Project Overview
Chapter 1: The Crawling Begins
serves as a "short and punchy" introduction to the horrors of the estate, designed to establish a dark, atmospheric tone and teach fundamental survival mechanics.
Enemies and StealthThe Creepy Crawler: This is the chapter's primary "mascot" enemy, intended to introduce the player to the "cousins" and set the game's tone through its frightening design.
The Shrieker: A secondary, blind experiment that uses echolocation. This enemy introduces the stealth mechanic, forcing players to use lockers and hiding spots while moving slowly to avoid detection.
Core MechanicsThe Flashlight: Arthur finds the Basic Torch in the very first room of the manor, introducing the concept of battery management.
The Conduit: Found in the Creepy Crawler's containment room, this tool is the foundation for the game's Imprint system, though no supernatural fragments are available to absorb until later chapters.
