Project Overview

The Failed Experiment. An animated story of four friends who get caught in a nightmare.  They learn the true definition of what a nightmare is and what a dream is. 


This is a scary story that is PG-13 despite the violence and gore some may think will be in it. There are two girls and two boys, there's one couple and one pair of siblings who are twins. 

There is the monsters they meet along the way and the occasional helpful spirit who doesn't want anyone else to suffer the same fate as them. Some spirits aren't helpful though, they're out for blood. The monsters have tainted them and now they're just like the nightmares.

I don't care if you have a good mic or not, just as long as the quality is good and you have good acting skills. If something is wrong with the recording that you think will impact my decision, please comment and let me know. I will pm you if you got the role so that way you can give me your Skype. I also need your email so that way I can send you the google doc where the script is located.

This project is an animation that will be posted on YouTube. I plan to possibly put monetization on it. If I can, and I do receive some money, I will contact all of the chosen voice actors to ask for their chosen shipping place. I will send them some money and obviously keep the rest to myself. 

I am putting a lot of hard work and time into this animation, so it may be a while before the first video is sent out. It will be a little bit before I even have the trailer done for the show. 

I plan to have at least two season of the show, or in total: at least twenty-four episodes. At least twelve episodes for one season. The episodes will be, hopefully, around fifteen to twenty minutes long. 

Some characters, will die or be corrupted. I will let you know if this happens to the character you got so that I can ask you to become a different role once your character dies off. 

The time frame for when it will be done, is still uncertain. I hope to have the episodes completed and out with at least a month. They may be further delayed if I don't have the animations I need done or if all the voice actors that are required for that episode have yet to send me their lines.

I need the voice actors that I chose to be able to wait. If you send in your lines early for example: a few days after I request them, you will have to wait for a while. I plan to ask for the required lines when I've finished the animations for the episode. Please understand that there might be a time gap where you will hear nothing from me.

Liam is as close to perfect a boy can get. He's kind, sweet, caring, protective. He's the one guy who would do anything for to protect the ones he loves, even if it means he dies himself. He is the twin brother of Nora.

She's your typical athletic, tomboy, extremely fit and active, girl. She plays every sport, wins every sport award, and has been asked to join the football team under the disguise as a boy, which she gladly took. 


Her best friend is Nova and her boyfriend is Damien. Despite Damien's personality, Ava believes that Damien is really sweet and kind.

  • What the hell is going on?! Liam, Damien, do either of you know? My best friend just vanished! So someone tell me what's happening!

Nova is the kindest girl you will ever meet.  Ava calls her a unicorn because of her sweet and caring personality. Nova welcomes everyone, forgives people, and is always kind to everyone.


She is the twin sister of Liam and is the one who talks to the spirits. If she acts correctly, she can heal an angry spirit.

Death is exactly as it sounds. It is the leaders of the monsters and will do anything to destroy any human it comes across. It is the only monster that can taint clean souls.

Louie is one of the two kind souls in the nightmare they will meet. He has managed to hide from all of the corrupt souls and all of the monsters and now he wants to help out Nova, Ava, Liam, and Damien. He's very childish and likes to play, but will do anything to protect anyone still alive.
