The Two Alchemist Apprentices - A Fantasy Audio Drama Shorts
Project Overview
Hi I'm Meng, a voice actor just like you! I've had this creative itch to make short fantasy audio stories and plan to hopefully post many on Youtube. This project is still a concept as I am learning the ropes/steps on how to efficiently post on Youtube and is working with a video editor to finally make this happen. All I need is my story to come to life with your voice! Here is the script for the audio story.

In return, you will be given the audio file to use as a sample for your profile, credited, and a written recommendation (your website/CCC). I use to make voice over demos and have experience in audio engineering. So if you have been wanting a sample to showcase your voice, this project is just for you! You can also listen to my own demo I produced on my profile to get an idea of what I can do.
Instructions:
Please provide no more than 2 takes each line for Myra abcabc format. I'm not strict on adlib/improv.
USB, Condenser, or XLR Mic preferred with little echo and background noise (do not clean or edit your files! Make sure your gain is just right as I will do all the editing and cleaning on my end!).
If chosen, I will send via email my recordings of my lines to you and you will record lines on your own time using the edited audio with music and sfx as reference.
Have fun! Myra is suppose to be a fun character! Once I figure out the rhythm on posting on Youtube and such, there will be many projects in the very near future. So follow for more!
Story Setting:
Alchemy is the rave in this early-like Victorian age of magic. Ling is a 16 year old male alchemist apprentice from a middle class family who lacks ambition in life and only wants to be an Alchemist to make money. Myra, also 16, is the exact opposite coming from poverty (slavery). She wants to help and create better lives for people through alchemy. Myra is very upbeat and happy go lucky. She is very energetic and almost childlike.

Myra is a 16 year old alchemist apprentice who was adopted from slavery. She has been given a 2nd chance in life and chooses to do as much good as an alchemist helping people with her powers. She is very bubbly, a matter-of-fact, teaser, and outspoken individual, but can be thoughtful when need to be. Any voice type and accents! Ling (also 16) is an apprentice with Myra and are looking for grocery items to buy sent by their master.

(Ling is telling Myra the importance of completing their master's shopping list and Myra interrupts) Blah blah blah, who cares Ling, let’s look at all the districts first! We can worry about master’s shopping list after lunch.
(After being silly with Ling, she suddenly becomes thoughtful) One day, I’m going to run my own alchemist shop and help as many people as I can. It’s the least I can do right? This being like…my 2nd chance in life and all.
(Myra lightens the mood after an awkward silence with Ling and teases playfully) Fine! Keep it a secret. We all know it’s so you can impress the ladies!
