"The ZPD" is a fan animatic project featuring the characters from Disney's animated film, "Zootopia" as well as some original characters. "The ZPD" is about the inner-workings of Zootopia's Precinct 1 Police Department in a mockumentary style, similar to "The Office". This series balances the light-hearted comedy and serious character development reminiscent of the original film, told mostly through slice-of-life stories. This series is still in pre-production and we expect the series to span about 7 to 10 episodes with about 5-10 minutes per episode.

Luke Barkole (Bar-kOh-leh) is an African Wild Dog and the newbie on the force. He is bright-eyed and bushy tailed. Very upbeat to parallel how Judy Hopps was when she first started at the ZPD. He wants to please everyone and make others happy. We imagine a Haida (Ben Disken-esque) voice for Luke but we would love to see how you interpret the character.
**Scene is another officer tries to help a kid mouse out of a mouse-sized tree a bit too forcefully and fails, so Luke approaches the situation in a more compassionate way**
Lemme give it a shot! (kneels down to the level of the mouse in the bush) Hey there, little buddy. Gotcha self stuck up pretty high, huh? Pretty scary, I know… but you don’t have to be scared! Because your parents are here, and we’re here too! See these big paws? They’re an elevator made just for you! So hop on in and let’s go for a quick ride down, okay? That’s it, keep your paws and tail inside the vehicle at all times, (maybe Luke sings a little elevator song) and done! Good work, little buddy!
(surprised after someone guessed his high school superlative name) *gasp* How did you know?!?!
(introspective, slightly downtrodden) I want to believe I'm a 'good boy' and I can do the right thing, but how do change someone's mind when they're so certain... that you're not?
The chubby, doughnut-loving cheetah manning the front desk as well as acts as the Dispatcher. Clawhauser may have a line or 2 in every episode and 1 episode will feature him. We would like the cadence and "spirit" of Clawhauser from the original film, but we do not want your voice to sound forced or strained. (conversational, then very excited) Are you familiar with Gazelle? Greatest singer of our lifetime-- angel with horns-- okay, hold on, keep watching. Who’s that beside her? Who is it? It’s me! Did you think it was real? It looks so real!
(exhausted) I’m sorry, sir, I tried to stop her, she is super slippery. I gotta go sit down.
(melancholy) Um, they thought it would be better if a predator such as myself wasn’t the first face you that you see when you walk into the ZPD. They’re gonna move me to Records. It’s downstairs. By the boiler.
