The Bigger Picture - Original Animated Web-Series (Recasts and More Characters)
Project Overview
The Bigger Picture is an original animated web-series created by a team of individuals looking to create a story for people to enjoy. With a team of 30 people (as of the creation of this call), we hope to create a genuinely fun experience for both the viewers and the team behind the project, with everyone having a say in every aspect of the show. Fun is prioritized.
There is no guarantee that you will be payed. It's a no-budget project, because we're doing it for fun. However, if, in the future, money is somehow made from the project, I will certainly pay you.
The story is focused around the concept of a multiverse. There are a lot of worlds, each based off of a genre of story. For example, there's a black and white noir world, a medieval fantasy world, a Sci-Fi world, etc. A ragtag group of people with powers from multiple worlds come together when the multiverse opens up, causing chaos throughout the entire multiverse. No one knows why the multiverse opened, or who opened it, but before they can figure that out, they have to figure out how to work together first, while dealing with an evil government hoping to create a super powerful super soldier using various powers. The main characters are a Marker employee (Marker being a fictional retail store based off of Target), a cyborg, a shapeshifting slime, an elf with electric powers and a mafia boss who turned good(?), with a diverse and ridiculous cast of side characters.

Before auditioning, please consider the following:
-The commitment is rather big. Even though I am not a strict director by any means, and will do whatever it takes to make your time helping fun, this is a big project, and will likely last multiple years. Plus, since this is an early call, the project will likely be slow in production for a while.
-You have to be respectful. No questions asked. I will not tolerate toxicity.
-I don't have strict age requirements, but because our work will be done mostly on discord, you have to be at least 13 years old.

Easily the biggest commitment of all the roles. The second most important character in the entire series, Effie is extremely kind, caring and maternal, but has a bit of a dark past that she regrets deeply. This is a big commitment, as she is a main character, and unlike Faylen, talks a lot and in general is just a very important and frequently appearing character. She is a shapeshifting slime creature created in a lab for the purpose of destruction and evildoing, but she's been trying hard her entire life to break free of that destiny, and wants to instead be peace-loving and kind, against her initial purpose. (Also she's really powerful. Thought I'd point that out, hehe.)
{breaking down} N-no! I don't want to be seen as a murderer! Not by you, not by anyone else! I-I...I don't want to be seen as a monster! I'm not a monster! ...No matter what I do, I can never escape my past...
{casually} Oh, that was nothing. My brain remained intact, so I just had to reform. It took a while, but I got there eventually. It'd take my very molecules being disassembled to kill me.
{caring, maternal, repeatedly getting interrupted by the person you are talking to, as marked by the dashes} I know I might look scary, but don't be scared! I promise, I'm really kind and- hey, shh, it's alright, I'm not an- No, I'm not an alien, it's okay!
Faylen is one of the main characters. She, however, will not have many lines at all. Faylen is actually a completely mute character. She only talks in very specific moments where the plot allows for it (for example, the first time is when she uses her abilities to make her friend, Effie, hear her through her brain.) As a result of this, this is a very important role because it needs to deliver, because it is a shocking moment.
{determined} Effie, you need to understand. I can't leave this world now. I have unfinished business here. He's gone too far.
{concerned} I can handle my father physically. The main concern is the power he holds, how the people believe every word he utters.
{grateful} Thank you, Effie. I think I finally understand what it's like to have true allies.
Centron is a humanoid fox from a world where all humans are animals and World War Two never ended, and it just kept going and going. Centron was a war pilot before the multiverse opened, but when he met two other individuals named Ronald and Craz (from the multiverse), they got together and created a team for their best interests and to gain power in the multiverse. Centron has gone a bit insane through a series of events, and now collects random weaponry, planes and technology.
Edit: Great auditions so far, folks! Just keep in mind that Centron is comic relief. Don't make his voice too serious! Thank you! :)

{thinking, planning, scheming} So, hear me out...Team Stupid is probably going to use Tom for some "heroic" tomfoolery. Heh. See what I did there? ...Ahem, so, all we have to do is capture him!
One of two scientists that work for an evil government of sorts. They are apart of a shapeshifting division set on creating a creature that has the ability to shapeshift - for spying purposes. After their division leader died, the two of them took over any and all work on the division and eventually created the shapeshifter.
EDIT: I'm seeing a lot of over-the-top applications for this guy. I appreciate the effort, and they're very good, but this character is NOT over-the-top! He's cold, stern and serious in a calm way.

{proud} You see? I knew it! The plan was as strong as iron! Operation F.E. was a total success!
Alvara, Faylen's mother, cares for Faylen. Faylen's father, Elfis, does not. Elfis is the king of the Elves, and has all the power he could dream of. Alvara attemps to keep him in check, but eventually dies in a so-called "accident" arranged by Elfis.
{serious} Do not betray the tradition we've held for so long.
{worried, serious} It's a tradition that's been going on for generations. Do not abandon it.
{honest} Is it? Or are you simply hungry to maintain your own power?
