About The Hootz (The Kid-Friendly Hip-Hop/Rap/Reggae/Singing Group)

The Hootz were a hip-hop group that was created by people who wanted things to be kid-and parent-friendly instead of dirty and explicit content. The original creators who invented the Hootz discovered that it was impossible to find true hip-hop music that was kid-friendly. There was simply no incredible children's music out there that reflected today's modern production values and chart-topping hip-hop beats. So, they set about creating The Hootz, a quartet of hip-hop owls who could teach educational and cultural fundamentals through music.

The Hootz -- comprised of African-American sister and brother owl duos, Jamaican owl Reason and Hispanic group leader MK (Master Key) -- offer kid AND parent-friendly vocals and beats that encourage children to sing along, follow their dreams and dance.

They have released an album called "Too Hoot to Handle" in 2005. In addition to four inspiring original songs, the all-owl band offers a series of re-imagined children's favorites. A blazing "London Bridge" features verses about working together to fix the bridge. The groove-laden "This Old Bird," a re-envisioning of "This Old Man" uses the metaphor of young owls preparing to fly for the first time to encourage kids to try new things. "You can do anything if you're using your minds/ If you think you can't do it, just try to," offer the owls. "Itsy Bitsy Spider" puts forward a lesson that one should not fear spiders just because they're different. The original "Dust Ya Feathers Off" finds The Hootz singing, "Here is some advice if you ever fall/ just get back up and try again." Some of the other tracks include: "Fun All Day," "Too Hoot To Handle," "Mary Had A Little Lamb," "Old MacDonald" and "Twinkle Little Star."

But after that, the Hootz discontinued. They were supposed to release a book of the Hootz called "The Stars Are Born" but that never happened. In other words, the original creators abandon the "Hootz" project completely.

After years of abandonment, I was thinking, "Why not reboot and revive the Hootz?" If some people can just start over from scratch, do everything from the beginning, maybe we all can have a chance and hope.

Like I said, I am going to revive the Hootz. The message I am sending will be clean-cut, kid-friendly hip-hop music. No dirty and explicit content allowed. If I do this, I want it to be independently funded. Meaning that I want it be a on a Youtube channel with hundred of videos and songs (I will provide the YouTube channel).  And that is not the only thing I am expecting. I wanted to put it into a series of stuff: CDs, DVDs, videos, books, merchandise, etc. I want this to be long and everlasting. Most good and bad things are. Why not??

    Here are the requirements:

    1.   I need people who can get along, are easy going and are willing to work together with other people, not people who are good at stuff but have big alter-egos and quit on other people easily. Thing will never succeed if they do this.

    2. I need a person who can provide to music and beats to the group. It has to be original, not beats that have been from other people. If anyone have Soundcloud please tell me so.

    3. The Hootz were created by other people. So it would be nice if we have a artist around for the direction. Putting on Deviantart is fine with me.

    4. You at least have to have a Gmail or Skype account.

    5. Absolutely no negativity. If I want this to go through I need everyone to "think positive". Positivity gets us to all places. Negativity gets us no where. Always!

Also I am sorry that I deleted my last few accounts due to setbacks of some people. I will promise you that this account will not and never be deleted. That is why I am not going to give up this project. I am sticking to it no matter what it takes. If it takes an eternity to do so, so be it. If you are interested in this projects don't be shy. Join the party!! You are all welcome here. My treat :)

One more thing: For those of you who previously auditioned for the "Hootz" project, please don't hesitate to audition again. I would love to hear your voices once more.
