English dub for an old gcmm I made. Despite the fact I wasn’t very good at screen-shotting at the time, the story is really good and I would like to to be easier to watch. So I decided to add voices!
Summary of the plot (including spoilers): Katrina is a new maid at Wilson Manor. She is not there for half an hour before realizing how mysterious her master Edgar is. He recently fired all of his employees and hired new ones. Odd. Katrina meets a hunter named Haydn who becomes her secret boyfriend. Little does she know that he is merely manipulating her in order to steal something from her master. Edgar finds out about Haydn and tells Katrina that she has to break up with him or quit. Haydn decides to act now and tells Katrina he’s going to try and find out the secret and will use her as bait. Katrina distracts the butler without realizing what Haydn is doing until the butler realizes it’s a trap and runs to find Haydn. Haydn has stolen the legendary sword Edgar was hiding. Haydn reveals his true intentions to Katrina and tells her he hates her before running off. Edgar reveals that he is not Edgar but his son Nico, and that the real Edgar died. Nico took on his disguise because he wasn’t old enough to legally own the manor but he needed to protrude sword. The three of them wander into the forest and attack Haydn. Nico is about to be killed when Katrina jumps in front to save him. Haydn is shocked and Nico is able to grab the sword from him. They take Katrina back to the manor and she awakes. There is a time skip to the funeral that takes place shortly after Nico turns 18.

I’ve never posted a project on here before and I wasn’t expecting so many amazing auditions so soon! I really appreciate it! I want to wait to assign roles until after the deadline so everyone has a chance to audition but I will definitely be regularly checking this project and taking notes! Voice Actor
Name: Katrina, Age: 16, voice type: medium-high. Katrina is the main character of the gcmm. She is the newly hired maid at Wilson Manor and the cause for all the trouble that goes on there. She is a very sweet and naive person, but at the same time she’s quite the trouble maker and doesn’t take “no” for an answer. In the end when she realizes what she has done she never fully forgives herself for, as will be later talked about in part two if I ever get the chance to make it. Her character development arc is something like this: she starts as something like a young kid who doesn’t take anything too seriously and just wants to do what she wants to do. But at the end of the movie she put herself in a place where she could’ve died to save Nico because she realized that his mission was far more important, and her personal goals only lead her into a bad place.

This role will be a bit tricky to voice. Let me explain why real quick before I tell you about the character. Basically, Nico spends most of the movie pretending to be Edgar, his late father. Edgar is never actually in the movie as he’s dead before it begins. However, for most of the movie the audience should believe that Edgar is really alive and there and that Nico is somewhere else. Edgar and Nico are the same character, but you will need to be able to do two different voices. Nico disguises his voice to match that of an old man and his voice actor must do the same. It doesn’t make sense in my mind to add two different voice actors as that would be a bit inconsistent. If I must I will. Please audition using both an old man voice and a teenage boy voice. Okay, now onto the description of his character! Disguise name: Edgar, age: late 60s, gender: male, voice: medium low. Edgar was a very solitary and angry man during his life. Nico does a very good job of playing this part. He does not like people, and he does not treat his maids/servants well. Except for his loyal butler, who is his only friend in the world. He had been like this ever since his wife died (Edgar not Nico 😭). Name: Nico, Age: 17, gender: male, voice: medium. Nico is a mysterious and quiet person currently grieving his father, who was one of the only people he knew. Unlike his father he is kind, but much like his father he’s antisocial and keeps to himself.
(Edgar) If you have nothing else to do them get back inside! There is work to be done.
(Edgar) I know that you think you are a very important person, but to me you are a maid who owes me respect. I need you to trust my decisions or you will no longer be allowed to work here.
(Nico) and it is so hard to pretend when I miss my father so…

Name: Haydn, Age: 17, Gender: male, voice: medium-low. Haydn is a flirty and attractive hunter from the forest who is secretly manipulating Katrina into dating him so he can steal something from Nico. Has a normal voice and a villain voice. Honestly he’s Hans from Frozen 💀
(response to Katrina’s confession) I know I’m in love with you
Do you love me or not? (Katrina responds) then do this for me, alright? You’re not technically doing anything wrong.

Name: Butler, age: 50s, gender: male, voice: medium low. Nico’s loyal butler and the only one who knows the truth. He is very calm with contrasts both with Edgar’s anger and Nico’s despair.
Do not be too hard on the girl sir, she seems nice enough.
You have been at Wilson manor just shy of a week. You need to understand that there are some places you are not allowed to be. It is for your safety as well as ours.
Let us all admit that we are all at some degree of fault. Even I who did nothing more or less than what I was told fell short of what I could have done.

Age: 40s, gender: female, voice: medium. A cool who is very suspicious of Katrina’s behavior.
