Pronouns: She/Her and They/Them
Nysora is the main character of this project, so expect more work for this role.
Nysora is more of a socially awkward individual. She has her best friend Artemus, but he's the only one who's really seen all sides of her. She's adopted, not knowing who her birth parents are aside from them having died in an accident while traveling.
Are you sure you want to go on this journey with me? This isn't going to be something easy Ar, I don't know what it entails, but it won't be good.
I'd be careful if I were you two. That's poisonous. Jeez, it's a wonder you managed to become knights at this rate.
Why me? Why was I chosen for this? I don't want to be anyone special. I don't know how I'll ever be able to do what you expect from me.
Pronouns: He/Him
Artemus is a main character in this project.
Artemus, or Ar for short, is Nysora's best friend from their village. He chooses to accompany her on her journey. He's a lot more social and outgoing than they are, but he'd rather hang out with her than anyone else.
Would you sit still so I can finish your braid? You keep talking and moving, and at this rate most of your hair will be outside of the braid.
Ny, you're my best friend. You really think that I'd leave you to do this alone? I'm not stupid enough to let you do that. You may get yourself killed if I did.
Is that really what you think of me? I'm sorry I'm just boy from a village and not some knight like you! You can act like you know what you're doing instead of almost getting us all killed with your arrogance!
Pronouns: She/Her
She is a main character in this project.
Seralise, or Sera by those closest to her, is one of the knights sent on the journey with Nysora. In front of authority, she's usually pretty professional, but when she's with her friends, she's much more casual. She looks up to Tes, the current Guardian and woman who helped train her. Her best friend is her fellow knight, Marstaurus.
Oh, is that so? Mars, you can be a pain in the ass, y'know? It's crazy that Tes assigned us to this, knowing damn well how things would play out. Rather you than anyone else I suppose. I can **tolerate** you at least, hah.
Listen, I didn't really want to go on this journey either, but you're stuck with me, so deal with it. If you don't like how I work, then suck it up. I was best of my class for a reason and you forget I'm here for the kingdom, not you.
There you are! Shit! Oh my stars, are you okay? I was so worried, I told them I didn't want you going in like that but they didn't listen and I couldn't stop them. Please tell me you're okay-
Pronouns: He/Him
He's a main character in this project.
Marstaurus, or Mars, is one of the knights sent on the journey. Out of the main crew, he's probably the boldest of the bunch. Very outgoing and very charismatic when he wants to be.
I don't know Sera, I think you're getting slower. I totally finished with my stretches first! Could it be someone's a little **distracted** right now? You keep getting lost in thought...and I think I'm starting to see why.
How dare you? How dare you question me right now? I just saved your life and this is how you want to do this? Next time, see if I care.
It's all kind of crazy, isn't it? I don't know...this is life or death, right? I just worry what happens if we fail.
Pronouns: She/Her
She is a main character in this project.
Lyvera is the Priestess assigned to the journey. She's admittedly a bit strict and stuck-up, but it's partially because she's the Guiding Priestess for Nephielle, and she wants to set a good example. Under the formalities, she's much softer and nicer.
I don't speak for the deities, but I'm certain they wouldn't agree with this plan. It's rushed and certainly going to get someone maimed, if not killed. **You** don't know how to control all your abilities. **You** don't know how to sneak around quietly. And **you**...actually, I don't have many complaints for you this time.
Watch closely Nephielle. This kind of control is rare for someone not in our position, but as you'll see **is** possible. Though do be prepared to take cover. Who knows how this may go.
This...*us*...is wrong. It is so very wrong...but I can't help but want it. I look at you and feel like I am as light as air. My stomach is in knots and I don't know what to do anymore....
Pronouns: She/Her
Nephielle is a main character in this project.
A Priestess in Training, Nephielle is shadowing Lyvera, so she accompanies her on this journey. She's still learning, so she's a much more inquisitive figure. She's soft-spoken and very connected to nature.
I'm very grateful to be accompanying Lyvera on this journey! It's not common for those in training to be approved for a task like this, but it will be great experience.
Please hold still. I don't want to tighten the bandages too much. Then we'd probably be in a worse situation than when we started. I can't believe you got yourself hurt.
Part of me wonders if I can handle this...it's a lot of commitment and I don't know if I'm prepared do what I need to.
Pronouns: They/Them
Solyre is a main character in this project.
Even more distant than Nysora, Solyre is only accompanying them for personal reasons they won't disclose. They're the quickest to anger, but the most knowledgeable on navigating their journey.
