PILOT- The other side of the forest - 1st few characters
Project Overview
A young girl goes with her older sister to a house party, only to feel out of place and bored. Instead of having fun like she'd imagined, she's sat in a corner with the host's dog. The dog suddenly runs into the nearby forest, and she chases after it—only to discover it wasn’t the dog at all. In the woods, she meets a lively creature named Spirit, who guides her through a community of mysterious forest spirits. What do these spirits hold in store for her? And who brought her here in the first place?

Good morning/afternoon/evening, guys! We’ve just added two new characters to the auditions! Major, and Tabitha. There will be more out soon, (+anything can happen) but for now this is what we have!

Lily is impulsive, emotional, and always getting herself into situations without thinking them through. She speaks her mind (even when she shouldn’t), and once she decides something, good luck changing it.
She’s messy, loud, and stubborn—but she’s also loyal, brave, and full of heart, even if she doesn’t always show it the right way. Lily doesn’t have it all figured out, but she’s trying, and that’s what makes her such a fun (and sometimes frustrating) person!

The voice I imagine for this character is something like Midge from the Barbie series if you know what I mean? Pelly is a wild and messy forest spirit with a big personality. She used to be human but got lost in the forest and turned into a spirit. Even though she’s one of the older forest spirits, like Teka, she’s not very mature. She’s bratty, throws lots of fits when things don’t go her way, and can be a total childlike drama queen. Pelly thinks the other spirits should serve her and loves to throw big parties on what she calls “her” side of the forest, always making sure she’s the center of attention.

Major is a kindhearted bear spirit who always tries to do the right thing, but he’s also cautious about who deserves help. While he cares deeply, he’s learned not everyone has good intentions—and he often steps in to make sure Charlie isn’t being too trusting. Charlie’s like a little brother to him, and Major does his best to protect him, even if it means being a little gruff sometimes. He has a deep love for the stars—no one’s completely sure why, but his fascination with them is endless. Major could spend hours watching the night sky in silence. His biggest fear is failing to keep the ones he loves safe.

Charlie can be a little…much sometimes… sure, he doesn’t always know what he’s doing… but he’s trying! And that’s what counts.
(Joking) The stars seem calm and quiet, but I’m sure they’ve got some serious gossip up there! (He laughs at his joke, and then stops when he notices no one else laughed)
Don’t you dare make me talk to that thing!! i think it’s judging me… (trying to convince someone, but failing)

Tabitha is a cat spirit who has trouble trusting anyone. She prefers to stay a lone wolf. The only spirit she would even think about talking to is Jo Anne. No one else seems to understand her, so who better to share her thoughts and feelings with? She hates authority figures like Pelly or Teka, but she especially hates Helen. They arrived in the forest around the same time, new together, even friends for a while. But they fell out when Tabitha realized Helen was just like the others. Or maybe It was Tabitha’s trust that drove them apart.
No! I’m not hiding.. I’m just.. strategically not being found!
Pelly’s just a spoiled brat in a forest too big for her tantrums.

Teka is one of the more tricky and deceptive forest spirits. She’s narcissistic, manipulative, and doesn’t believe anything unless it’s proven to her. She has a darker past that will be revealed later. Teka has only one friend—a forest spirit who is her total opposite, always looking on the bright side. Other than that, she sees everyone else as tools to get what she wants. She’s an older forest spirit, which gives her experience, but her personality makes her hard to trust.

Charlie is a young forest spirit with strong personal beliefs. He can't stand unkindness and makes sure those who are unkind regret it by annoying them persistently. Despite his fear of bugs and deep water, Charlie loves helping others and often claims that no job is too big for him, even when it is. His biggest fear is not being able to help someone in need.

She often knows exactly what needs to be done but would rather sit back and watch everyone else struggle to figure it out. She’s a chameleon spirit, and is able to change colours whenever she wants however she wants. Though, she prefers to take a human-like form to feel superior. Despite her tricky nature, Helen can’t stand Teka, seeing her as old and annoying. She’s convinced that Teka should step aside and let her take charge instead..

Jo Anne is a mysterious and complex individual, someone you can never fully understand. People often call her “crazy,” but in truth, she’s highly intelligent—her thoughts just don’t align with how most people think. Ever since she began transforming into a forest spirit, she’s become more detached from society, speaking in ways that feel strange to others and blending more with nature. Animals trust her, plants seem to thrive around her, and her appearance carries subtle hints of her connection to the forest. Though she has no fixed gender, she prefers to be referred to as a girl. Living between two worlds—the human and the wild—Jo Anne struggles to be understood, but her heart belongs to the forest.
