Project Overview

The Diamond's Gambit is a Warcraft fan film in a 2D.5/motion story format, with a leading original character role being cast.

The jewel thief Kedari Moonriver invites a disgraced Gallywix to her Silvermoon lounge. She reveals that she has stolen from him and anticipates a boost in reputation with the bragging rights - unless they can come to an arrangement that benefits them both.

This style is inspired by the World of Warcraft and Hearthstone 2D.5 cinematics and trailers, I have experience in making these projects and I'm expanding into working with actors! They take me a few months to complete and I don't have a hard deadline set for this one, but I am hoping to be done by the next expansion (Midnight)'s release at the latest. It's estimated to be around 5/6 minutes long.

This is a standalone project with no planned future work with the character being cast (but the potential for future projects is not ruled out entirely). Please be 18 or older, I only want to work with adults.

  • Kedari is cast!

    Thank you all so much for auditioning for this role, honestly I've been pretty overwhelmed by the response. It was no easy task to select from such a large pool, but I have made my choice, and I am stoked to announce that Kedari will be voiced by the incredible Lena de Jong (@dawnglyph)!

    TDG is a big step up in challenge for me and is also the first time I've worked with voice actors this closely on a project like this, and hopefully I can be in a position to create even more film projects in the future. I will keep you all updated on TDG's progress over the next few months on social media (bsky, insta and tiktok). It may take a bit to see anything polished but there is certainly plenty to get done, and I can't wait to really get going!

Prolific jewel thief, queenpin and namesake of the White Diamond club. A thief she may be - but there is nothing subtle about Kedari Moonriver. Jewels, furs, flashy boots, somehow always trailing glitter... with eyes kept on her as the extravagant face of the operation, those that work with her can keep to the background, keeping the show running smoothly.  She's as sharp as a whip, but a powder keg she has to keep a lid on. Although she's often underestimated, she knows when she has a winning hand and will take every advantage of it.

  • Kedari is an original character made for the Warcraft universe, while knowledge of the game/lore is helpful, it isn't a requirement for the role. 
  • She has a prominent southern drawl that she plays into.
  • Medium/high range, but not necessarily young (a mature voice could still work for this character).
