‘The Hunt’ - A Gothic Horror One-Shot Set In The LovAnaverse Musical Multiverse
A starving family struggles to survive in a bleak shadowy wilderness. But as the father goes out on the hunt, all is not as it seems…
We are currently casting two roles for this one-shot short story from LovAnaverse. The audio for this episode is already fully produced and we just need to swap out the few lines of dialogue for your performance to bring it to life!
It is a very grim, dark story written very much in the style of traditional gothic horror, with a subtle dark fantasy twist. There are only two speaking characters, a mother and her young son, who are suffering and dying from starvation. Whilst dialogue is minimal, it is impactful - and we’re looking for people who can effectively capture these characters' plight.

Our goal is to create a vast array of living, breathing worlds where music, storytelling, and immersive experiences collide in cinematic audio drama episodes enhanced with art and animation. The experience gets even more interactive with the addition of our upcoming trading card game, featuring cards based on the stories.
You can check out our first episode now - the video embedded in this post. Most episodes going forward will be less visually dynamic than this one, but feature much more depth of story. It is a very dark and heavy episode, though LovAnaverse covers a wide range of thematic and musical genres. Still, it’ll give you an idea of our production quality and vision :)
The Hunt is based in the same dark gothic setting as The Consolation of Philosophy, but is far less grand in scope - focusing on humble peasants in a barren wilderness, rather than the divine grandeur of the courts. It also features a vampiric monster & a blackened death metal song at the peak of the episode's conflict.

Mother is dying of starvation. She speaks with a weak, hoarse voice - a sickly croak, struggling to talk at all. British or Slavic accent preferred, but not required.
Around 30-60 seconds of heavy breathing will also be required, though still with a sick, weak sound - for a scene where she is running at the end.
