The Queening Trials
Project Overview
BACKGROUND
Long ago as humanity began to progress, monstrous beings called "Myths" became present throughout the world. These monstrous beings killed many humans because of their abilities in shapeshifting into humans themselves. Due to these events, populations decreased, and 3 nations arose to defend society against these creatures: Elegant Valley, Maleosus, and Alonia. As these nations built up, Alonia was cut short too soon by an ambush of Myths, however, Elegant Valley and Maleosus continued to build up their societies. These societies underwent their technological revolution in the early 2000s, and fully modernized. This revolution allowed the end of the horrific events with the Myths, since technology could now detect and control these creatures without much of a struggle.
PRESENT DAY
Throughout a course of 10 years, Sir Liam Handred had successfully revamped technology even more in Elegant Valley during his reign with the help of Tuesday Maleo, a top engineer in the world. This technology helped stabilize the control of Myths even more. With the end of Handred's reign, he scouted out several candidates for the throne that he knew would be prepared to deal with the throne, and would be a good successor. Alia Lanquel was one of the top candidates in his pickings, and she successfully completed the competing portion of the trials necessary for her to be crowned queen. All that was left the final stages of her trials, and she would be crowned queen of Elegant Valley. However, as she goes through the trials, things between humans and Myths don't start to make sense, and Alia starts to uncover the strange connections between the higher ups and Myths.
