The Marvel-Dub Project
Project Overview
I’ve occasionally seen fandubs of random webcomics all over the internet, and I’ve always thought it was an interesting and cool way to pay homage to people’s favorite things. I started reading Marvel comics and I wondered, why had no one done so for this? I just recently looked around on YouTube, and there are a couple, seemingly very specific ones or ones in different languages, but nothing like i’ve thought about. I want to, starting in the Silver Age of comics, dub the entire core reading order. Through the silly and the dramatic, give people a fun and cool way of really sitting back and hearing the stories all the way back starting in the 1960’s. All that fun sexism, racism, and anti-communism, all the way up to the gripping and dramatic stories of the last few decades. So I ask, who wants to answer the call of just hanging out and making something wonderful together? For those interested I say, VOICEACTORS, ASSEMBLE! Just interpret each character how you would like based on appearance and personality. I look forward to hearing what you can do!
I want to have this be a long term project, but we’ll see how it goes. I wanna check interest and see who is in. Maybe talk on Skype or discord as we discuss ideas and figure out how best to format this massive project. This is half talent search and half interest check. If it turns out well, awesome! If not, hey, life goes on.
As the first call, I am calling for people to voice characters in the first marvel comic in the Silver Age. Fantastic Four issue one. For the project, i’m using the cmro online, which sorts all marvel comics in a perfect reading order.
Theoretically, the background cast characters and narrarators and such will be people I consider from these auditions, and I will consider past auditions when looking for new characters.

Aliens from the Andromeda Galaxy. The very advanced and expansionist empire of the Skrulls is said to have designed other intelligent races with their own DNA. As a race of controlling shape-shifters, they just want control and dominance. Give it whatever voice you think fits. Keep in mind that people will need to imitate the accent/quality to be Skrulls in the future!
The unsuspecting Earthmen will never know that we Skrulls have impersonated their famous Fantastic Four!

The Thing (Benjamin Grimm) is a man with a gruff, tough exterior and can appear grim, but is actually very kind-hearted and often well liked among other heroes. Stubborn and sometimes hot-tempered, although that often turns out to make him very determined, enthusiastic and brave, rarely, if ever, gives up a fight.
Despite his tough and gruff attitude and personality, he has at times, although seldom, shown to lightly tear up during extremely touching moments, proving he does have a sensitive side beneath his hard disposition. He is also often sarcastic, quick to throw a wise crack.
That's the last time I try mouth-ta-mouth resuscitation with a guy that calls himself a thunder god...
*Sniff* You bet... all the way, lady... Just don't tell anyone ya saw me blubberin' like a baby.

Zachary Allen-Thierry
Mr Fantastic (Reed Richards) is an intellectual who prefers to examine foes and if possible negotiate with them before actually fighting them. He is often intrigued by the scientific implications of a problem, so much so that he almost forgets there is a problem in the first place. Reed is an extremely likable fellow who keeps a pleasant smile on his face and cares deeply about those he is close to, particularly his extended family. However, he does occasionally lapse into depression and self-hatred over long-standing unsolved problems, most notably Ben’s inability to return to human form and Franklin’s mysterious potential. Reed is a humanitarian who will try to prevent any intelligent being from suffering. This can lead him to do controversial things that fly in the face of all apparent logic.
It's just a guess, old friend, but if I'm right, we could be up against the greatest threat we've ever faced!
What I've built here with this tree and my elastic arms is what people would call a slingshot. I'm the sling, and you're getting shot!!

Sister of Johnny Storm (The Human Torch) and love interest of Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Sue is an average girl personality-wise. She is very protective of those she loves, very loving and can get rather emotional. The original comics of course have a bit of a sexist caricature of her of course, but her love of family and friends never fades. (Sorry this bio is less professional sounding than the others, the wiki didn't have a pretty personality description for her, and that's what I've used mostly.)

Johnny Storm (The Human Torch) is a hotheaded teen. He has a bigger temper than the Thing, but his overconfidence and hot-headedness is a cover for his actual lack of self confidence and respect. He’s very hard on himself and holds himself to a very high standard. (Again, no personality section on wiki, I did my best)
