The Tale of Subcon Forest
Project Overview
Hiya, I'm Raven! "The Tale of Subcon Forest" is a fan comic for A Hat In Time, and I am currently looking for voice actors to dub it!
Rules:
1. Must be able to have a decent mic with minimal echo as possible. It doesn't have to be a professional mic, just enough to where the recording sounds okay.
2. Please be patient! If you get casted, all I ask is that you please be patient with me as I work on my end of the project, and I will be patient with you.
NOTE: Though this comic will bring up topics of depression and s*lf h*rm, I intend to treat it as respectfully as possible in order to deliver a positive message to others.
Plot summary:
Finding out the truth about what happened to Subcon, Hat Kid decides to pay Vanessa a visit. When she encounters the queen, she finds out that Vanessa has suffered bad depression throughout her life. Tired of living a life of hatred and hostility, she tries to redeem herself with a little help from Hat Kid. When Vanessa goes to reconcile with Snatcher, she finds out that he is in love with someone else. Elsewhere, Hat Kid encounters a mysterious villain who wants to wreak havoc on the forest, and it's up to her to warn her new friends before he takes his revenge on Subcon.

"You're not helping anything, Marlin... You know that, right?"
"Nothing can change my mind now, Vanessa... For too long have we suffered your presence, and I will put an end to it..."
"Kid, did you think it was smart to let your 'friend' out of the manor? Because it's not."
Note: Along with the lines, send a 30 second audition of you singing "If I Never Knew You" from Pocahontas as Snatcher.
The main antagonist of the story and Snatcher's girlfriend. Two-faced, plays the victim to get what she wants.

"You killed a whole kingdom... This forest is nothing but decay... All that could've been ruled is dead, thanks to you, ice princess! Got anything to say for yourself, idiot?"
"Pfft, you're not gonna talk to me? (Mutters:) Are you really that stupid?..."
(Accusingly) "Why? Because I'M with Snatcher instead of you?!"
(She squints her eyes at Vanessa, as if she didn't recognize her) "Huh? Wait.... Hold on... (feigning innocence) Vanessa?! Oh! I'm so sorry!! I didn't know that was you! I thought you were someone else... Oh my goooooosh, I can't believe I did that.... I should go now. Again, so sorry, lateeeer!~ Oh, hope that scratch feels better soon!" (Giggles scornfully)
Snatcher's minion and a child at heart. Very helpful, loyal, and Dwellah's best friend.

"So boss, does this mean you and Queen Vanessa are back together again?"
(somberly) "Oh... Is that why?... She DID say she was sorry..."
(Waves excitedly) "HI, I MISSED YOU!"
(During a snowball fight) "At least I didn't get hit!! (A snowball hits him) Uh-oh...."
Marlin's partner in crime, the cool cat of the duo. A chill, go-with-the-flow dweller. Has a cool, deep-ish, and groovy type of voice.
"Yo."
"Ey, y'all, sorry for scaring you guys, the name's Dwellah."
"Naw, it's Dwellah. Dweller, but cooler."
"No need to introduce yo-selves, I heard all about y'all."
"Yo, can I come with y'all? Marlin's like, my best bud."
(During a snowball fight) EY, EY, EY! SIMMER DOWN, Y'ALL! I'm just a delicate, peace-lovin' dweller! (He gets hit with snowballs on his shades) Welp, so much fo dat."
"Yo, sorry 'bout Alisa, she's just like that."
(Suddenly getting nervous and antsy) "Uh... Well... I gotta be somewhere, dawg, see ya later!"
Sweet, a dorky video game nerd, and Hat Kid's adoptive father (in the head-canon.)

(To Hat Kid, in a sly voice) "Are you planning something?"
"I'm your dad, I always know when you are. And I also know that you would HATE going to bed this early."
(Suspiciously) "Okaaaay, if you say so..."
"I really hope I made the right decision letting Hattie befriend Vanessa... I hope she's safe..."
"Hattie! THERE you re, I was getting worried!"
Has a smashing English accent, likes to wear a lot of beanies and comfy clothes, very polite and affectionate.

"Oh, and Hat Kid, thank you so much for this tour of all the places you've been on your adventure!"
(Anxious) "She could be in the forest all by herself!"
(Waving to Vanessa) "Oh, hello your highness. We were going on a walk. Would you like to come join us?"
Witty, the jokester of the group, not afraid to stand up for himself and his friends.
