Project Overview
The Deep Dark: Resonance (DDR) follows Jim & Carter as they uncover the ruins of a forgotten civilization, survive the dangers threatening their home, and uncover a mystery buried deep beneath their world.
The series blends rich worldbuilding, character-driven storytelling, and cinematic presentation into an immersive episodic experience. Every episode is carefully crafted, from script development and scene planning to custom environments, cinematic camera work, original music, and layered sound design.
Characters are at the heart of the project. Each role is written with personality, emotional depth, and room for unique interpretation. Voice actors and contributors are encouraged to bring their own creativity and authenticity to the world of The Deep Dark: Resonance.
The production follows an organised indie workflow:
Character reference sheets and context notes for each role
Clear direction and examples to guide performances
Flexible deadlines for volunteer and deferred contributors
Regular communication and project updates
Proper credits and recognition for all contributors
The Deep Dark: Resonance is a long-term passion project. As the story expands, new characters, locations, and challenges will be introduced, allowing contributors to grow alongside the series.
With each episode, the production aims to continue improving its visuals, audio, and storytelling — creating a cinematic experience built around atmosphere, emotion, and memorable characters.

Musician
The Deep Dark: Resonance is looking for composers to help create the musical identity of the series.
I'm looking for composers who can create memorable themes that support character moments, mysteries, and cinematic sequences.
Composers may work on:
Atmospheric and ambient pieces
Mystery and suspense themes
Emotional character moments
Cinematic/action sequences
Character or location themes
The musical direction of DDR focuses on an emotional and cinematic sound, with an emphasis on organic instrumentation, ambient textures, piano, orchestral elements, and atmospheric soundscapes. The goal is to create music that feels human, mysterious, and connected to the world and characters.
You will be provided with:
Scene context and story details
Visual references and rough cuts where available
Musical references to help communicate the intended feeling
Creative direction while allowing room for your own interpretation
Experience with orchestral, cinematic, ambient, or film/game-inspired music is preferred. Unique styles and creative approaches are welcome, as long as they can adapt to the emotional identity of the series.
AI-generated music is not accepted. All submitted music must be original work created by the composer.
Payment & Credits:
Composers are welcome to include their work from the project in their portfolio/showreel after the relevant content has been publicly released!

Voice Actor
Bruce is a loyal and dependable member of Rivermoor, known for his big personality, dry humour, and strong sense of community.
On the surface, Bruce is energetic, playful, and always ready with a joke. Whether he's defending his questionable ideas or turning an ordinary moment into a story, he brings warmth and humour to those around him.
However, beneath the confidence and laughter is someone who genuinely cares about the people around him. Bruce is observant, supportive, and knows when to put the jokes aside to be there for his friends during difficult times.
We are looking for a voice actor who can capture both sides of Bruce:
His loud, cheerful, and humorous personality
His quieter, caring, and emotionally sincere moments
Natural character interactions and chemistry with other actors
A believable range between comedy and serious storytelling
Bruce has a naturally deep, warm, and grounded voice with a subtle Scottish influence, reflecting his background and heritage within Rivermoor. Not looking for an exaggerated or stereotypical Scottish accent.
A natural performance with slight Scottish characteristics is preferred. The most important aspects are the character's personality, emotional delivery, and ability to make Bruce feel like a real person.
Accent accuracy is less important than creating a memorable and authentic character.