If I wanted to watch two idiots fight, I'd have stayed back at the tavern and tricked the drunken fools there into going at one another. Calm down before one of you does something you'll regret.
I don't need to tell you anything and I really don't think you have a right to complain after all. I'm offering my help because I want to. So what if I have my own plans, they don't interfere with yours, so just leave it be.
Sorry for being an ass. Genuinely. I guess I'm forgetting we all have something to lose here, it's not just me.
Aevus is the Deity of Time.
All deities are genderless beings and ultimately use They/Them pronouns, but some do favor more masculine or more feminine traits.
You know better than to get so involved in the life of a human. We all know this. But, it is in our nature that we care for them. That does not mean we get to make a fool of ourselves to protect them.
And what would you have me do? We may call ourselves equals, but we all know I am the one with the most power. Do not try and push the boundaries of what I have given you.
They are your most intriguing creations, I must admit. Watching them live their lives so freely, unaware of what awaits just outside of the comforts of their village.
Spiris is the Deity of Life.
All deities are genderless beings and ultimately use They/Them pronouns, but some do favor more masculine or more feminine traits. Spiris is a more feminine deity.
And what would you have me do? Create something new for you to toy with? Please, I am long past those days of humoring you Oblis.
A mistake? No.......Well...perhaps, but not one made with regret. I am so very proud of you for bearing this weight that the universe has bestowed upon you.
We must do something! There is a balance to uphold, and if this human disturbs it, then who knows how things shall end.
Oblis is the Deity of Death.
All deities are genderless beings and ultimately use They/Them pronouns, but some do favor more masculine or more feminine traits.
Spiris is foolish for growing so invested in their lives. Sure, humans are the best thing they've made, but they only wow and amaze so much before I grow tired of them.
And I care why? So what if things go wrong and they're doomed to perish. That **is** my domain after all...but we can just start anew. Create another being that praises our gifts.
My existence is only thanks to you. Balance has always been your motto. Life and death. Light and shade. It's a wonder how you survived without your own counterpart before creating us.
Illume is the Deity of Light.
All deities are genderless beings and ultimately use They/Them pronouns, but some do favor more masculine or more feminine traits.
Your humans can be so destructive at times. I really do wonder why you give them such deadly abilities. They themselves are fragile beings.
Whatever it is...it terrifies even me. It's unnatural.
And what are you accusing Veilios of doing? They have no hand in this. I don't see you throwing accusations at Oblis or Spiris!
Veilios is the Deity of Shadow.
All deities are genderless beings and ultimately use They/Them pronouns, but some do favor more masculine or more feminine traits.
What more could you want? We're lucky to be recognized as we are. I don't think it's in our place to complain over what they gift us.
I'm not above playing along with these games. If they want to cause problems, then we remind them of the hierarchy here.
Whatever could you be talking about, Illume? Don't tell me you're still holding onto this?
Lavis is the Deity of Fire.
All deities are genderless beings and ultimately use They/Them pronouns, but some do favor more masculine or more feminine traits. Lavis is a more masculine deity.
Just remember that my power is the one the current King wields. My influence is much stronger than yours is, so I suggest you keep in line.
I'm not the one making a fool of myself over a human. I have some self respect in that regard.
His strength far surpasses his father's, but his will...perhaps its best that he's fallen off the path. It's no good when they burn themselves out so quickly.
Precipe is the Deity of Water.
All deities are genderless beings and ultimately use They/Them pronouns, but some do favor more masculine or more feminine traits.
Balance this, balance that. I'm not a fool. I understand that my actions have consequences. I know Oblis must call a life to end, but with how they treat my waters, it would be easier to drown them all and start a new.
This human is starting to become my favorite...perhaps I can see why they humor you so.
Perhaps **you** are the enemy? We still don't know which of us has spurred this human's wrath, yet you speak as if you are aware of the culprit.
Umber is the Deity of Earth.
All deities are genderless beings and ultimately use They/Them pronouns, but some do favor more masculine or more feminine traits.
Rushing into things has never solved anything Ohme. You're too quick to action. One of these days it will be your undoing.
I've given you my answer, don't try and change my mind on this.
It was a simple choice to make, and this is what they've chosen. They're as firm in this decision as I am, even if it leads to the worse outcome of the two.
Sono is the Deity of Air.
All deities are genderless beings and ultimately use They/Them pronouns, but some do favor more masculine or more feminine traits.
