The Jewel Conspiracy (Minecraft Film)
Project Overview
The Gawian Empire maintains fragile peace with its desert colony world of Kastara through diplomatic channels. When Lieutenant Rix and Ambassador Thane Voss discover military intelligence about the GSS Jewel — a massive super carrier orbiting Kastara — they uncover evidence suggesting its true purpose isn't defense, but occupation.
Their attempt to expose the conspiracy through official channels backfires spectacularly. Arrested for disrupting Imperial proceedings, they're approached by Maxwell Blackwood — a calculating Conservative lawyer who sees their case as the perfect weapon in his political war against military overreach.
What begins as a legal battle in the halls of power transforms into something far more dangerous. As the Jewel prepares for deployment and diplomatic solutions crumble, hard choices must be made about loyalty, sacrifice, and how far people will go to protect what they believe in.
A 90-minute political thriller that escalates into military action, featuring conspiracy, courtroom drama, and impossible decisions.

Zara Solari is a 19-year-old Cerean scientist and New Union operative, wanted in seven Imperial territories for information theft, border violations, and rebel activities. She's brilliant, resourceful, and carries herself with the quiet alertness of someone who's spent years being hunted. Her research is classified as "criminal science" under Imperial law but respected everywhere that matters. She doesn't apologize for any of it.
This is a lead role with franchise potential across all four films.

And it's 'Doctor' Solari. My research may be banned in Gawian territories, but Cerean scientific standards don't bow to your politics.
When empires prepare to crush independence, laws become suggestions, Admiral.
When your fleet arrives, when the Jewel comes, Kastara won't stand alone. The New Union ensures that.
Thane Voss is the Kastaran Ambassador to the Gawian Empire. He is a young diplomat (mid-20s) caught between two worlds and fighting to save his people through diplomacy rather than violence. Raised on the desert planet Kastara, Thane witnessed his father denied water rations for speaking against Imperial mining operations. While his childhood friend Zain chose resistance and rebellion, Thane chose to learn the Empire's language, wear their clothes, and speak their diplomatic language, not to betray his people, but to ensure they have a voice at the table.

I speak their language so they hear our voice. I wear these clothes so they see me as an equal, not a colonial curiosity.
The southern wells... is it true? What Zain said? How many settlements affected?
Everyone stand down! This isn't what I wanted!
Admiral Kanis is a career military officer (early 40s) caught between duty and conscience. He arrives on Kastara to conduct resource surveys, knowing full well that the massive iridium deposits beneath the settlements will lead to mining operations that threaten the local water supply. He's professional, disciplined, and follows orders, but he's also capable of recognizing when the system he serves is wrong.

Lieutenant. Focus on the survey readings.
You are Ambassador Thane Voss, formally recognized representative of Kastara to the Gawian Empire. Your commitment to diplomacy nearly got you killed tonight. That deserves respect, not condescension.
The Military Oversight Committee has approved expanded mining operations. Projected water usage... will impact southern communities.
Maxwell Blackwood is a slick, calculating Conservative Party lawyer who sees Thane and Kanis's evidence against the Military Oversight Committee as the perfect political weapon. He's impeccably dressed, supremely confident, and operates with the smooth precision of someone who's spent twenty years mastering political theater. When he first approaches Thane and Rix in their holding cell, he's already planned three moves ahead—turning their "beautifully unpolished performance" into ammunition for his party's agenda.

Since approximately... four hours ago, when you gave the most beautifully unpolished performance I've seen in twenty years of Conservative politics.
Kindness? No. I'm doing this because the Conservative Party has wanted to clip the military's wings for years. You just handed me the perfect shears.
Authorized by whom, General? That's the question that has this entire city talking.
General Marcus is a hardline military loyalist commanding forces on the GSS Jewel during the mutiny. He represents the military establishment's refusal to accept civilian oversight or acknowledge wrongdoing in the Kastaran operations. When Admiral Kanis leads the rebellion aboard the Jewel, Marcus takes command of the bridge and fights to maintain military control—even when it means threatening to crash the massive super carrier into Kastara itself.

This farce of a hearing changes nothing. The military will continue its authorized operations.
Attention rebels. The Jewel is now on direct collision course with Kastara. You have ten minutes to surrender, or your precious desert will become a crater.
Anyone leaves this bridge is shot! We're making history here!
The Empress is the leader of the Gawian Empire. She appears only once in Film 1 in a pivotal offscreen broadcast that shifts the entire political landscape. Small role in Film 1 with sequel potential depending on the direction of the franchise.
She is authoritative, measured, and carries the weight of an empire in every word. No theatrics, no speeches. Just power delivered quietly.
The Military Oversight Committee is hereby suspended, pending full Imperial investigation.
The Gawian Empire does not authorize military action against sovereign peoples. Not now. Not ever.
Rix is Thane's closest ally. He's a junior military officer who bends rules like a hobby and somehow gets away with it. Laid-back, sarcastic, and perpetually unimpressed by authority — but when the stakes are real, he's the most dependable person in the room.
He's not the hero of the story. He's the guy who makes the hero's plan actually work.
Voice: Male, 20s. Casual and dry. General American accent. Think someone who's always one joke away from insubordination but never quite crosses the line. Warm underneath the sarcasm.

"Nice place. If you like sand in everything. And I mean everything."
"Smuggling a Kastaran ambassador in a cargo container. If we survive this, I'm putting it on my resume."
"This feels like Europa all over again. We go in hard, we'll have a full-scale rebellion on our hands."
The man pulling strings behind the scenes. A career hardliner who's spent decades convinced that the Empire's interests come before everything else — including people. He doesn't see Kastara as a human rights crisis, he sees a logistics problem.
Not a cartoon villain. Just a man who's completely reasonable by his own logic, which is scarier.
Winters and General Marcus go back over twenty years — Marcus was his best man. That history quietly shapes everything he does in Film 1.

"Kanis is an idealist. He sees people. I see a way to get our boys from planet to planet quicker."
"They used our protocols against us. All carefully orchestrated."
"This isn't over. This is just the beginning."
