The Lost Boys The Begging Phase One-Voice Actors needed
Project Overview
The Lost Boys the beginning is finally in production which means we are looking for some great talent to bring our characters to life. After editing the script with members of the team on the original movie, our team has been working hard to get this movie out.
Please note, all voice actors will be live recording with our voice director.
Voice Actor
David is a 21 year old thief in 1906. As the self appointed leader of the group he is always moving things forward- leading them through heists, keeping them out of trouble and trying his best to keep them off the streets. When their lives are torn apart by Vlad, it is David who fights to save them.
VOCAL PLACEMENT-
Unlike the Lost Boys movie, David has a softer vocal placement in the beginning up until his Vampire transformation.

"Relax will ya? We'll get out of this soon enough. A few weeks of work for free lodgings and meals is nothing"
"This flower is as blue as your eyes. (Brief Pause) pretty"
(Post Vampire Transformation) "Your options are simple. Let the kid go or I rip him from your cold dead hands. You choose".
Voice Actor
Marko is an 18 year old thief in 1906. As the youngest of the group, he sometimes isn’t taken seriously. Once an orphan immigrant from Italy, Marko met David before he met anyone else. He is not great at grammar in terms of his speech and he often gives off little brother vibes. He sticks by his brother's side whenever he is in control of himself.
VOCAL PLACEMENT-
Marko is a young adult. His voice is not terribly different from what it was in the 1987 film, however there is a lack of 80’s twang. He sounds a bit younger.

"Looky, he dropped his ring. (Brief pause) Think it's worth anything?"
(Terrified) "Nuh uh, he was fang deep in that guy makin a bloody mess everywhere! He ate him!"
(Taunting) "You joining the military David?"
Voice Actor
Dwayne is a 23 year old thief in 1906. As the eldest lost boy, he serves as a second to David and the rational thinker. Being a native american in a time when they weren’t well liked or appreciated, Dwayne carries himself with a cautious, careful energy. He does what he can to keep the boys out of trouble but when Vlad comes into the picture it becomes a bit difficult.
VOCAL PLACEMENT-
Same as the 1987 film.

"Will you three quit it! You get him mad again, it's all our asses!"
"Now hold it just a minute. We don't know just what this guy wants from us. It could be shady builsness".
(Shaky/tearing up) "That wasn't- no, no NO. What did you make me do".
Voice Actor
Paul is a 20 year old thief in 1906. Known for his street fighting skills, Paul often distracts so his brothers can pick pockets. He has always been a wild child, always jumping on plans without thinking them through. He was always closest to Marko, the two of them feeding off of each other's energy. He is fiercely loyal to his brothers until Vlad comes between them.
VOCAL PLACEMENT-
Same as the 1987 film.

"I didn't need those Irons; I could have handled him. I've got the fastest hands in San-Francisco".
"Well shit, we're just screwed through and through, aren't we?"
(Terrified) "W-what have you done?...WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME YOU BASTARD!".
Voice Actor
Jasper is a 19 year old thief in 1906. As Dwayne's only biological brother, he faces the same fears of his brother- being a native in times when it wasn’t safe to be such. He is usually quiet and well behaved, listening to David and Dwayne without complaint. It isn’t until Vlad comes into the picture that this youngsters life is completely uprooted and ruined for the worst.
VOCAL PLACEMENT
Jasper is a ragged street kid living in California in 1906. He has no reference to go off of so it’s up to you to find his voice.

"Will you quit nagging me? I got the damn wallet"
"This place is bigger than anything I've ever seen. Santa Carla is no joke"
(fearful) "Dwayne (pause) you're scaring me".
Voice Actor
Anastasia Romanov is a Russian princess who is currently on the run. She is in her late teens to early twenties and the love interest to David. Her connection to the European Vampire Vlad is unknown but it’s clear she is aware of the dark lurkings in the hotel. Unlike the original script for the beginning, Anastasia is not a ditsy princess who can’t think for herself.
VOCAL PLACEMENT
Anastasia’s accent is key, however it is extremely important she does not sound like a stereotype.

