The Nine
Project Overview
The Nine
This ambitious project of mine is aiming to create an immersive experience for the player while bringing something new. Each follower will be fully voiced with possibly 100s of lines to be recorded. Pay will differ depending on how many lines the role has which will also depend on the quality of the lines if they character gets more so please ignore the pay amount as it will be more than stated.
Each follower will come with a small backstory the player can ask about and each will have a quest that is needed to complete before they will agree to follow the player (think Loyalty missions in Mass Effect 2).
Please read the character descriptions as it'll give you some insight into the voice. and for a better look at each character head here: http://i.imgur.com/sPG3vQK.jpg

Coming from his homeland of Elsweyr, Shiro doesn't stay in one place too long to keep warm. Making friends easily he always found himself in a tavern telling and listening to tales of adventure. Carrying a sword and shield he towers over others of his kind but is generally a kind hearted companion. One day dreaming to join the ranks of the Dawnguard he is always honing his skill with a blade.
Voice Direction: Any Accent but an asian style is very much preferred (think Hanzo). Try to keep you voice low and calm.
I trust in my sword and my shield but if you do this for me, you will be the third.
One day I will be a Dawnguard and I will protect the innocent from the night.
Have you ever been to Elsweyr? You look like someone who would enjoy it. Bit warmer than Skyrim though.
An old man that can still hold his own in a fight. He has travelled all over Tamriel, lived many lives and seen many wars and has now chosen to settle in Skyrim. He went blind many years ago but has since learned to see with magic. As the civil war begins to reach boiling point he decides to leave his home and wander the wilds again choosing to adventure one last time before "It all goes to pot"
Voice direction: Aim to have a scottish or british accent and keep it aged but not comically aged.
My eyes? I'm an old blind man you fool heh! But don't let that trouble you i can still find my way with magic my daughter taught me.
The trick to a good shot, child is to slow your breathing and release between breaths.
I wanted to see this land one more time before it's torn up. I never thought I'd live to see another war, let alone dragons, The gods are funny that way I spose.
Ivyeth is a seasoned traveler of Tamriel. She tends to travel alone and only speaks when "there is something worth saying" but is always happy to share a campfire with travellers only to depart when the sun rises. Having not been to her homeland of Morrowind in some time she's no family to speak of and only her skills with a bow to remember her father by. She's roaming the lands of Skyrim seeking a dragon that attacked and destroyed a small village that she had come to call home.
Voice direction: Any accent. Deeper register. She is wise beyond her years and speaks with grace but gives off strength.
Do you always ask questions you might not want the answer to? I got this scar fighting off Nords who wanted more than a fires warmth. I lived, they didn't.
Help me kill the Dragon I seek and you'll have my service and my thanks.
I haven't seen Morrowind in many years... I barely even remember it.
A seeker of glory and riches, Garu enjoys nothing more than working for money and killing the biggest thing in battle. His half wood elf half high elf parentage has left him much taller than his wood kin but with much darker features than his high elf brothers so he tends to travel alone to avoid questions. But if the coin is right (it usually is) he will fight along side anyone to just feel the thrill of it all.
Voice direction: Any accent, but british is preferred. He's mature but stubborn as hell.
I've never travelled with anyone once the job is done "pay me the coin and let me on my way" is how i see it, but you seem like someone worth sticking around for.
Ha! Dragons! I've never seen one myself but I hear the bones fetch a fine price in whiterun, what do you say friend? 50/50?
You there, come and join me on this job and show me if you're as tough as you look.
A mage by trade, Kaan is traveling Skyrim seeking tomes and artifacts hidden in the depths. A stern Dark Elf who has seen the racism and hatred his kind gets in the lands of the Nords he's not very approachable in the wild but with a warm fire and mead he opens up. Always willing to teach anyone magic who is willing to learn and does love to tell a good story in a inn or tavern.
Voice direction: Any Accent. Raspy is a plus but just avoid young teen style.
If you wish to travel with me prove you have either the coin or the willpower and I will walk by your side until either one run out.
This place is old, very old. I wonder what madness waits us in here.
Have you ever been to the shrine of Asura? Never have I seen such a beautiful view.
Eveolyn is a true daughter of Skyrim. Growing up around a hearth in Whiterun she saw the world for what it is but always dreamed of adventure and being a companion so she travelled to the Mages College and learned the arcane returning home as a battle-mage. Taking jobs where they came she would always find herself returning to the College though to flick through dusty pages hoping to find a new spell or the location of an artifact. When the dragons returned to Skyrim she once again set out to defeat one to prove she was worth to join the Companions.
Voice direction: Any accent is fine but if you can try a nordish accent. She's young but headstrong.
I learned all I know about magic from the College. Next time we pass by that way i can show you my favourite tomes.
Hello there! I'm Eveolyn but you can call me Eve!
Have you been to see the Companions? One day i'll live in that great hall. Gods be good.
Becoming one of the youngest students to leave the College of Winterhold Sara possesses great levels of magical understanding. Has travelled around Tamriel learning what arts she can she's returned to Skyrim seeking a place to call home. Carrying a sword on her hip and magic in her blood she always seems to find herself in a fight due to her beauty attracting unwanted attention. Believing in the good of others has also brought her many disappointment but she keeps on smiling.
Voice direction: Any Accent but keep it clean and general. She's very kind and elegant but has a commanding tone due to her years at the College.
I've travelled all over Tamriel and I've never seen anything that resembles a dragon. Not to say i don't believe the stories but you'd think something so big would be easier to find!
I come from Daggerfall but the College will always be my home.
I see we can learn a lot from one another, very well, I'll walk by your side.
Ahywa (pronounced ah-hey-wa) was abandoned as an infant and adopted by a family of wood elves. She knows of her Redguard heritige but has never experienced that life and generally doesn't like talking of it. From as soon as she was strong enough to grasp one whe has held a weapon in her hands, eventually becoming a skilled fighter with both bow and swords. Upon hearing of the dragons return she has ventured to Skyrim to find new adventures. Already besting one dragon along the way she has proven extremely adaptive to new challenges.
Voice direction: Any Accent. Deeper female register. She's wise for her age but has an agressive streak.
I hunt and kill when I must and that dragon was no exception. Everything in this world has its purpose and I know someday something will return me to the dirt.
The only thing redguard about me is my skin alright?!
May Ark'ay find you and keep you.
Coming to Skyrim on pure adventure seeking, Vordus is a young headstrong Argonian with very distinct white markings who has a lot to learn about the world but makes up for it with his skill with a blade (a greatsword named Vera) hearing of the Dragons return to Skyrim he's set out to kill one for "glory and honour" But deep down he's terrified of what he'll feel when finally faced with the beast.
Voice direction: Any Accent. He's young but confident while avoiding the cocky side. Always in plucky spirits!
To Oblivion and back!... As they say.
Can we stop by a smith soon? I feel like Vera needs some work.
See Vera! We keep you nice and shiney and you get to kill a dragon!