Isn't it foolish to make them reliant on the rest of us? My air for their lungs, Lavis' heat for survival, Precipe's water for life...is this your way of admitting you care for us Spiris?
Odd, aren't they? I love to tease them, personally. It's fun watching them hurrying to catch loose papers or stolen linens.
I suggest you hold your tongue if you wish to keep speaking like that. If you don't wish to play nice, then just say so.
Flurris is the Deity of Ice and Snow.
All deities are genderless beings and ultimately use They/Them pronouns, but some do favor more masculine or more feminine traits. Flurris is a more feminine deity.
You're being rather silent, Ohme, that's unlike you. Wouldn't we all agree?
I don't see why you're acting so full of yourself, Lavis. The King may be in your hands, but we all know his heart is ruled by his bride, whom is my disciple.
I almost feel sorry for them. It's a shame so few can withstand the chill of my abilities. But only the most worthy choose me.
Ohme is the Deity of Lightning.
All deities are genderless beings and ultimately use They/Them pronouns, but some do favor more masculine or more feminine traits.
That was just a warning strike. The next time they get close to my temple, I won't miss.
You need to be quicker on your feet if this is how things are going to play out.
Oh come on now. Admit it. They're entertaining!
Pronouns: She/Her
Gwynethe is the leader of a small crew. She can be strict and short-tempered at times, but she usually composes herself quickly to get back on task.
What is there to talk about? You already know how I feel about this. This is the only way for them to realize their mistakes Caenum. Don't tell me you want to back down now when we're so close!
Would somebody shut her up already? I don't want to hear her whining this entire time, and I doubt she wants me to be the one to keep her quiet..
What would you know about how I'm feeling? You're just a little nobody from nowhere. You aren't worthy of your title or the power they've given you. I don't know what they could see in someone like you.
Pronouns: He/Him and They/Them
Caenum is Gwenethe's right hand. He's much calmer and more collected than she is, often acting as her conscience, but he does have his moments as well.
Gwyn, calm down. We don't need you losing it on her when we've barely started. Remember, we still need her and if you do something you'll regret, we're starting from square one.
I'm sorry about her. Truly. She's not usually this high strung, she's just stressed about everything. But you're the key to this...at least that's what she thinks. For your sake, I hope you are.
You think this is what I wanted? Trust me, I'm not even sure what I want anymore, but it's far from anything you could understand.
Pronouns: She/Her
Desaphine is a very nervous and hesitant individual. She was taken by Gwenethe and her crew for something, but she's unsure what the final plans are.
Let me go! Let me go!! Please! You can't just kidnap people! Let me go!
I was considering training to become a Priestess, believe it or not. My family is hesitant, especially because my sister left a couple of years ago. But I know I need to control my abilities somehow and it seemed like the best choice.
You...what? No....no no no, absolutely not. I'm not- I can't do this. This isn't right. I won't-
Pronouns: She/Her and They/Them
Myalis is one of Gwenethe's crew members. Not much is built up regarding Myalis right now, and more characterization will happen based on audition submissions.
What are you doing? Don't touch her like that- just, here, I'll take her.
I'm not an asshole, yeah it's a shitty situation maybe, but I can at least treat you with some respect.
I've managed just fine on my own. I don't need anyone's help surviving.
Pronouns: They/Them
Voxus is one of Gwenethe's crew members. Not much is built up regarding them other than the fact that they're much sneakier and more conniving than the others. They have connections that most people don't.
I have my ways, you know this. Are you doubting me when we've only just begun? Not a very good way to start a partnership.
I still think we should hold a ransom. She's from a noble enough house that we could get a pretty penny. We'd have some kind of cushion then until we find our next pick.
Would you shut up for one moment? Stars allmighty, you're insufferable. It's a wonder they keep you around!
Pronouns: He/Him
Terberis is one of Gwenethe's crew members. Not much is built up regarding Terberis right now, and more characterization will happen based on audition submissions.
I can carry that. If you tried, you'd probably get dragged down by the weight!
You're a jerk when you want to be, Myalis. I'm starting to see why your father left you behind.
Is that really all you have to say to me? Y'know, you're one to talk. What kind of secrets are **you** keeping from us?
Pronouns: He/Him
Cendis is the current reigning King. He's growing old in age, currently spending his free time preparing Cerulis to take over the throne. He's changed after the loss of his eldest child, having grown much more family-oriented and caring for his only remaining child.
My dear, I'm certainly not growing any younger here, and as much as I shouldn't admit it, neither are you. Cerulis is nearly ready. I feel it in my bones.
