The River of Limbø
Project Overview
Limbø is the realm between realms and home to the secrets that cannot get out. The Keeper, a being whose job is to watch over all of Time itself, has been unresponsive. A tear between our world and Limbø has caused what many think will be the end of the world. A group of young adults come together with their fragile information and unique experiences to fix their realm’s tears and to find out what happened to The Keeper. Lucius, a medical student with a hard-set goal and the glasses to prove himself leads us with his recorded and written logs on their path to find The River Of Limbø.

Lucius Lovelock is the main character of the story, and the narrator in the sense that we are told their endeavors through his logs. He is grumpy and sleep-deprived. Lucius is a former medical student and has an unnerving enthusiasm for diseases. Lucius is a lanky and pale ginger. He has dirty ginger hair, which he can pass as dark brown in the right lighting. He’s got moles and freckles on him, and his choice of clothing is casual and formal, mixed with the fucked up and dirtiness of a post-apocalyptic fashion sense. He has glasses and keeps himself smooth of facial hair for the most part.

[Exsasperated] Don’t ruin this for me, Minerva! We’ve finally gotten close to something and I don’t want your weird [hesitant pause] powers getting in the way.
[Normal tone, unamused] Looking for a home here will probably be a little harder than in our past locations.
[Narrating logs] Besides all of the tripping and being bitten by small flying bugs, I would say that our work for the day was rather productive.
Minerva (Mini) is a sweet girl to whoever interacts with her. She’s the kind of girl who won’t bite unless they’re biting back. She’s calm most hours of the day and smiles or does not. There’s rarely a between with her. Minerva has a “shadow” which is a being made of the same ichor as the Wanderers and other beasts that come from the between realm, who is seemingly bound to her. Her shadow and her are close friends. Because of her interesting connection to the other realm, Mini and Lucius are working together and have known each other the longest out of the final group. Mini is small and round-figured. She has fluffy dark brown hair. Her eyes are eerily pale, so much so that she can be mistaken for a blind girl at times. She likes to wear sweaters and thick jeans since her connection to the other realm makes her abnormally cold very fast. She’s very pale, but from what has been gathered, she would have naturally dirty tanned skin without her Shadow’s effects.

[Speaking to her shadow] This seems like it might be more difficult than we thought. I sure hope Lucius won’t mind that.
[Calmly] I don’t think we should be here much longer.
[To Lucius] Why are you so worried? Nothing’s happened yet.
There isn’t much to Archie as of now. He only remembers the F at the start of his last name. Archie is paranoid and untrusting. He gets closest to Lucius after he’s learned to be immune to the diseases and mental issues the beasts from the other realm cause. Lucius and him start working closely on the cures to their issues, and the path back to Archie’s memory. Archie is dark-skinned with curly locks of hair and pale dead eyes. He can see things similarly to how Mini does, but his sight and immune system are much more fragile. He wears some of the clothes he gets from the Threshold or ones that Lucius lets him borrow. He’s constantly shaking, and when the group doesn’t need him, he’ll curl up to sleep.

[Panciked] Don’t touch me! Stay away!
[Quivering] I can’t remember a thing. Did I know you? Please, don’t hurt me.
[Confidently] I’m sure I know where we are! I think I stumbled through here when I found you guys.
Ceres is a sculpting artist and a seamstress in training. She is tough but this also leads to hot-headed and headstrong decisions. Ceres is closest to Mini when she joins the group. She is the one who captures Fergus and helps produce enough totems to ensure safety. Ceres is pale with nice brown hair. She likes to focus and pucks her lip any time she’s thinking of something. Her attitude leaks through her tone when she isn’t actively smiling. Ceres is quite sweet to Fergus and Archie, but she is brutally unkind to Lucius from the start.

[Gruffly] Don’t insult my work, lab rat.
[Calmly] I found this thing wandering around. It looks like the ones that attacked us. [pause] And sure, it’s less dangerous-looking.
[Hesitantly] Thank you. Should I come back here?
Fergus is a wanderer. It’s one of the only ones who hasn’t been completely out of it and trying to kill the group. It spends its time with Lucius or with Ceres. It is very sweet and a little oblivious to all that’s going on right now.

[Thoughtfully] Maybe we could try looking around it? I don’t think we’ll have a lot of luck just [pause] doing this.
Mrs. Lilifig is a sweet old seamstress who lives in the deep parts of the Threshold. She’s a motherly woman and does her best to take care of the group even when they don’t spend their time in the Threshold. Mrs. Lilifig is a taller woman with long curly locks of grey and black hair. She tends to look unfocused, but she isn’t. She just has a calm focusing face.

[Kindly] Oh, don’t mind that. I’m sure we’ll figure something out. Just focus on settling.
[Worried] Are you sure something like that’s a good idea? You do see what those things can do to people, right?
Mar is a Wanderer. Mar will show up very scarcely throughout the series. It is a little sassy with the group and shows a lot of dislike for Fergus.

Death is a dashing man. He's eyeless but he has no trouble seeing. He takes pride in his job with the Ferryman, and he's quite light hearted for someone who deals with the distraught and demented souls of the damned. Death is pale and wears nice formal clothing. He's always hold a synth and a lantern on his hip. He wears sunglasses to keep his empty sockets from bothering his clients. As the Keeper's grandson, Death finds himself in the middle of the awful war the tears have started.

[Exasperated] What are you talking about? You should never just jump on a boat if you don't know where it's going!
[Kindly] Oh, I would love to. Unfortunately, I don't think my grandfather would like that as much...
[Whistling for a moment] Oh! Right, this should be the easy part. [Hesitant pause] How prone are you to heart attacks?
The Keeper, aka The Time Keeper is the being who is in charge of all that was is and will be. He keeps track of everything at all times, even time itself. He watched through birds and gets reports in Limbø. He's gone missing in the current story, and hasn't been around to help the tears that are causing all of the main 5's issues. He's a bored and tired man. Despite intense situations, he never takes much of a loud tone. Not unless he's provoked personally, of course.
