The Spectre - Serpent Maze and Melody Rocks Audio Drama Double Feature
Project Overview
The Spectre is an Audio Drama Series Starring a young teen who wants to become a real life super hero. Armed with his father's police gears, his friend/sidekick Tara Trent and his wits he battles against the most terrible criminals in the darkest part of Memphis Tennessee.
Serpent Maze
To help his fellow neighbor, James Jordan as The Spectre at first was going on a small mission to find his neighbor missing cat until he got more what he bargained for when he encounter a slithery creature deep within the sewers.
Melody Rocks
The Spectre battles against 3 siren-like trio of teenage girls who plans to cause havok within his high school. Can Spectre and Tara figure out how to stop a foe who can manipulate and crush their opponents with the sound of their voice?
AUDITION RULES
#1. You have to have a clear high quality microphone. (No low quality microphones please)
#2. No Background noises! (also no bumps, stactic, or hums, or air hissing noises in the background) This is why you need a Pop Filter which also applies to Rule #3.
#3. You have to have a Pop Filter on your mic. (It really helps with suppressing Microphone bumps, when-ever you do P's or B's or when you Emphasize certain words)
#4. Stay in Character and put alot of energy into your role and acting. (In other words put yourself into the Character's shoes, BE the character)
#5. You'll get a chance to make one redo, So if your first audition wasn't quite what I had in mind. And/or if you feel like you want to try again on your 1st audition and realized you could've done a better job, Then I'll give you a 2nd chance to prove yourself and give you constructive feedback of what you need to do to improve.
#6. Also have a skype. So we can call and chat for practice line readings and back and fourth dialouge readings with other added addition to the cast in this story.

An old african american woman (around her late 50's) who has a laid back but a bit no nonsense kind of woman type voice.
(polite) Have another cookie, dear.
(concerned) You look like you could use a couple more bites to eat and a few more hours of sleep.
(not buying Jame's lies about his injuries) Mhm. Are you sure you’re alright, James?
The Strict, Serious, and Smartest one of the group. She has the habit of being excessive with her words.
Give her a calm, calculating strategist voice almost like a female spock.
(Talks about The School Tour)
Since we’ll inevitably examine the entire breadth of the school simply determine a direction and we’ll proceed from there.(Declaring herself to her audience)
It is undeniable fact based on empirical evidence that the best voting choice is Whip!”(Discussing her plan)
The plate would hardly be palpable if they were all subjugated under us. It is the confusion and terror brought forth by the uninvolved that will emphasis the fracas. It is only necessary for us to have enough pieces to orchestrate it.
Very Energetic and ditzy with a slight psychotic edge to her. Kissa is the upbeat and most predictable member of the trio.
Give a ditzy and energetic voice with a slight crazy too it, just similar to Sonata Dusk.
(Must have good comedic timing when saying one of the lines)
(Declaring herself, upbeat then sounded flat when mentioning "maybe")
Vote for Kissa and get a hug, maybe!(Acting Very Curious)
'Say, What are you thinking about? (giggles)(Flirting, whispering to her victim's ear gleefully)
You are a fun one. Why not become Kissa’s plaything?
Create a confident almost premadona pop singing leader of a band. With a smooth talking and charistma that can get anyone's attention and when giving orders
(Declaring herself to her audience)
Glaros is the heart and spirit of this school!(Explaining her partners odd behavior in a slight snobbish manner)
I do apologize for the both of them, Whip has a tendency to be rather excessive with how she talks. Kissa just finds any of those complicated words funny.(Giving her partner orders while subtlely act flirty when mentioning their "Chaperone")
We need our chaperone to show us around first, there will be time for play later.
A Cool, confident, wisecraking. and smart teen girl, but with a soft friendly side, though can be flirty when joking around.
Tara Trent is James Jordan's Best Friend and Partner in Crime-fighting. She comes off as cool and somewhat arrogant but is as nice and caring of a friend James can ask for.

(Sarcastic): So, what, we’re dealing with some sewer dwelling catnapper?
(joking, going all meta): “Are you having an internal monologue there?”
(Analysing the idea of going undercover during a mission to James): “It wouldn’t work, The place runs a fairly exclusive business especially for those on the top floors. So they got that place locked up tighter than some banks. Plus you would look too young to be working there."
Has a tense young almost naive snake-like voice as if she lacks trust in others or fear rejection of the outside world or containing an explosive monstorous temper building up within her. Also has a intense raspy aggressive tone to her voice whenever she gets angry.
(Angry)
That… Was… Rude…(trying to have a calm conversation with Spectre)
You can see who I am. I’m not the one in a costume. And what are you supposed to be, a bat? Is it Halloween again already? It’s so hard to keep track of time down here. I love Halloween. Well, not Halloween itself, but I do like candy. Do you like candy? I don’t have any candy, but I could get some. Would you like that?(avoiding to answer a question while being pressured during an intense arguement):
“I don’t want to talk about this anymore.”
(Yells in anger)
“I said I don’t want to talk about it!”
A Traditional Story telling narrator voice. You your own unique way to tell a story and make sure you have the charistmatic chops to keep listeners interested and have their undivided attention.
Dawn slowly crept over the horizon over the city of Memphis, TN basking it in the early morning light. Many of the residents were still in sleep not yet ready to face the new day. But not all was restful or peaceful in this quaint city. The commotion at a run of the mill gas station could hardly be something considered a normal morning routine.
The whole thing sounded like some school popularity contest. Though he’ll admit it seemed the student body was being overzealous about it. He did not wager it would have been that big of a deal. Frankly this whole level of fervor was on the level of almost comical.
This was far from the Spectre’s usual cup of tea. No random thugs, no freaks in costumes, no actual crime as far as he knew. In fact, the whole thing sounded like the go to activity for bored heroes when there was no real crime to fight; rescuing a lost pet. It might have been beneath him in a way, but he was doing it both as a favor to Ms. Pearl and because it seemed like something that couldn’t possibly escalate to a life threatening ordeal for once. James secretly hoped to find Captain Fuzzyboots stuck atop some tree just to make the whole cliché complete. Unfortunately that was not the case
A Comical Joke Villian
Overly confident fighter type voice in a cheesy fake chinese accent. Trying to pull off an emulate Bruce Lee's voice but failing at it.
Without it his voice sounds similar to either Dan Hibiki's voice or any nasally vocal performances of richard steven horvitz.
(Boastful in a hammy dramatic way)
“Please no need to hide your fear of me. Since I’ve awakened the inner heart of the dragon within, my prowess has grown beyond what you can handle my nemesis!”(Questioning his opponent starting to be dissapointed)
Seriously? Not because you are scared of my fists of furies?(Angered not being taken seriously)
What you are saying? Look at my righteous spoils that I have stolen as I spit on the face of your authorities!
