Project Overview
INTRODUCTION
Hello, everyone! This casting call is for a short film titled "The Old Man" that is being developed by Sniper Films! I am the executive producer and I also help with the casting.
The short film is about a young woman who accidentally hits an old homeless man on the side of the road while trying to avoid him. Knowing that she may get in trouble for this, she makes the foolish decision to dump his body in the middle of the woods. Unfortunately to her, the old man keeps showing up to haunt her.

DEADLINES AND AUDITIONS
The deadline for auditions is August 1st, 2021. There are currently no plans to extend this deadline, as the full script is ready to release to voice actors. The live filming is expected to wrap up on July 30th, 2021. All of the jobs in this casting call are for working at home.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
- Please submit clean recordings on prosumer mics (no air conditioners in the background, no fans -- too much clean-up reduces the quality of your voice). And speaking of clean-up -- please let us handle the post-production. Don't add effects to your lines.
- Feel free to cut your lines to your best/favorite takes. Three is the gold standard.
- We do occasionally ask for line re-dos, but we do this sparingly and only after great consideration - we realize your time is valuable, and we won't ask for anything we can't work around in edits.
- Please have a professional attitude. We are working on a schedule. We will only work with you if you will work with us.
- Please have experience if applying for editing or artistic type roles. We won't accept just anything. This is a semi-professional production company.
- A lot of our team reprise their cast/crew roles for new productions, though we will not require you to unless you want us to.

Tina is never seen in person. She's just a voice. She's your average rambling nonsense girl on the phone.

You know I just can't stand that friend of yours. What was it... Lola? Oh she's a real bore! If I were you I would get out of that one fast! Oh by the way! How was your date with that guy last night! I heard you two had a real wild time!

This is the local garbage collector. He doesn't have a very big part but he finishes a gag near the end of the film. There is already someone playing the body of the Garbage Collector, but they aren't playing the voice of him for undisclosed reasons.
He is very tired of his life and apparently has delusions quite often. Finding disturbing things in garbage cans have become the norm, but it's none of his business.

If possible we would like more than one editor to take off the load off of others.
Please have experience in editing cinematic type videos. Films and such. Show us things you've made to see if you qualify. We will have segments that are chroma-keyed in a car. It needs to be convincing. Please have a professional editing software. We are going for the popular teal-orange look for our film. If you can apply that to all of the clips that would be wonderful. If possible we will have one person do that and other people do the actual editing.
