The Zodiac Trial - Minor Roles
Project Overview
PLOT SYNPOSIS
Twelve people wake up in a shut off, secluded room with a giant round table in the middle. The 'EXIT’ door is locked off, whereas the door on the other side of the room leads around an abandoned theater, where no other exits can be found. Everyone present has an animal mask attached to a metal band around their neck they can’t remove. A video of a man tied to a chair with barbed wire around his neck is projected onto a screen. A voice that’s been altered digitally explains that the man on the screen is accused of committing a crime. Around the table there are 12 panels for voting. The group has a time limit to unanimously vote on whether the man is ‘guilty’ or ‘innocent’, with an incorrect verdict being fatal. To make things worse, one among them has secretly been designated the traitor, knows the correct verdict, and will only be allowed to live if the group votes incorrectly. The story is told from the perspective of a mysterious onlooker watching the group through the cameras. Connections between the jurors, the defendant, the victim, the traitor, and the Host begin to make themselves apparent as the trial carries on. Conflict amongst the animals increases and becomes violent, as secrets come to light. Debate, murder, and more.
WHAT IS IT?
'The Zodiac Trial' is planned to be a short online video series that tells a murder mystery with a dark twist. Much of the core VA work has already been completed, but there are some bit roles as well as some important characters who don't speak much who need to be cast. If you'd be willing to help out and pitch in a couple of lines, I'd be happy to have you!

The Host plays an important role. Your VA work will mostly have heavy audio editing on it, but it's still important to sound threatening and in control.
Welcome, jurors, to our first and only Zodiac Trial!
She has been deemed guilty and given the role of the Snake.
Roheline acts as the narrator, so even if she doesn't actually speak much, she has an important role. I'm looking for someone who's willing to sound a bit unhinged for this one.
I sat back in my beanbag chair and grabbed my bowl of popcorn. This was going to be good.
I was really hoping one of you would be worth my time. A shame.
This role is going to be a catch all for the very few characters that just have one throwaway line.
Ms. Akland, your meeting is scheduled for 3:00 P.M., is that acceptable?

It's not really fair. After all, I've been playing bridge for decades now.