(Startled) "Oh! (pause) Apologies I did not see you. How do you do?"
"You can run but you will not make it far. Vlad has a way of finding people who owe him".
(Angry) "You will not hurt him- any of them. Keep your claws away from them".
Voice Actor
Vlad is a European vampire whom is thousands of years old. He has been making his way across the world, spreading his vampire underlings throughout the world. He has come to Santa Carla in search of something that was stolen from him. While here, he begins spreading his vampire blood, creating more vampires.
VOCAL PLACEMENT-
Vlad Dracula. It doesn’t get easier than that. He is not cartoony. He is menacing and poised. A proper gentleman until he doesn’t need to be. Romanian accent.

"We are all friends, aren't we? Then come, share a drink with me".
"Princess, is it not time for you to sleep? We wouldn't want you drowsy for tomorrow night".
"I made you an immortal and this is how you repay me? Never mind, you will be dealt with"
Voice Actor
Lomax is a 50 some year-old thug who runs the streets of San Francisco. He has whores who walk the streets, men who keep eyes on his business. He serves as a disruption to the Lost Boys back when they ran the streets of San Francisco. Unfortunately, when he meets Vlad, his life chances for the worst.
VOCAL PLACEMENT
A typical evil old man's voice. Not cartoony but obviously a bad dude.

"So, you boys want to come onto my docks and fuck with my client flow and keep all your fingers? Sounds a bit greedy eh?"
"And if I ever catch any of you down here again, I am going to shoot you dead. All of you".
"Get out of my sight"
Voice Actor
Max is a thousand year old vampire. He is Vlad's older brother, speaking with a transatlantic accent despite coming from Romania. He gives a completely friendly vibe, truly only wanting to help. He takes the boys in immediately.

"No need to fret boys- my what a mess. I am simply passing through"
"He was my brother (pause) Shame, he never did show restraint".
"You boys can't be left on your own, not in this state. Come, I have a residence here I shall take you".
Voice Actor
Viktor is a 19 year old European waiter who has immigrated to the U.S to escape from the Nosferatu in their home country- How tragic when he and his brother ended up working in the hotel he owns. Now trapped, he and his brother Radu protect the child who dared to steal from the vampire in hopes of someday putting an end to him.
VOICE PLACEMENT
Viktor is the comedic relief brother in a sense. Their accents need to be Romanian.

"Radu, it is worse than we feared. He has returned".
"Hide the boy, we must hide the boy before he returns".
"Radu, he has already been claimed. David is lost to us"
Voice Actor
Radu is 18 years old working as a server at the hotel with his brother Viktor. The two traveled from Romania to escape the Nosferatu in their home country- How tragic when he and his brother ended up working in the hotel he owns. Now trapped, he and his brother protect the child who stole from Vlad in the hopes of someday putting an end to him.
VOCAL PLACEMENT
Radu has a Romanian accent. He is also a comedic relief character at times.

"David, you are our last hope. If you are the only person who isn't under his control".
Voice Actor
Charlie is a little boy who says very little. He exists around the hotel, hanging around with Victor and Radu. He is no older than 7 and he is the one who stole from Vlad.
VOCAL PLACEMENT
He has one line in the whole movie. He is a child, there’s not much else to it.

"Well, I guess there's going to be a lot more vampires around here from now on".

Child David aged ten is running away from the orphanage. A minor role, same vocal direction as his adult.
"No, you stay. Me go. God, do ya speak English?"
"Hey, leave him alone! He's with me".
"You guys are rough (chuck)".
Voice Actor
Child Marko aged 6. He sees David leaving and decides to go with him. He does not speak English. Same direction as adult Marko.
Italian speaking role/broken English role.
(Broken English) "Come too?"
"Il tipo grasso strano?"
(Confused/worried laughter) Crazy. Okay.
Voice Actor
Child Paul aged 9. Grubby street kid. Use his adult audition for reference.
"What are you doing in my territory?"
"Well- So what? I can build my way up. My own empire!"
"Alright fine, you've convinced me. I'll join you".

Child Dwayne age 12. Very over protective of his brother and very guarded.
"We don't want any trouble, so just leave us alone"
"Where have I heard that one before. You white men are all the same".
"An immigrant? What are your intentions with that boy"

Child Jasper age 7. Goes along with everything his brother says.
"Yeah, what he said. Leave us alone".
"We ain't got no money Orphan boy, leave us be".
"What language is he speaking? I don't think I've ever heard it before".
