The Katath | Animated Pilot (CASHAPP AND ZELLE ONLY) 16+
Project Overview
Hey! I'm currently putting together a team to help create the pilot episode for an indie animated series called The Katath.
The story follows Xanthia Ell, a royal princess who secretly leaves her perfect kingdom and discovers the harsh world outside its walls, a place known as the Katath, where rebels, survivors, and outcasts live.
As she searches for the truth about her missing mother and the empire she grew up in, she slowly becomes part of a rebellion that could change everything.
The series mixes fantasy, sci-fi, mythology, action, and some musical moments.
Right now I'm looking for artists who want to help bring the pilot episode to life.
This is an indie project, so payment isn't huge, but everyone involved will be credited and will help shape the visual identity of the show.
Our first casting call went great and I cannot wait to see how this next one goes!

Character: Bazura Deacon (He/Him)
Bazura is a ruthless and immature leader of the Yakira military. He embodies toxic masculinity. He is arrogant, sadistic, and completely uncaring toward others. He loves toying with the Katathians and killing them for sport. He molds Aurixia into his image and uses her without regard for her own identity.
Vocal Requirements:
Singing Style: Theatrical punk rock vibe. Energetic, aggressive, raw, and over-the-top with swagger. Dramatic punk delivery with strong attitude, grit when angry, and theatrical flair.
Must be able to sing high and low with good range and control.
This is a singing-only role. No spoken lines required.
Audition Requirements:
Send a voice clip (video or audio) of you performing one song that best showcases your theatrical punk rock style and range.
You may use any provided audition lines/songs from the project.
You are completely free to choose any other song that fits the character’s chaotic, aggressive energy.
Important: Include the instrumental track (karaoke version) of the song. Do not use the original version with vocals or do a acapella.

Payment:
25 cents per word sung in a song + 10 dollars per minute of finished audio.

I’m looking for a Lead Animator / Animation Supervisor to help oversee animation for the The Katath pilot.
This role will help maintain animation quality and consistency across the project. The Lead Animator will animate some shots while also reviewing work from other animators to make sure characters stay on-model and movement feels consistent.
Since this is a small indie production, the goal isn’t to heavily control every frame, but to help guide the animation style and provide feedback when needed.
This role will work closely with the creator to help bring the pilot to life.
Responsibilities:
• Animating some shots for the pilot
• Reviewing animator submissions and giving feedback
• Helping keep character movement and style consistent
• Making small adjustments when needed
• Helping set the animation standard for the team
Experience with 2D animation and working with a team is preferred.
Programs such as:
• Toon Boom
• Adobe Animate
• Clip Studio
• TVPaint
• or similar animation software
are all acceptable.
Payment:
$75-150 for supervising animation on the pilot (depending on workload and experience).
Additional pay may be provided for shots the Lead Animator personally animates.
Payment will be sent after the work is completed. typically within a 1 week

Visual Development Artists help establish the visual style of The Katath. This includes exploring the look of environments, lighting, architecture, and the overall aesthetic of the world.
You will help define the visual identity of places like the royal kingdom, the Katath wilderness, and other key locations in the series.
Responsibilities:
• Creating concept art for environments and locations
• Exploring color palettes and lighting styles
• Helping establish the visual tone of the show
Payment is per finished concept piece
Typical rate: 15-20$ depending on complexity.

• Preparing backgrounds for animation use
Payment:
15-30$ depending on complexity

The Composer will create the background score for The Katath pilot. This includes emotional themes, action music, and atmospheric tracks used throughout the episode.
The goal is to create music that enhances the tone of the world and characters.

• Action or suspense music when needed
• Working with the director to match scenes
Payment:
$20–$60 per track depending on complexity and length.

This role focuses on creating the musical numbers used in the pilot episode.
The composer will help develop the instrumentals and musical structure for songs performed by characters in the story.
This will involve working with bullet points and ideas that already exist or helping shape the musical direction of the scene. AND IMPORTANTLY writing lyrics

• Collaborating with voice actors and the director

$40–$100 per song depending on length and complexity.

The Sound Designer will help bring the world of The Katath to life through sound effects and audio mixing.
This includes environmental sounds, impacts, tech noises, and balancing dialogue with music.

Payment:
$10–$30 per scene

I’m looking for an Editor/Compositor to help assemble the final episode of The Katath pilot.
This role involves combining animation, voice acting, music, and sound effects into the finished episode. The editor will help bring all the pieces together and ensure scenes flow smoothly.
This position is important during the later stages of production when completed scenes begin coming in.
Responsibilities:
• Assembling finished animation scenes into the full episode
• Syncing dialogue with animation
• Adding music and sound effects to scenes
• Adjusting timing when necessary
• Exporting the final episode
Experience with editing or compositing software is preferred.
Examples include:
• Adobe Premiere Pro
• After Effects
• DaVinci Resolve
• Other similar editing software
