The Soldier: Animated Short film
Project Overview
The Soldier (working title) follows a former soldier, traumatised by the actrocites he had to commit during war, now in hiding and vowing to never pick up a gun again.
After enemy soldiers search his room, certain events lead to him deciding if he should once again fight but for this time what he believes are for the right reasons.

The Soldier is the main character in the film, he is an ex soldier aged from late 20s - 30s. German is his nationality, though he is a german speaker, this film has no dialouge so knowing german is not a requirement.
Emotionally he is traumatised from the horros of war, and the atrocities he had to commit. He has now removed himself from the war, and is in hiding, swearing to never have to shoot a gun again.
The soldier carries with him a toy plane that is a reminder of his late son, who is a reminder of his life before the war, and motivates him to fight once more.
This character has no voice lines, as the short film has no/very small dialouge. This means that the ability to act through non-dialouge sounds is vital. However I have written down a line of dialouge just to give me a better gauge if you are the right fit for the role. The commanding soldier leads a small troupe of soldiers, and are the aggressors in this short film.
German nationality however knowing german is not needed for this role, as this is a no dialouge film. There are two soldier grunts that follow the commander, so there may be two voice acting oppotunies involved.
This soldier grunts have the only line in the film, so unlike the other characters, Germans is highly prefered. If you feel like you would like to adlib any lines to better show your abilites please feel free to do so.

The soldier's child appears in a flashback before the war had started, so a happier mood of time should reflect that. This child is full of joy. The child is from 6-14 years old, and their nationality is German, but knowing german is not required as this is a non dialouge film. Therfore acting without dialouge is vital.

The child of war is 6-12 years old, perhaps slighly younger than the soldiers child. His nationality is German, but German is not required as there is no dialouge.
This child should contrast the child belonging to the soldier as he has grown up and lives in a much less joyful time. He is exhausted from trying to survive in this world, however he tries his best to make things work, and the voice acting performance should reflect all of this.
