise. )
  • - Important note!: There will be some degree of shouting and yelling, so please mind audio peaks. If you're audio is peaking, try to toggle with your input gain/gain adjustment before recording!
 - Commitment! Be timely and responsive!
 - Open to constructive criticism/feedback on line deliverance from myself and your peers.
 - To have read some of the manga to understand the characters and get a grasp of how to deliver their lines.
 - An all around good attitude with a willingness to have fun! / Be nice to your peers!

 Extra:
 + Preferably having Skype or Discord so group communication is easier. It'll also provide a chance to connect with your fellow voice actors!

Episode Format
"Episodes" will most likely be formatted by 10-15 chapter intervals ( Since chapters are literally one page each.); Whatever the final case may be, roles will be added as needed as the series progresses! For starters, we'll be aiming for the first 20 at least.

  • (very) Late Notice of Cancellation.

    I'd like to first and foremost apologize for the ere-lack of word on this project in the past several months. Due to personal reasons, I was not able to tend to the fruition of this casting and have failed you all in any means to elaborate on such. That being said, I regret to inform you all that this project will no longer be continued. In that same light; I'd like to thank all the talented individuals who have auditioned and again, would like to formally apologize for letting you all down.   • Auditions coming to a close soon!

    Thanks to everyone on both BTVA and here on CCC for submitting your auditions so far! After the given deadline, I'll be taking a couple days afterward to decide on the casting; Within that time frame, I hope to be in contact with some of you as soon as i can!     This project is also on Behind the Voice Actor. If you have already auditioned here, don't worry about submitting another one! However, due to the former audition being set up earlier, If you ARE from BTVA, you are welcome to re-audition here on CCC! Just a casual heads up in the case someone claims a role between the two sites!

( From the fan wikia: ) She is very competitive when it comes to sports, sometimes scaring people by how strong she is. However when it comes to Jun she is very shy and often lashes out when he asks her something as simple as walking home together.

Voice Type; Medium, Medium-Low. 

Tomo's childhood friend and romantic interest. Outwardly aloof, strong, but a little dense when it comes to realizing his best friend's feelings. Surprisingly stubborn and aggressive with certain situations.


  • "Come on, Tomo. What are you saying? I love you too! Bro!!"    ( Completely unaware and sincere. (Chapter 1)

  • "What!? You told me to bring it!! So i'm bringing it!!"    ( Pissed off and aggressive. (Chapter 9)

  • "Come on Tomo~ Are you still mad about yesterday? I said I was sorry... Besides, i got beat up more than you. I mean, look at this. "   ( Regretful but still ignorant. (Chapter 11)

Name Pronunciation: Mi-Soo-Zoo Gun-Do

Voice type; Medium. Dry/Blunt/Sarcastic sounding in most cases. 

Tomo's other childhood friend, Misuzu; a cunning, blunt and straightforward girl that enjoys teasing her best friend throughout the series. Noticeably more condescending and cold towards Jun.


  • "As someone who's known you two since childhood, You had this coming."   ( Dry and straightforward. Kind of like an "I told you so."   (Chapter 6)

  • "If i don't approve of you as a girl... I won't be able to live with myself."   ( Ashamed and flat toned. (Chapter 7)

  • "Then remember this. I'M the only one allowed to play with them."    (  Cunning, blunt  (Chapter 30)

Jun's classmate and friend. Typical male highschool character with no outstanding traits. Your typical male anime extra; Becomes interested in Misuzu; but can be nosy when it comes to girls and the interesting affairs of others.

Voice Type: Low. Intense and in your face.

Tomo's father and owner of the Aizawa Dojo. Aggressive, loud and super insistent on having his daughter succeed him and his family's fighting style.

( Does not have very many lines throughout the series, but makes an appearance fairly early. )
