The wife of Rick and mother of Carl and Judith Grimes, and part of the camp located outside of Atlanta. At the start of the outbreak, Lori and Carl traveled to Atlanta with Shane Walsh hoping for a safe haven, only to find it in turmoil.
Look at it... the whole city is overrun. We can't even get in without being attacked. My parents are dead... everyone that came to the city for protection is dead. They'd have to be. Nobody could survive that. And Rick... three weeks he's been in that coma. He doesn't even know this has happened...and we left him, to come here--for this.
He and his son Duane are the first people met by Rick post-outbreak, while also being responsible for filling him in the details how to survive in the new world.
You're a good boy. Don't let anyone take that away from you -- Don't ever let yourself think differently. You care about people. That's easy to lose... caring about people. We get so focused on what we need... we stop caring about other people. Maybe it's what we have to do to get by... but it takes away a piece of your soul... every time. I-- I know-- the things I've done... You're eight years old. You're quickly hitting the age where you start to become the person you're going to be. These are important times, son. You just don't know how much it hurts me to think about the things this world is going to deny you. Are you listening to me? (...) Your innocence... That's lost. Gone, just-- School... What you learn from it... What you really learn from it. Not the nonsense in the book... How the world works. How people interact... Life stuff. You need that stuff. It's important. I don't know how you'll be here on your own without me. No one to talk to... And after I'm gone... You're going to have to be strong, Duane.
the older sister of Amy and a tough and very skilled woman, being very talented with firearms, and becoming one of the group's key defenders because of that.
People still need you. You have to keep doing what you're doing. You have to stay strong! Otherwise...otherwise this was all for nothing... If this all falls apart...and it will without you...why did you fight so hard? You've built something...important. You have to keep fighting for it no matter what. These people are counting on you -- you've been a shining beacon...in a world of darkness. You've made an oasis in a world of shit. You've made it possible for people to work together...to be a community...to be stronger... That makes you stronger. You'll keep going. You have to. That's what these people need. That's what this world needs. And that's...that's just what you do.
a main character first encountered in Issue 2 of Image Comics' The Walking Dead, as well as the deuteragonist of the final issue. She is the daughter of Carol and the only surviving member of her family. After her mother's death, Sophia was adopted by Glenn and Maggie.
You think my daddy will come back, too?
I'm glad you're okay.
the deuteragonist and a survivor of the outbreak in Image Comics' The Walking Dead. He is also the protagonist of the final issue. He is the son of Rick and Lori and the half-brother of Judith Grimes. He joined Shane Walsh with Lori to travel to Atlanta, for the refugee camp.
My daddy was just sick. We had to leave him in the hospital so he could get better.
It's not the same as killing the dead ones, daddy.
a main character and a survivor of the outbreak in Image Comics' The Walking Dead. He is the oldest survivor of the Atlanta group and former husband of his late wife, Erma. Dale later formed a relationship with Andrea, who both adopted Ben and Billy after their father's death.
"For what?," He says! Being the "leader" of our little group... Even when we didn't want you to be... It was never about bossing people around. It was never about control. The decisions you had to make, the consequences of those decisions--none of us were prepared to carry that burden. Nobody wanted the responsibility. You didn't want it--but you took it just the same. I have to admit, I thought you were dangerous... I blamed you for a lot of what happened. But sitting here at the end, thinking back... It's easy to blame you for what happened at times--and that's your burden for taking control--for taking care of strangers--trying to protect us. It's not as easy to give you credit for things that didn't happen. A lot of people are dead... But look at how long this group has lasted. I think that's your fault, too. You helped me last this long, gave me the time I had with the boys, with Andrea... And I appreciate that very very much.. So thank you.
a survivor of the outbreak and later an antagonist in Image Comics' The Walking Dead. He grew intimate feelings for Lori and led her and her son to safety during the initial outbreak. Shane was the leader of the Atlanta Survivor Camp before sharing the role with his sheriff's deputy partner, Rick. He served as the primary antagonist of Volume 1: Days Gone Bye.
You really did it for me, buddy! You really did it! Oh, yes you did! I'm nothing now, Rick! NOTHING! I've got nothing, Rick!! No friends! No family!! No respect!! No fucking life!! This fucking world! This fucking God-forsaken world of shit! There's nothing for me here Rick!! Nothing! I thought I could make it... I thought I could hold out... wait until they came and rescued us. They would have brought us nice beds... and hot showers... and fresh clothes! They were coming Rick! WE WERE GOING TO BE OKAY!!
a survivor of the outbreak in Image Comics' The Walking Dead. He is a member of the Atlanta Survivor Camp, as well as the husband of Donna and father of Billy and Ben.
Y'know--Donna was eight years older than me. She was always wiser--more level-headed... she always knew what to do, or was able to convince me that she did. I don't know how I'm going to see those boys to adulthood without her. I really don't know what I'm going to do. But I'm going to try. I'm going to do my best. For her.
a survivor of the outbreak in Image Comics' The Walking Dead. He is a member of the Atlanta Survivor Camp, and one of the few people to have made it out of Atlanta alive.
L--Leave me. When I come back...maybe I'll find--find my family...maybe they c--came back, too. Maybe we can be together again.
a survivor of the outbreak in Image Comics' The Walking Dead. She is the mother of Sophia Grimes and a member of the Atlanta survivors group. She befriends Lori and stays by her side most of the time. Soon after meeting him, Carol enters into a relationship with Tyreese, before breaking up with him due to Tyreese cheating on her with Michonne. At this point, her mental health begins to deteriorate, which eventually results in her suicide.
You're probably not going to like it here, y'know. They're nice enough people, at first they're great... but they're so goddamn judgmental. One slip-up... and that's it for you really. I tried to kill myself. I did. It didn't work, obviously, but I tried. They won't let me forget it. Since then, I can see it in their eyes--they've lost all respect for me. All of them. Even my best friend. She tries to be nice but I can tell she's just patronizing me. She hasn't wanted to talk to me since I did it. She just feels like she has to. Everyone thinks I'm crazy.
Amy is a survivor of the outbreak in Image Comics' The Walking Dead. She is the sister of Andrea and a member of the Atlanta Camp.
Andrea was driving me back to college. Classes were starting in a few days. I was a physical education major... a junior. As far away as a lived I should have flown back but we always enjoyed our little bonding trips.
Donna is a survivor of the outbreak in Image Comics' The Walking Dead. She is the wife of Allen and mother of Billy and Ben.
I was just thinking about Andrea and Dale... they both lost someone they loved... someone very close to them. It hit them hard, we saw that... but they eventually pulled out of it. Seeing them together last night--they're happy. Seeing them--knowing that they can pull their lives back together... it gives me hope. And then there's this place... a chance to start over. A new place... all to ourselves, and if half of the houses in this neighborhood are as nice as this one we'll all be happy. This place--it's perfect. I think we can be happy here.
He is the son of Morgan Jones. Duane and his father hid in various houses in Rick Grimes' neighborhood, attempting to ride out the apocalypse.
Oh man! Gameboy!! You got me games and batteries too. I can actually play with this!
