This role will be a bit tricky to voice. Let me explain why real quick before I tell you about the character. Basically, Nico spends most of the movie pretending to be Edgar, his late father. Edgar is never actually in the movie as he’s dead before it begins. However, for most of the movie the audience should believe that Edgar is really alive and there and that Nico is somewhere else. Edgar and Nico are the same character, but you will need to be able to do two different voices. Nico disguises his voice to match that of an old man and his voice actor must do the same. It doesn’t make sense in my mind to add two different voice actors as that would be a bit inconsistent. If I must I will. Please audition using both an old man voice and a teenage boy voice. Okay, now onto the description of his character! Disguise name: Edgar, age: late 60s, gender: male, voice: medium low. Edgar was a very solitary and angry man during his life. Nico does a very good job of playing this part. He does not like people, and he does not treat his maids/servants well. Except for his loyal butler, who is his only friend in the world. He had been like this ever since his wife died (Edgar not Nico 😭). Name: Nico, Age: 17, gender: male, voice: medium. Nico is a mysterious and quiet person currently grieving his father, who was one of the only people he knew. Unlike his father he is kind, but much like his father he’s antisocial and keeps to himself.
