Welcome to the official casting call of the wilderness awaits!!
I recently started reading Warrior cats again and I’ve decided to make a small fan series consisting of 5-8 minute episodes, this series will be uploaded to YouTube.
Marigold has heard the tails of the mysterious wild cats that left the forest moons ago. Who hunted in what used to be a forest, and lived in four clans Thunderclan, Shadowclan, Windclan & Riverclan. Marigold is intrigued by this and sets herself a task... To find the clans. As she wanders through unknown twoleg places, mysterious forests and mountains that never seem to end, she meets a bunch of companions, enough to form a clan... but no Marigold wants to find the other clans first, to see what clan life is like...
Rules:
For Voice actors:
1: Make sure you have good enough audio quality, no fancy mics needed, but please record in a small room, no fans etc
2: as much as I love trolls, you will immediately get rejected if you do a troll audition
3: please put effort into the series!

The character- To describe Marigold in 3 words it would be, determined, adventurous, kind. Marigold is the main protagonist of ‘the wilderness awaits’, she’s living a life as a loner/rouge picking around the twoleg place to find food, soon after a new kittypet arrives close to we’re Marigold settles and he tells her the story’s of the great forest cats that once lived nearby. After hearing about their disappearance, Marigold is convinced she can find the clans, and sets off on her journey. The voice- I’ll need a strong, confident and lively voice with lots of emotion for Marigold. I would prefer a medium-high voice for her.
[interested] Wow, they used to live here- but- *speed up* where are they now do you know?
(Mutter to self, slighty confused)Ok Marigold this is going to be as simple as catching a rat, just crouch and *shout leap* leap!
The character- To describe Arrietty in three words they would be cool, stern, and smart. Marigold first meets Arrietty while wandering the twoleg place casually, of course Arrietty being Arrietty she wasn’t so nice about it and gave Marigold a few scars she won’t forget. Arrietty encounters Marigold the second time as Marigold is searching outside the twolegplace. Arrietty lies about knowing we’re the clans are, and pretends to guide her toward the direction they are, when actually she leads Marigold into a bunch of ‘ vicious‘ rouges. She escapes and Arrietty gets pulled into the adventure, admitting she lied.
The voice- Arrietty has a very cool and stern voice. I would like a nice moderate voice for her, not too high and not too low.
[Shout, menacing] And don’t come near me again got that?! Or do you not?!
[mutter, annoyed] So she’s back to torment me again huh? Have you ever heard the term [aggressive] leave me alone?
The character- Milo was a rogue living in the twoleg, alongside Oliver which I’ll get to soon. He hangs around the area either terrorising other cats, or hunting for food. He seems keen to search for the other clans as he won’t have to stay in the same boring place all the time while looking after the short-tempered Oliver; he sees it as a whole new adventure. Milo is also quite skilled in combat/fighting though his strategy isn’t very good.
The voice- He’s an older cat so I need a more mature voice. Deep with a slight country style accent is preferred when auditioning.
[cautious] So, if your really sure this is all true, hmmm [sudden burst of excitement] Sure!
[cheerful] C’mon Oliver this is your chance maybe you can find her, [bit gloomy] that is if she isn’t dead
The character- Oliver is a short tempered, angry, and stern rogue. Before his mate died he was a little less angry/annoyed with everything. One night his mate ran away for unknown reasons. They thought she had been killed, tortured, and taken by some other rogues that had lived there. Hopefully we will never learn what he would be like if he knew she ran away by her own choice. Milo was an old friend of Olivers and decided to help him out in his everyday life as the good cat he is.
The voice- I would like a very deep, and muttery voice for Oliver. Make sure you can raise your voice and make it sound convincing before auditioning since this cat shouts and gets annoyed at the most little things.
[mutter tired]Milo...these are just kids *yawn* trying to trick you, don’t you get it
[Shout, annoyed, sad] Don’t mention her, she’s dead, she wouldn’t run away from us, she loved me!
The character- Honey is a lively cat who lives in the remains of the old forest. She likes to help other cats in need of help, she seems to have a knowledge of herbs which leads to Marigold thinking she may be a relative of a medicine cat from one of the clans. Honey accepts joining the cats on their adventure simply because she thinks it’s exciting and it will improve her knowledge of all the different herbs and remedies.
The voice- Honey as said is a happy, cheerful and lively character. I would like a nice soft but high voice for her.
[serious, calm]It’s ok she’s alive, I’ll just need to stop the bleeding... hm... yes cobwebs!
[cheerful]So what are you expecting to do... y’know when you meet the clan cats?