So...what do you propose then? This is a deadly situation from the sounds of it. And if we are to believe this little visionary's word, then only she can stop what is coming. But what can we do?
I have sacrificed so much for this kingdom! I can no long resist allowing myself to be selfish. I will not lose another child!
Pronouns: She/Her
Cecielle is the current Queen Consort. She's always been a quiet and calm presence for most, often keeping the peace when tensions get high in council meetings.
All of you! You are going in circles, refusing to properly listen and cooperate with another. I am calling a break. Each of you go and take a moment to calm down and return when you feel we can continue without more conflict arising.
I know you carry those regrets close to your heart. But it does nothing but weigh you down until you are drowning in them. You must let it go. He wouldn't want you to dwell on this when the kingdom needs you.
I'd like to think I've done right by you these past few years, all things considered, but I know I am far from the perfect mother and for that I apologize. I am so very proud of you my darling. Seeing you as you are now...I couldn't be happier.
Pronouns: TBD - Currently They/Them, will change with casting?
Cerulis is the Heir to the throne. They weren't always the Heir, only being appointed the title after their older sibling passed in an accident a decade prior. They're reserved, often spending time in the library when they can with Letos, learning about different topics.
Hm, I think you missed a shelf. Here, let me help. You'll fall off the chair if you try and reach it. No- it's not a big deal, so there's no need to thank me.
I don't know- I am living in the shadow of a person who is dead and at this point I'm unsure of what to do with myself. I never wanted things to get to this point!
Do you understand what you're asking of me? I cannot just sway my father's opinion like this. When he makes up his mind, then that's it. I do not believe my influence on him can live up to whatever expectations you've developed.
Pronouns: They/Them
Genos is the royal family's Advisor and a member of the King's Council. The most reserved member of the council. They rarely ever betray what they're feeling, and all their choices and words are calculated.
Consider my offer. You can have until the end of the week, and if I don't hear from you, then I'll take your silence as a no.
You allow your emotions to get in between you and what you desire, that is the difference between you and I. How many more times will you let these knights walk all over you?
Your Majesty, you called for me?
Pronouns: He/Him
Rivule is the Head Priest, also known as The Seer and is a member of the King's Council. He has the highest title of any priest in the kingdom and manages the Priests and Priestesses. He's polite and kind, especially toward those in his care.
You of all people know what this kind of power can do to a person. I believe I know this girl more personally, and she has an extraordinary amount of potential. I do believe it's in our best interest if we take this threat seriously.
Lyvera, dear. I have raised you myself from infancy. If I doubted your abilities at all, then I wouldn't have allowed you to continue on this path. Do not ever underestimate yourself.
Rumor has it amongst my children that some knights have been sneaking about in the odd hours. You wouldn't happen to know anything regarding that, would you Tes?
Pronouns: She/Her
Tes is the Head Guard, also known as The Guardian, and a member of the King's Council. She manages the kingdom's knights. She's a very outgoing individual, which isn't too common for someone in a high position of power. When it comes to the knights under her guidance, she's very parental towards them while attempting to maintain a relationship not built on a power dynamic.
With honor to the stars, I serve you, my King. Whatever you command of me, it will be done.
You two...sit. I didn't call you here for chitchat. This is official business. No jokes, no humor. Your first official mission, and this one from the King himself no less. So pay attention.
Have you decided who shall succeed you? You're growing in age Rivule. It won't be long until you step down. Letos and I are placing bets on who shall be the next Seer.
Pronouns: They/Them
Letos is the Archivist, the individual who manages the kingdom's library and is a member of the King's Council. They've recently succeeded the previous Archivist, making them the youngest of the King's Council. They love learning and researching, which is ultimately why they were chosen for the role. Their people skills are lacking, though, and they tend to be awkward around people they're not familiar with.
I've gone through shelves upon shelves of material just regarding these visions. Not a single person in the country's recorded history has ever had anything to this extent happen to them.
Your Highness, I was not expecting you at this hour, especially with the festivities for tomorrow. Can I assist you with finding anything?
Tell your knights that if they're going to check out any of my collection, then they should return it to me in the state they got it. I've another book I need to repair the binding on now thanks to them.
These will be roles that are either minor side characters that have yet to be created, or truly just background characters or small roles that don't affect the story too much.
Please leave a large variety of examples in your submission so I can truly make sure everyone gets a part if they audition.
At least a 30 second recording of you speaking naturally.
At least a 30 second recording of you speaking in a character voice.