The character- Copper is a loner who hunts in the remains of the woods, when he was younger he got the scar on his eyes by apparently getting ‘attacked by a wild cat’. Copper is very self-confident and snobby, although he’s very smart on the way he hunts and fights. When they first encounter Copper he’s aggressive, but he warms up to them. (Comes in ep 2)
The voice- I would like a medium/moderate voice for Copper, please be very confident, since he is a very confident character.
[stuck up, proud]Well... it’s not like you just caught a rabbit just now
Hey you! How dare you! Do you know how hard that was to catch!?[teasing, try to scold]
The character- Cory is inspired by my own cat! She’s very soft and gentle, and loves kits, but at some times she can be restless and bouncing around to do something exciting. They find her trapped in a twoleg place and help free her, she wants to leave her twoleg place because it isn’t exciting, she isn’t happy, she wants to explore.
(Comes in ep 2)
The voice- She has a soft, calm, and gentle voice, medium-high. And slightly quiet.
oh my your kittens are beautiful, I see they’ve got there mother’s eyes! (Fondly)
Shut up Copper! You did nothing, it was me who even spotted it in the first place, you have to credit me for that! (Annoyed)
The character- Rover is a loner wandering aimlessly around the twoleg place, just living the life y’know. If you could call a cat shy Rover would be shy, he gets very nervous around new people. They meet Rover while saving Cora, he just so happened to be around while they tried to save her. He was the reason they did save her. He politely accepted the offer to go on the journey with them. (Comes in ep 2)
The voice- Rover has a gentle, soft and calm voice. I want it to be medium-high
BUT not too high. Don’t over do it!
[Awkward] Uhm... I haven’t really talked to any other cats, hehe~-_...(cheesy laugh)
[nervous till the comma] So like this, wait I have it wrong don’t I ugh- this is so frustrating![frustrated]
The character- Juniper is a young queen, currently nursing her first two kits. She’s gentle and has a mother’s love. She’s heard news of the travelling cats and demand to go with them, she wants her kits safe from the rogues, twolegs etc. (kind of Petalnose of Skyclan) Juniper is determined to keep going even with how tired she is caring for Ivory and Bryer.
The voice- Yes yes, another soft, gentle voice, she needs a motherly voice, calm.
Medium-high
[annoyed, tired] Bryer get here now, I don’t want you falling into the stream-
Thank you your very kind, but seriously their little devils...well that one is [sigh]
The character- Bryer is one of Juniper's kits, he’s the definition of excitement. He is very confident and loves to play… and yes embarrass and annoy Ivory. As a kit would do he ‘followed’ his mum on the journey even if he was annoying and reluctant at times he did it!
The voice- a young squeaky, playful confident voice is preferred when auditioning for this character. High
[annoyed] Mother, I’m no where near the stream stop worrying!
Come on Ivory come and play your always so boring, have you even had fun before[cheerful, excited]
The character- Ivory is the complete opposite of her brother, very shy. She goes to her mother, juniper for comfort and confides in her for help. She’s almost scared of her brother and how loud he is. Although, she is very smart, way smarter than her brother. As Bryer did, she followed and listened to her mother on the journey.
The voice- I would still like a high voice but not so squeaky, and softer.
[annoyed] Shut up Bryer, I’m trying to sleep!!
[Grateful, happy] Thank you! hmm ummm uhha your fur is a really pretty colour as well!
The character- Mei is Oliver’s old mate, she simply ran away because she wanted life in the forest which Oliver wouldn’t of excepted. She also wanted to be free, to live for herself. It just so happens the group found her in the forest while she was passing through. To describe her in one word it would be sass he- yep. (Comes In ep 2)
The voice- I would like a slightly raspy, energetic voice and yes sassy. Low-medium
[annoyed, snap] The reason I left was because of you! I felt trapped, I wasn’t allowed to do stuff for myself!
[cheerful] Well, hun your gonna need to try more then just doing that...
The character- Willow is a young... I wouldn’t say kit, apprentice age I guess. She doesn’t talk much at all and she is blind. The group found her lying almost dead in the middle of the forest. But thanks to Honey they were able to save her, they took her in since she wouldn’t be able to look after herself. She has a cold, soulless expression. (Comes in ep 3?)
The voice- a cold, very very soft, I would use circus baby from fnaf for example, medium tone
[frightened, shakily] where am I, why is everything black?!
[cold] so... I’m never going to be able to see anything ever again, what will happen to me then...
The character- Ash is the old kittypet that told the tales of the clan to Marigold, he isn’t in the story very much beside the first episode. He’s your average cranky old ‘man’
The voice- as said cranky old cat, older voice, deep
*mutter, bland* of course it’s true, I don’t lie-
*frustrated* Your going to kill yourself out there all alone, are you out of your mind?!
You will animate the characters, be a little experienced, you must be committed, I will give you a scene and positions to animate to give you guidance.
